I have not written in Facesitting, but have in and still have the badge. I had been told once you have the badge, you keep it. So no clue why you and Brookell lost yours when Facesitting was added. I’m assuming y’all have talked to Admin about it.

Yes, Brookell raised that with whatever Admins at the time saying that Nicola had said once you got it you kept it but was told she wasn't getting it back without doing the Facesitting.. so now she has the Prolific Writer badge and doesn't write here any more.. which is a real shame. I did the facesitting story and got it back immediately.. there haven't been any categories added since then so I don't know if that glitch is fixed or not... though I doubt it.

Omnium is a great goal. I might make it one day too, but I need to branch out more.

You are free to republish your stories in any category. Sometimes new categories are added which are a better fit for old stories. It might not even trigger a resub to the moderators. I'm not sure though. Add a note in the Moderator Notes box just in case so that we know that's the extent of the changes.

If you haven't done already, I would suggest using the Series Link feature to join the chapters too.

I don't think the poetry categories are included in the count. And I think Fantasies is also exempt but I'm not 100% on that.

If new categories are added, your badge will still remain. I think it only impacts anyone who goes for the badge after the category is introduced. As far as I know there aren't any plans to add new categories any time soon.

Hi WW, you now lose the badge when new categories are added. I had to do a Facesitting story to get mine back and Brookall lost hers for the same reason.

You don’t have to write Fantasies as I got mine without one.

As far as I know, you have to write both a love poem and an erotic poem.

If you write 2 in every category do you get a number 2 beside the Omnium badge?

I really liked the function on lush v1 which told you how many total views your stories had and which categories you had written in. It was really simple and you could see how many views and categories other authors had as well so you could be a voyeuristic stalker too

I also really liked how on v1 you could list your stories by category too, instead of just being in date order

Will A.I. take jobs? Yes. Will A.I. destroy creativity? No. Microsoft word was going to get rid of secretaries, photoshop was going to get rid of graphic designers and calculators were going to get rid of mathematicians. A.I. is a tool and while it produces some cool looking stuff it doesn’t create anything. It gathers stuff that already exists and merges them together. Sure it makes pretty pictures but it’s not creating something new. Even those pictures are being manipulated and created by an artist using prompts, refining etc etc. As a creative I’m not worried about A.I. but it will take jobs because people will get A.I. to do something that isn’t art but is “good enough” for their brochure or post or whatever. People that like shiny photorealistic stuff that’s almost real will take it cos it’s cheaper than a real photographer or artist but they are the same people who think that just because they can right click on an image on the internet and click Save as means they can use it so there is always going to be those who use it, ethical or not

I am curious... who judges the stories? What do the judges look for? Style, reality, flair, etc...? I ask because in looking at past competitions, stories that have he most "hot" votes from readers aren't the stories that win. I have published many papers and articles in magazines, several novels and one textbook. I use LushStories as more of a personal diary and just enjoy writing and love reading others fantasies and stories. Thanks!

My interactions doesn’t list anything newer than 4 days ago despite notifications saying people liked stories when I log either

Well, I decided to enter... it's not as dark as most of my stories but that's not really saying much. I'll let you be the judge... The Key An exploration in what happens when a good girl needs help to make sure she follows the rules.

Hi, I know this will seem minor to most people but I love how the Writing awards are at the top of the list of badges - Editor's Pick, Famous Story, Recommended Read come first, then the rest of the badges are in alphabetical order.... Can the Omnium badge be put at the top too?? It is a writing award that is quite hard to come by.. there are only 13 of us at present.. pretty please??? Susie xx

Hi folks.. been a while since I’ve been in here but, noting the stains of the carpet, it looks much the same.

It’s St Patrick’s weekend and I just posted a new story… and watching the Taoisoich giving Joe Biden some shamrocks so thought I’d stick the muppets on the jukebox

Yay, published. Onto the next story...

Hmmm. What should I focus on? I have about three or four more ideas for stories in my Delivery Chronicles series. But I also have collabs with Jen, tams_back_yay, MollyDoll and CuriousAnnie to pay attention to. Plus a host of half finished stories:

One set in a changing room.

One sci-fi one about an inter-dimensional portal.

Part 4 of my Tabby: Cheating Colleague series.

One about a lecturer and student.

A cheating story about panties.

A BDSM piece that focuses on nipple clamps.

Decisions decisions... anyone got any preferences?

I’d love to read your colab with Tams. Seems like it’s been ages since she wrote anything.. but hey… I’m not picky. Looking forward to whatever you write x

Resolved.

Sadly it’s not. Sometimes when I click on update settings I get a green banner saying settings changed , sometimes I don’t. Either way it stays on last online 2 hours ago

Whenever I try to turn off the always appear offline setting, it stays on offline - last online 2 hours ago.,

I tested with changing lots of other settings like show friends on profile and it changes fine but the appear offline one is stuck.. is this happening to anyone else?

Technically, Solstices are pagan holidays, celebrated by druids, norse-pagans, Wiccans, Green Wtiches, and myriad others.

So Christmas is only celebrated by Christians then?

Christmas was only selected by the Roman Pope Julius in the 4th century as Jesus' birthday because no one was going to give up on the feasting of Saturnalia... I think Seeker's solstice story is as relevant to Christmas as Die Hard

Hi, is this a glitch?

Denny62's story, Pamela from the quickie Sex competition in January 2014 is top of the front page saying it was published an hour ago.

Just wondering

So… can we expect results by… say EOD Friday? smile

I think it said the 6th November which is Monday… but that was before there wee so many…. Though 150 micros is still less than a couple of Noir entires..so who knows where, who knows when lalala

Maybe it’s the films you are watching? I can’t recall any films recently with hordes of buxom ladies tumbling over everything… maybe if you give us some examples it’ll help jog the memory

Ok. I know you’re asking the guys but I’m fed up of hearing from guys later who said they held back because they didn’t know if I wanted it. I think the good guys are scared of crossing a line without consent snd I really think you should just give him a big flashing sign that you’d like him to make a move as in my experience guys suck at subtlety

I always thought Puddleduck and Paper girl were the same person, writing at different times. Regardless, beautiful stories out of both of them, and among my faves here. Frank Lee and BrownCoffee were also superb, back in the day.

Puddle duck and Fuzzyblue were the same writer at different times. Fuzzyblue had some amazing stories too.

Monica3 is often overlooked but has some fantastic series

WannabeWordsmith is one of my favourites together with Jaymel and Sprite

You can go and edit your story at any time. Just open the link to view it, scroll down to the bottom and the Edit button should be there. If it's been published, that will temporarily pull it off the site until the changes have been reapproved.

I thought you were not allowed to edit a competition entry until after the results? so that people couldn't react and change their story based on comments, feedback etc??? or does that not apply any more?

Fair enough. Maybe it should have been clearer in the rules then.

In that case does the word have to be pumpkin or can it be any other member of the Cucurbitaceae family?

Or since pumpkin carving came from Europe and they didn’t have pumpkins there and carved jack o’lanterns from turnips or swedes can turnip be used instead? Or turnips even.. or neeps?

Noticed a few with ‘pumpkins’ too.

Are they disqualified since they can’t read the rule or does that go by the way too?

Just thought it better to get this clarified now since the debacle with the Debauched competition where some stories were sent back to be rewritten as they didn't have a wish while others were allowed without a wish and it created all kinds of bad feeling so rules were going to be clearer in future I think was the decision from Nicola at the time.

I'm getting to an age where I find myself increasingly irritated by people screwing up perfectly fine things in the name of novelty and progress. I find the free open-access nature of Lush Stories part of the appeal. We're a community of amateur writers sharing our work freely with each other. Monetizing that would introduce a commercial aspect to the site which I think would undermine its charm and community-mindedness. If you want to be paid, there are other sites (a big one starting with the letter A, for instance) where you can self-publish and sell your work.

I love the bluntness and directness of this. I hated the idea of lush coins from the start. I saw it would be used to buy things other than tip authors but lush management think that’s ok and use coins however you want.. it’s just another example of Jello Biafra’s song That’s Progress
