I’ve never been asked to help judge one of the Lush competitions, but don’t envy those who agree to shoulder this responsibility. They do a fine job.
As a fun exercise, however, I thought it might be interesting to look at whether the number of views a story gets bears any relation to its eventual position. So a couple of days ago, just before the results came out (to avoid any skewing from people flocking to read the winners), I counted up the number of views each comp entry had received (51 in total). The top ten most read stories (as of 11 January 2021) were as follows:
1. 5930 – The Pandemic Didn’t Stop Secret Sex Clubs by Lucky_lildragonfly
2. 5180 – Birthday Bukkake Bonanza by Naughtyannie (9th)
3. 4830 – Patty and the Bunk House Boys by cumbichance
4. 4829 – Lily’s First Experience by Road_Runner
5. 4770 – A Night on the Town by DarkSide (8th)
6. 4705 – When the Cat’s Away by Saucymh (3rd)
7. 4634 – Delicious Wishes by techgoddess
8. 3820 – Jailbait by Cat_getsthecream
9. 3622 – The Lush Ball by DaisyChained
10. 3484 – Tied Down by JamesMerton1960
Three of these made the judges’ Top 10 (score in brackets).
But what of the full winners list? The number of views they had got as are as follows, with the position out of 51 entries in brackets:
1. 1977 – Arabella and the Author by Tams_back_yay (35th)
2. 1865 – The Ghost of Fucks That Never Were by Jaymal (38th)
3. 4705 - When the Cat’s Away by Saucymh (6th)
4. 3035 - 24 hours from Tulse Hill by deviantsusie (15th)
5. 3413 - A Little Christmas Magic by fillelapine (11th)
6. 1325 - New Life by Piquet (44th)
7. 1504 - Satan Invades The Vatican by StarBelliedBoy (43rd)
8. 4770 - A Night On The Town by DarkSide (5th)
9. 5180 - Birthday Bukkake Bonanza by naughtyannie (2nd)
10. 2056 - Don't Deliver Me From Evil by vanessa26 (32nd)
So half of the Top 10 winners (including nos 1 and 2) were in the bottom 20 by number of times read. Three of the Top 10, of course, were in the Top 10 for reads too, making them popular with both readers and judges.
There are of course many reasons why some stories may get more hits than others, and clearly it is not always a measure of their quality. But it is at least an interesting exercise, I hope you’ll agree. And some of those who weren’t recognised by the judges can at least take satisfaction from the fact that Lush readers as a whole were attracted to their stories. Well done all of you!
Very many congratulations to the Top Three, and a round of applause to the other six runners-up who (along with myself) propped them up in the table. I'm honoured to be in their company.
I agree that there were some cracking stories this time, and I'd hate to have had to place them in any kind of order. There are a couple I haven't read yet, so will enjoy catching up over the next few days.
Well done again! Annie x
So excited to strip off all my clothes and splash around naked with Vanessa and Steph. I'm wet just thinking about it.
I think of my boyfriend's member quite a lot when I'm not on Lush.
I like all sorts of sexual fluids.
Oh wait, that's not what you meant, was it?
Yes, I do. It's messy and can be awkward to clean up, but it's still fun. I don't find it degrading at all, if done in the right spirit.
Though I don't much like it in my eyes, obviously.
I do love cum splattered all over my tits.
Definitely. With legs like that, I bet she's a good swimmer too.
As long as she's buying ;)
Naughty. But she could be nice.
Congratulations, Kimmi! Well deserved!
I can vouch for the fact that this is a terrific, fun piece of writing. Read and enjoy!
It's been a rough day. I need wine. What's the biggest bottle you've got behind the bar?
