Anyone else having one of "those" kind of weeks?

lol can someone invent an actual wine bottle like this?
Quote by Frank_Lee

Correct, ma'am. Do you work here or something?

yeah, Jen lured me in and says i can never retire, despite my advanced age

I guess if you were to make a poll for increasing the flash fiction word limit, you could do it here in Site Announcements, it seems like the most appropriate place.

That link is to the latest story by, Frank Lee. It's now one of the four stories on my 'favorites' list. That's is to say, I think it's extraordinarily fine fiction that just happens to be in the 'erotic category' but is very hot. Others giving it 'thumbs up' include: Buz, Hannah, and ChrisM. Check it out for yourself, especially if you're serious about writing.

note: The story is already on page two but at least it's the latest recipient of the much-maligned, Rumplations Recommended Read (RRR) award. ;)

Now I need a drink Anybody else besides Ms Sara?

.

Bill, you actually have ten stories in your favourites list but one of those is mine which appears to be a malfunction. Frank is an annoyingly good writer, the kind where you're just like, "what? How is this fair?" But definitely worth reading anyway because he makes you want to improve and also it's just a privilege to read.

I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving. How are you guys doing with competition entries? You're all entering, RIGHT? Where's sprite when I need her? Hi to everyone, curvy and verbal and Sara and Tonya and bill and ping (zephyr) and Gil (you deserve to be waited on like a queen) and Julie and penman and DS and Larry and Grace.

Köffee, please.

Where's lyfbuz?

We already have Flash and Quickie. Both refer to short stories with fast, spontaneous sex. We could simply define one as less than 1,000 words and the other as 1,001 to 1,500. No new categories would need be created.

I always thought quickies were where the sex was rushed but the story necessarily wasn't.
Wtf is going on in here?! I'm flabbergasted. Bemused. I'll have to read back. I finally came up with a competition entry idea which is in fact an old idea that's been wandering my mind for a year or more. But with half a new idea... It's exciting right now, I only hope it stays that way. Hi to everyone. I'm so lazy I never come here! I should buy everyone 1(one) drink. smile
I love the story. It is possibly one of the greatest stories ever. The LAJ is now of course referred to as K and my use of said K is unkontrollable. I kould not kompliment this fine letter any more than I do. I kan only sing its praises and adore it. The K and I have a special kind of bond. It is such a konsiderate and kareful and kind member of the alphabet. It knocks me out knightly. It is kourageous and kompetent. Never have I known a letter so kickass and kasual and kuietly konfident. Thank you Verbal. and that gif is adorable.
Spreadsheets are so wonderful, I love them. I also love Verbal's writing and this entire thread. Btw you still owe me a story with no K's in it.

Yours,

Special K/spesh/Tracy flick/I swear I had more names/brownköffee
Why are you posting spiders? Why can't you post dresses and hairstyles and jewellery and cake? I need to write. Also need to read.

Tea, please.

P.s. I am really a very nice girl and only learned passively about teabagging from a comedian named Jack Whitehall. Ping and sprite are to blame for any untoward drama in the winter adventure thread
Quote by nicola

Are you thinking of incorporating love "handles" and a guy's "spout" into the plot? Maybe leave that thought brewing for a while.

her story is FULL of teabagging

today, i remembered how to write again. fucking hell, it feels good. i am nailing it. and yeah, still not on Team Prague. smile

am I in your story?? I'm not team Prague either but then, I haven't got a word down yet. I can't wait for one of those days where I write like it's easy

Enjoying coffee in Prague would make a good story.

Morning everyone!

what about enjoying coffee in England?

Yes, the first prize is most impressive. But I would like to hear a little more about the special prize for runners up...

Personally, I'm making no promises (although it does feel like too long since I've managed a comp entry)... but it was in the 30s (C not F) again here today. I'm trying to think snow, but it's not quite happening yet...

snow snow snow SNOW! I'm so glad to see your original avatar, it is one of my top five ever of all the site. The special prize will e exceedingly special and since we're acquainted it will be extra exceedingly special so please write your story because I wouldn't want the prize to go to waste

Lemónade please.
Hey everyone. I love the crowd here btw, everyone is so lovely and I'm so excited to read all the competition entries! I don't like this 50/50 chance thing though: EVERYONE MUST ENTER. It's like $500!! Imagine how many books you could buy with that!

Tea, please.

Would love to take all the credit but really, it only happened because it was requested by writers, and also because... Gav. smile
This issue has been raised a couple of times and thanks to Gav, the Author's Note feature is now available.

As a general rule, notes have always been posted at the ends of stories which isn't always practical. This new feature is specifically for a note you might want your readers to see before they start a story.

You can add the note through the story submission page, exhibit A:

The limit for the note is 1,000 characters and it will appear in italics at the top of the story. The one liner will now be in bold to differentiate. There is no requirement to use the new feature; it's just there in case of need. As it will be separate to the main story, the note will not appear in the home page/profile page extracts thus keeping things neat and tidy and wonderful.

Please remember to only include information relevant to the story. For example, writing 'hannah is truly wonderful heart eyes emoji' would be irrelevant, no matter how true.

Thank you.

Mega-congrats to Hannah on yet another EP, this one for her in-fucking-credible flasher, 'Twilight'. I'd post a link but at the moment I'm too consumed with envy to handle a copy and paste. ;)

Awww, thank you Bill. Thank you for always being so nice and always giving honest feedback, it's tremendous of you.

Thank you to verbal too, your next köffee is on me! I so need to read your latest, I'm so slow lately.

Hi to Scott (congrats on six years!) And Gil, I hope you're recovered asap hi to CG and Sara and Julie and Larry. I think I'll join lyfbuz with an amaretto if he's still around.

I guess drinks are on me, good job sprite's not around. biggrin
Why are you all so NICE? thank you. Especially since I almost didn't write this story and almost didn't even submit it. I'm relieved people still like reading me! Thank you Jen for being so kind always (beach wedding?) and to everyone else, your words mean more to me than I can explain, so really, thank you.
Huge congratulations to the winners and to everyone who placed and entered! Such brilliant, creative writing. smile

I'll join you. I'm just sitting at the airport, presently, about to read some dirty stories while I wait for my flight. Going to see some friends and family and take a long, fun-filled weekend.

That sounds like a lot of fun! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
