It's about a year now that I use coconut oil mostly for cooking. It’s actually essential for this use, since the smoke point (when oil breaks down) is very high. Therefore coconut oil is stable and also very dense, I found that I use much less oil.
I thought it would impart a “coconut” flavor to anything, but it does not. I use extra virgin coconut oil, however I was told that the term virgin should not apply to coconut oil. I have never, so far ingested coconut oil regularly with a spoon. I will try... If you see or feel a difference in your body please do post. Thanks.
Common misconception is to use (as I did forever) Extra Virgin Olive Oil for cooking, being regarded as an healthy oil and it is but only if consumed raw.

Yes, I do enjoy wines. I’m not going to go into specific since my taste, although getting better and recognizing subtle aromas, it is still uneducated. I enjoy mostly reds and some whites.
I like very much a Barbera with dinner. The palatable Amarone is however my favorite. Shiraz is another. For a white I would go with a Chablis and not a fan of Pinot.
New York has some good and inexpensive wines as it was reported a few years ago. I would not drink the $30 per gallon jugs, as someone once said “wine can be made also with grapes”.
