Quick and Risqué Sex Competition

For this competition we want to read about quick, dirty and frantic sex.

Time is of the essence, you haven't got long ...

Competition Theme

Picture a scene in which sex is fast and frenetic. Maybe a stranger catches your eye in an empty train and you have ten minutes to make things happen before the end of the ride where a stale homelife beckons? You're trying on sexy outfits in a changing room and ask your partner for their opinion and one thing leads to another?

Perhaps you're in a job interview and decide to swing things in your favour? Your home help wants to earn a tip but your partner is scheduled to return home at any moment? Nightclub toilets anyone?

To represent the urgency of events, we are restricting the word count to 1,000 words for this competition.

All our standard story contest rules apply. All characters must be over the age of 16.

Prizes

Winner: $150
Second Place: $100
Third Place: $50

Full details and dates here >>

What an excellent contest this one was. I thoroughly enjoyed reading through all the entries. Our writers nailed the brief.

I'd like to congratulate Wannabewordsmith, Jake and Tam for taking out the Top 3 places:

The Gift of Leather, by WannabeWordsmith.
Sweet Epiphany, by Jaymal.
Playing For Keeps, by tams_back_yay.

The following entries round up the Top 10, and if you haven't done so already, I recommend giving them a read too:

Under The Table, by DarkSide.
Pretty, by StarBelliedBoy.
Rosie Won’t You Please Come Home, by CuriousAnnie.
A Private Function, by deviantsusie.
Filth Kitten, by VioletVixen.
Bi Golly - The Night A Southern Baptist Virgin Let The Kinky Submissive Out To Play, by techgoddess.
Toilet Slut, by fillelapine.

To the winners, I'll be in touch today regarding your prizes.

A huge thank you to everyone who wrote stories for this competition and made it the success it was. I'd also like to thank everyone who took the time to read, comment and vote on them, and to our shortlister and judges who ranked them for me.

A new competition will be announced soon!

Cheers,

Nicola x
I like this!

"The internet is an artificial Vegas." Great line!

Nicola,
Is that an option open to all of us who want to give you our money?

Absolutely. Thank you!
The Platinum Membership upgrade was removed at the same time we took out the Bronze Membership option.

If you PM "Gav" directly he can fix it up for you.

Thank you for your support.

I can count on one hand the number of people who have contributed anywhere near as much as my dear friend Rachel has to this site over the last 11 years.

She came here a fresh faced innocent (yeah right!) back in June 2010, and having read her first few stories, I soon realised we had a special talent on our hands. Indeed, in the following year, her excellent "Paris in Flames" took out our "Summer Loving" story competition, and went on to become a legendary story. She's been placed in competitions off and on ever since.

Take a look at some of her impressive stats:

Author of 211 pieces.
15 Famous stories.
2 Legendary stories (over 100K views).
Over 1 million total story views.
More than 500 followers.

It isn't just her huge writing talent which I admire. It is her caring, humble and giving nature. She has helped literally hundreds and hundreds of writers improve their craft, and contributes hugely to intelligent and meaningful debate in the forums. Her "Project Semicolon" thread is one of the most popular on the site. Not to mention her being a riot in the private mod forums.

She also came up with the idea of giving shout-outs to people who have given so much back to the community here, as well as writing up forum posts in their honour. Now it's her turn to be on the receiving end (you know I won't do this as much justice as yours)!

On a personal level, I consider her a good friend. We've shared many a squiffy IM session (either one of us / both) over the years, and her support and consideration has been massively helpful.

Rachel, you're a gem. We love you. Thank you for everything you do around the site and for being you!

Congratulations on becoming the first recipient of our "Lifetime Achievement Award." And yes, you're also officially "Awesome" with a badge to prove it!

Everyone, please show your love and respect for the amazing Sprite!

Cheers!

Wishing one of my favourite ever people here a huge HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

She's an enormous help on a personal level, one of our writing rock stars, a design goddess, does about 3 times more around the site than I do, and has ten times the energy. Not to mention her sex appeal

In fact I wonder why I'm kept on at all?

Happy Birthday Liz. We love you!

Happy 26th Vanessa!

I have celebrated mine for a few years now ...

Great news, although not so much with the impending loss of Gav. He's been a superb behind-the-scenes guy and he's helped me quite a few times. Like everything else in life, change is the essence of life. Without out change, there is only death. I'm looking forward to seeing and using the end product. Thanks for the updates, Nicola.

Yes, it's remarkable what we've achieved here with Gav's enormous help, considering what he's done on a shoestring budget and very little free time.

Single-handedly keeping a site going on a part-time basis, which serves 20m unique visitors and 200m pageviews p.a., is one heck of an achievement. That puts us well into the Top 1% most visited sites on the web. =d>

Overall, I think this is good news. Though after the so-so experience with that attempt at a mobile site, I'll have to see the finished product to be convinced.

Things are a little different this time around.

Before they were trying to shoehorn our mobile site into their platform, without the ability to fully synchronize between both sites.

They are now full partners and are writing the site from the ground up with access to everything.

With over 70% of our traffic on mobile devices, those are what the new setup will be geared towards, together with making the "desktop" version a lot cleaner and more user friendly.

Due to all the admin functions Gav added on the backend, the forums here haven't been updated since 2007. They are one of the core areas of the site that need a big improvement.
Hi folks,

Just so you all know what's happening, I thought it best that I post regarding impending changes at Lush HQ.

We have again partnered with the HQ Group (who set up the mobile site for us) and they will be helping with the ongoing development on Lush going forward.

Gav will be stepping aside due to personal commitments as soon as we upgrade to the new platform in the next 3 months or so. He has done a brilliant job with the site over the last decade and a half, but is no longer able to allocate the time and energy to maintaining and developing the site.

Right now behind the scenes there is a whole team of developers working full time taking all the bits that make this site great and coding them onto a new platform. What I mean by that is the new home will be familiar feature wise, but also benefit from being a lot more up to date and mobile responsive. All the forum posts, content, GIFs and anything else content wise that is on here will move over.

The chat will join their global service which means that we will have our own Lush protected rooms that no-one other than site members can get in, but members will also have the ability to chat with 1000s of other members from all over the world in global rooms if you want to. We used a cut down version of their chat on the old mobile platform, but you never had access to the global chat (which rocks!).

The new forum will be mobile responsive so you don't need to scroll on your phone. They are just making sure all the forum signatures etc., will work on it. Every category, sub category, and post will be there.

Story wise they are pretty much copying every feature on the site, voting, scoring, tags, badges, competitions etc..

Groups will be improved, but once again also feel familiar with the tags to navigate etc., and you'll have the ability to list events if you want to.

Profiles are probably where you will notice the biggest changes. There will be better albums, media etc.. There is also the same kind of friends, following, followers features, but the layouts will be a bit different to be mobile responsive. They are also copying all the badges, stories, and other functionality over that we have. What they can't do is have animated GIFs as backgrounds although there is a customizable panel at the top. It's to do with Google page load times now as most people view on mobile devices these days and we will be penalized for slow loading pages.

Still on the profiles, there is a really good filter tool that will save you getting unwanted attention from other member groups as well. For example if you don't want attention from single males it will filter them all out of everything so you can focus on seeing activity and feedback from user groups you want to.

I have been told that, "Development will be ongoing for at least the rest of the year making feature upgrades as well as site speed improvements etc. We have a mission critical priority list to get through in the next few months, and only after that is done can we move on to any other features."

Having stuck with the same design and technology for over 15 years, I have to say I'm very excited to see the new site in action. Functionality, speed, responsiveness, features etc. will all be greatly improved.

I will post further details as things progress.

Cheers,

Nicola
Proud And Kinky Competition

Celebrate Pride Month by letting your kinky side out!

Competition Theme

Harnesses, leather suits, ball gags and furries have become a regular feature at many Pride events, with the LGBTQ community often champions of bringing sexual diversity into the mainstream.

For this competition, we are looking for stories which feature LGBTQ characters enjoying their kinks and fetishes.

Perhaps a gay couple spice things up with some bondage, a bisexual woman seeks a thrill from public sex, or a trans man discovers the joys of figging and spanking.

The combinations and possibilities are only limited by your imagination.

As an added challenge, we are limiting the word count to 2,500 words for this competition.

Prizes

Winner: $150
Second Place: $100
Third Place: $50

Dates and full details can be found here >>

I'll post about this in the next few days.

The forums are an integral part of the site and will of course remain so.
Chipping in with a stellar 58 stories in May, this mod is a relative rookie to the team.

Please thank Leftlingula for his time and help around the site.
I'll have a white wine spritzer please Rumps. I'm still in holiday mode after 4 days away in the Cotswolds. Arguably the nicest part of England:

I just noticed there appears to be a ghost in the top window Anyone else see it (top pic)?

Trinity College, Oxford:

Excellent Jen, nailed it.

There are more than a few people recently who've felt like this is a chance to write any old dross. Some of which gets past our goalkeepers (maybe at the end of a shift, paid minimum wage during their 8 hours at the keyboard (they are all unpaid volunteers)), but the thing which sets us apart from other sites is our stolid and staunch commitment to quality.

Please don't submit nonsense folks. It wastes everyone's time.
When I remember, I take a spoonful of the organic AVC before bed, either neat (try and avoid your teeth as it can damage the enamel), or in a little warm water. It has enormous health benefits as you say.

And in the mornings, before anything else, I squeeze half a lemon into some warm water and sip that until it's gone. It too has multiple health benefits: https://www.healthline.com/health/food-nutrition/benefits-of-lemon-water
As intellectually interesting as some might find this, I think it's done its dash.

This has become tiresome and taken up far too much of our limited moderators' time.

Let's get back to what we do best here. Write and publish hot stories and poetry.
Happy Birthday Mysteria27!

One of our most prolific writers with closing in on 1500 submissions and one of only 2 people in the "Ten Millionaire Badge Club". A massive achievement!

Have a lovely day.

Hi Nicola. Sorry, but I couldn't resist saying this. smile

Never ask LushStories.Com members for advice.

What do you mean? There's some excellent advice being posted!
April saw an excellent team effort on the story verifying in what was a busy month. A dozen verifiers processed at least one story per day over the month.

Jen, Curvy, Tam, El Henke and Jai all chipped in with huge contributions of over 50 stories each.

One person absolutely knocked it out of the park though, reading 164 submissions (my eyes hurt thinking about it).

A huge thank you goes to MollyDoll for her incredible efforts.

I'll be in touch regarding your $100 prize MD!
What a lovely weekend, courtesy of the National Trust.

The rhododendrons were out of this world. Like something from Jurassic Park I imagine!

Get out and about in nature. It's soul food:

Greetings to all Lush groupies and Rumplations gropers. Just so y'all know, I wont be around as much as usual for the next few weeks. Here's why:

My number three great-grandchild will be coming home from the hospital today. 'Addy' checked in at six pounds twelve ounces and is ready to dominate family activities for some time to come. For those keeping count, she's g-g kid number three and g-g daughter number two and is the first-born of my own first born's first-born.

Also and in a distant second place, I was both disappointed and a bit depressed by my contest entry, 'Cross Burning for Dummies, not making it into the top ten. It's time for me to back off writing and come to terms with beeing, at best, a not too bad writer.

Now don't get your hopes up. I'll be checking in here ever so oftten to follow the BS (Bovinius Supremeus) of the assembled Rumplators and to read all your trashy, tawdry, tasteless, torrid, tantalizing and otherwise terrific tales.

So for now, anybody need a drink?

Later, Rumplators.

Congratulations Bill!

You're being too hard on yourself! I thoroughly enjoyed your story and have given it an RR. Very funny and up to your usual high standards. I wasn't involved in the shortlisting this time around so don't shoot the messenger! Not everyone can be in the Top 10 unfortunately.

Please don't be a stranger. You're one of our community's founding fathers and well loved!

Yeah, what a difficult theme topic. I contemplated entering but couldn't figure out what the fuck to write that fit the theme.

Regardless, congrats to the winners AND the placers. What a creative bunch. It speaks well to the sense of community here at Lush for everyone to pull together and compete at the same time whenever a comp hits.

I'd like to borrow the word stonking too. Is there some sort of form we need to fill out?

Stonk form 307.
This competition was highly entertaining on a number of levels.

We had some fabulous entries and only 6 points separated the top 2, from a panel of a dozen judges.

Great work Phil, Jeff and Jake! You take out the Top 3 spots:

The Foolish Freshman, by PhilU.
Locke, Cock & Two Smoking Jetboots, by WannabeWordsmith.
Mindfuck: Love and Payback, by Jaymal.

Making up the Top 10 are these wonderful entries:

All Systems Functioning, by GrushaVashnadze.
Netflix and Chill, by Wilful.
The Emu, the Kraken, and the Fool for Love., by CuriousAnnie.
Mesmeric Tarot, by PervyStoryteller.
Harebrained Or Lesbian Bunny Sex Cult, by vanessa26.
All Tamara's Panties, by deviantsusie.
Pussified, by VioletVixen.

A huge thank you to all those who took the time to craft their stories, to our shortlister, judges and everyone who commented and voted on the stories.

EP's and RR's will be allocated shortly.

Cheers,

Nicola
