and yet another mod calling me names.... wonder how nicola feels about people that represent her and her site (on leave or not, still listed as a mod) resorting to name calling. this is the same type of behavior other users get reprimanded for. guess there is a double standard when it comes to mods.

I'll admit, name-calling is quite juvenile (although I'm not convinced calling someone an "asstard" has ever gotten anyone reprimanded), but it's difficult to do much else when faced with someone incapable of making reasoned, logical arguments and who is easily outraged and offended.

I may, to some extent, represent the site in the sense that I am a mod, but I certainly don't represent Nicola herself. And I think it's pretty clear that the comments I make in the forum are my own thoughts and not a direct response from LushStories.com.

i had too much respect to actually believe for a moment that you truly thought you were being threatened and took it as a humorous statement meant to cool things down before they got heated up.

Really? Because I totally perceived her as an asstard. And perception is everything.
Quote by Milik_the_Red
Nonesense. I made no such statement. If I did, I'd have NO problem in saying so. It isn't subtext, it's just being paranoid. Nymph was exactly right, but this is what I get for displaying what loyalty I have left? Geez!

Milik, I was joking. Obviously you weren't making a threat. Only an idiot would think that.

Take a breath Clum... I'm on your side on this one. Better yet... let's have a drink.

No. I'm too outraged.
Quote by sprite
yeah, but what about the subtext implicit in the subtext?

Quote by NymphWriter
Please explain how what Milik said was a threat because I don't see one. I see him defending the Mods decision and I, for one, agree with him. You are allowed to disagree... but don't accuse him of doing something he didn't do.

The "Or else the Big Bad Mods will get you" was implicit in what Milik wrote. It's called subtext. Geez!

First, I am not outraged, just curious. and the protestations from you and other mods that there is no reason for concern, but still without providing an answer is making the situation curiouser. and seeing is not the same as being to express one's opinion now, is it?,

Well, you seem pretty outraged, but I'll take your word for it.

And no one was ever denied the ability to express their opinion. However, you didn't. You posted four times in that thread and never once actually addressed the issue of Donald Trump's mental health. What you did do was have a general grump about how awful Donald Trump is, and you have about 5000 other threads in which to do that.

So when and where, exactly, were you stopped from expressing your opinion?

Quote by adele
Then, being a mod, and now knowing there is a question as to why, why now do as sprite suggested (in the thread I started) and go find out. and tell us that is what you are doing.

Believe it or not, I, as a story moderator, am not privy to the thought process behind every decision made by every mod who has thread-locking rights. Nor do I even have the means to find out who locked the thread.

So where would you suggest I even start? What do you think I could do that wasn't already being done?

Not that it matters, as the thread seems to be unlocked now. Please do pop over, and try to stay on topic. Ta.
Quote by roymunson101
Definitely not surprised by that response. Rinse and repeat. If you spent 1/10th of the time just answering the question as you spend trying to figure out a clever way not to answer it....fuck it....never mind.

You make the (incorrect) assumption that I have an answer to give you.
Quote by roymunson101
I will have to say that it is pretty funny that there have been so many responses in the thread, but none of them have addressed the reason the thread was locked. It seems to me the most efficient thing to do would have been to just spell out the reason why the thread was locked. Surely that isn't a matter of national security.

That does seem like a pretty simple solution. I wonder why no one has thought of that.

Unless it is a matter of national security. But then, what nation? And if it was, would we even be allowed to say that it was a matter of national security, or would the site have to continue dodging the question, as you seem to think they are?

Alright, I'm convinced - it's definitely a conspiracy.
People really like getting outraged about stuff nowadays, huh? It's a reasonable question, but no reason for people to get their panties in a bunch (or their bonnet "wasped", or whatever other nonsense).

(For the record, nothing is being covered up and no one is being denied freedom of speech. Y'all are still in here having a good old gripe about a thread that everyone can still see, right? If anyone was trying to shut you up, they'd have deleted that thread, and this one too.)
My local time is correct on my profile, but incorrect on the forum (it's an hour ahead, like fucking France or some shit).
A quick search showed that there are 466 members who are 'Male' and list their orientation as 'Gay'.
I think I've known ever since I became aware of my sexuality. The difficult thing was finding the right words to explain it, and also being completely honest with myself.

I'm bisexual, but I don't think one word can convey anyone's sexuality completely. We can only approximate it with the vocabulary available.
Yes, but I only visit it so as not to miss out on important family events.

okay, got an idea but no time to write it.

Write it anyway. smile

What would you say or do if your wife/girlfriend confessed that she would like to try having sex with another woman?

Well, I don't have a significant other, but if I did and they confessed that they wanted to have sex with another person, I imagine that would put a serious strain on the relationship and possibly end it.

I think this question perpetuates a damaging misconception about bisexuality.
I've had almost exclusively positive experiences on Lush. I've made real friends, engaged in meaningful dialogue, and developed myself as a writer and a person.

The site has also helped me to become a great deal more comfortable with my sexuality.

You do seem to be on to something with regard to the underrepresentation of LGBT+ stories amongst EPs. From experience as a moderator, this is probably partly because of fewer submissions into these categories generally. It is a shame though.

Here are some stories from the Gay and Bisexual categories that have been awarded EPs (the top three entries in an LGBT Sex Stories competition):

Hopefully there will be more in the future.

Good. This thang will need someone to brighten things up because I'm plunging back into my dark, twisted, fucked up roots and the judges are gonna need an IV drip of the feels if I can off my idea how I want to.

Good. Evidence already that the same prompt can inspire wildly different types of stories. I love this competition.

Yay! It's been too long.

It really has, and I'm really enjoying it. It's soppy and romantic, just like me.
There's nothing funny about colonialism. Many English people still haven't quite grasped that, it seems.

Agreed. Emma Stone is FOINE!

Angelina Jolie. Hard pass. And Johnny Depp.
