"The best laid plans of mice and men," as Robbie Burns said, "often go awry."

I don't think it is possible to map out your life and have it go as you expect. The beauty of life though is that man is resilient and can adapt and change. Adversity may suck but there is joy at unexpected blessings along the way.
I AM astounded that the police should have to be called to attend disturbances at some UK stores because of Black Friday shoppers fighting over so called bargains. Some people need to get a life!
Full Scottish.

That's a Full English but with Lorne Sausage, Hash Browns and Black Pudding.

Yeah, I known full of calories but a great antidote for anorexia!
I have learned learnt from experience that when a new product or new version comes on the market give it a year before buying. It usually takes that long to iron out all the problems anyway.

I can remember when there would be releases of beta versions first before the main version came out to sort out things like this.

I have an iPhone and a Blackberry Z10, both work okay but I spend more time charging them than using them. I also have an old Samsung flip phone. It's just a basic phone but it's a lot less trouble than the others and cheaper to use as well.
Very sad news. I heard he was ill a few months ago. He will be sorely missed, I'm sure, by all AC/DC fans.

Good to see another member of the Young family steeping up.
Today is World Vegetarian Day so I will be celebrating it in style........ a couple of medium rare beef fillet steaks with French fries and mushrooms. Oh, and a glass or two of Shiraz.

So then by that definition, a second person entering a counter statement or idea, that the first person responds to feeling frustrated, challenged or in any other way, feels that his original statement has in the least way been stepped on, could claim "foul", and have 2nd person vanished.uX6Rcp8QbOR1HboT

the same action then could be taken against someone who posts any type of sideline comment, pic, joke, or even a gesture of laughter towards anyone else could be voted off the island.... o.k,,,,

I don't think that your scenarios describes the work of a troll, so in my book, no!

but what defines a "troll"......

Hope this helps!

In Internet slang, a troll is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people,[1] by posting inflammatory,[2] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog) with the deliberate intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[3] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.[4]
As others have mentioned, maybe he wasn't happy with the service. I would like to hear his reasons first before making a judgement.

It is though a bad idea adding tips to the overall bill. I always pay the bill and leave a tip personally for the waiter/waitress. There is usually a good mark-up on food to give the restaurant owner a good return and chefs are well paid anyway. It's the waiting staff that are on minimum wage and deserve the tip.
As well as the legal aspect there is also the matter of privacy. These people, though naïve and perhaps a little stupid, stored these pictures etc., with privacy in mind. I think that should be respected.
I think that Macmillan Cancer Support has shot itself in the foot over this one. With 800 million people in need of fresh clean water throughout the world, wasting water in this way just doesn't do it for me. Macmillan do a great job as a charity but this was a foolhardy idea. It was made even worse for me watching George W Bush rise to the challenge the other night and the previous news item showed thousands of refugees in Iraq on the run from ISIS with little food or water.
Very sad news. Thoughts and prayers with his wife and children and friends left behind.

He once said that 'Suicide was a long term solution to a short term problem'. Sad that he took that solution!

Jock Stein produced the greatest football team ever to grace God's earth, played football the right way, pure, inventive and beautiful. Produced a European Cup winning team of players who lived within a 20 mile radius of paradise, oh and he done it first, before any of the aforementioned. Respect the question but come the 18th of September it will be irrelevant, Scotland will be free! Anyway... Back to masturbating!!! x

Admire your loyalty to Jock. Were they the best ever team? Debatable.

What's happening on the 18th September?
I am not a big fan of Country and Western Music, outside of Taylor Swift (yeah, I know sad isn't it) but I couldn't help but take an interest in the Garth Brooks controversy over his cancelled concerts in Dublin.

Apparently, five concerts were organised for him and the Council would only give permission for only three of them. He said it was all or nothing and when they refused he cancelled all the concerts. 200,000 ticket holders have been left stunned and the nation has been so shocked that even the President of Ireland has now got involved. For a nation that worships the ground that the dreadful singer Daniel O'Donnell walks on why are they so anti Garth Brooks?

What a short sighted Council to turn away all that additional revenue those concerts would have brought in!

Alf Ramsey, Don Revie, Brian Clough, Jock Stein and Bob Paisley were all world class managers.

I'll maybe give you Bob Paisley on that. Alf Ramsey - yes he won a World Cup but it was a case of right time and right place. He did little after that. Clough, Stein and Revie - good club managers, yes, but capable of building a team good enough to win a World Cup? I don't think so.
I hope the Attorney General reviews this sentence and he is made to serve at least 15 years.

Why don't we send a United Kingdom team to the World Cup?

Technically speaking the UK is the country. England is a region.

My gf knows all about soccer but she is stumped by this and none of my friends know the answer.

Thanks

Danny x

Good idea in theory but in reality the Football Associations would not get on and there is quite bitter rivalry between the English, Scots and Welsh. There would never be any agreement between the three.

Would it make us any better playing as a nation? Nope! We have this inflated opinion that we have great footballers when the truth is we are pretty mediocre. You can count world class, home grown, players on one hand. And as for managers........... well outside of Alex Ferguson and Bill Shankly, there has never been a noteworthy team coach/manager in the UK. Sorry but Britiish soccer is appalling. Cricket and Rugby is far more exciting.
