My contest story needs editing. And a title. I had a title, but the word limit meant that some elements had to go, one of those was what the title I'd had referred to, so I need a new one. I am very happy with this one, although I think it's too extreme to have a chance of winning. At least it doesn't break TOS this time. The last one did a little and I had to tone it done (Sorry, Curvy, and thank you).

Yeah, I know. I'm more of a baseball fan, which makes me by far the odd bear out in Toronto! I mean, hockey is an exciting sport, much moreso than baseball, but…I find I tend to follow the sports I used to play.

I root for the Raptors as well as the Jays, because I played basketball and baseball as a kid, but was never any good at hockey. I was more into figure skating, which was regarded as a girly thing when I was growing up. (shrug)

I haven't been around much lately. I have been busy and also I was ill last week. Feeling much better now and Just submitted a short fetish piece. I am also trying to catch up on my reading, especially with the contest going. I thought about writing for it, but the theme didn't really do much for me, so I'm just supporting those who did. I hope everyone is doing well! I didn't mean to take a break. It just happened. I did use the time to write a new story, which I am patiently waiting to be published. I think it's a fun one. One trail we hike comes up out of the woods and runs across the open face of a mountain slope for about half a mile or so with a couple of switchbacks. The road below that goes to Cotttonwood Pass is clearly visible along that stretch of trail although its probably 300 to 400 feet below us and maybe a quarter mile or more away horizontaly. We've skinny dipped in mountain lakes to cool off, a few times when others also were but usually just us. Never for long because those lakes stay ICE COLD all summer! Painful yet refreshing, and Mr. WnW complains of shrinkage. No worries, it always comes back.


I look forward to, when the weather is nicer, being able to take my weekend hikes. There's a couple of lakes that are fairly private and fun to skinny dip in during the summer and there's usually no hurry to get dressed afterwards. smile

I thought we had some nice conversations, Jack, but you sort of faded out on me. lol Some general advice. We're all struggling right now. Life is not perfect for anyone with the pandemic. Stick to fun topics. Keep it light. Don't complain about your situation. When you get closer as friends, it's different, but at first, just talk about things that interest you or are passionate about, find some shared interests. It doesn't have to be sex and you can flirt talking about anything. Movies, skiing, hockey, music, whatever.

Also, some people just connect right away. Not everyone does, though. You need to be okay that you're not going to connect with everyone or that it takes time to connect with some people. Just keep trying and don't give up. There's a lot of people out there to chat with. I've found a few that I really connect with and a lot that I don't. That's pretty normal, I think.

Also, don't start the conversation off (and you didn't do this, but some guys do) "What are you doing? I'm horny." lol.
