How often have you experienced a condom break?
Could you identify what the cause was? Did the fault likely occur due to an improper use of the condom?
Are there any practices/kinks that are more likely to cause a condom break for you?
The terms used to describe the frequency in the poll can be subjective, but you can consider them as follow:
Very often: Condom break is very likely, to the point where using condoms is almost futile
Regularly: Condom break is infrequent, but happens much more often than you'd like
Rarely: Condom break is unlikely, it happens at times but the use of condoms is generally reliable/safe
Very few times: Condom break only happened on a few rare occasions in your life (1-3 times)
For the record, here are the proper guidelines to follow when using a condom:
1- Verify the expiry date of your condom(s)
2- Open the condom wrapper carefully and make sure not to damage the condom in the process
3- Determine the way the condom should be unrolled (do not unroll the condom!)
4- Make sure the penis is fully erect before putting on the condom
5- Pinch the reservoir at the tip of the condom
6- Place the condom over the head of the penis and unroll it completely down the shaft
7- Start over with a new condom if you fail to properly achieve any of the previous steps
8- Use sufficient water-based lube during intercourse, in the case where your partner's vagina isn't lubricated enough
9- Watch for signs of breakage/slippage during intercourse, and put on a new condom if necessary
10- After ejaculation, hold the base of the condom when removing your penis from your partner's vagina
If you fail to observe any of these steps thoroughly, you pretty much qualify as using condoms in a 'careless/inadequate' manner (as described in the poll).
Note: You can also discuss about condom slippage, which is another issue that a lot of people experience with condoms.
