Thanks for putting up the link, Larry. It's in my sig line, but I suspect folks are so used to the days my sig line having 10-20 stories on it in tiny print that they no longer look at it for fear of being overwhelmed. Or something.
And sprite is right, Larry, your story was really imaginative. Yours too, Reese.
Anyway, there were a handful of folks who signed up after the newsletter went out, so I JUST NOW learned how to send a newsletter to a specific segment of subscribers. So if Larry, Hannah, or Pen-man, if you get a newsletter from J G Cain today, that means I did it right. If you don't, either it's in your junk mail folder, you typed in your email wrong, or I fucked up.
Zima please!

Here you go, dear Lady Nicola. You can share some wine, or even a Dirty Martini.Cheers for all the grand things we have around here.
By the way, Hannah, the link to Verbal's newsletter is right here.

That should work. It worked for me earlier today.

don't start every sentence with the name of your character followed by a verb. it starts getting obnoxiously repetitive.
ie.
Sprite sat at the piano and drank coffee while thinking of Hannah. lots of other words.
Sprite had once gotten a tattoo of Hannah on her ass. lots of other words.
Sprite decided to call Hannah and ask her out. lots of other words.
etc.
now, picture a story with 40 paragraphs in it that all start just like that and you'll see what i mean...

things are terrible. place went to hell without you. Hannah got married to some dude and then she tried to steal my gf away and THEN she sat on me. pretty sure everyone else is doing shit behind my back that'll piss me off too. yes, i'm looking at you, Furball.![]()

Where the heck is browncoffee? Either she is working on yet another brilliant story or she is shopping for my extravagant Xmas present.
Think I'll have me a bourbon, I could use a little redemption.
