With the Olympics upon us, we thought it would be a nice idea to make our latest story competition, sports / fitness related.

This is a very open themed competition. Stories should incorporate some kind of sport, fitness or athletics related plot.

Competition Theme

Examples of things we'd expect to see would be stories set in or around: sport stadiums, gyms, locker rooms, sports halls, and involve athletes, their groupies, personal trainers, sports activities and competitions.

A few ideas: Maybe a coach decides to give her entire team, a special winners' present in the hot tub ... Two guys in the Olympic swim team, discover that breaststroke isn't their favourite type of stroke after all ... A quickie happens between female beach volleyballers as they help each other apply sun cream in preparation for their imminent final ... A couple of kinky gymnasts make use of the bars and ropes after the lights go out ...

I think this is one for Gav to answer.

All ad networks use cookies. If you visit any commercial site with ads, you will have cookies served up.

I'd prefer you discuss things like this with Gav directly, and in private, rather than unduly cause concern to our members.

It has nothing to do with privacy.

Their ad code has to load, as does the site code. There must be a conflict of sorts. Gav is looking into it.

I think it is related to a new ad network we are trialling, who are injecting a script into the chat room setup. It seems there's an unexpected conflict.

Having been asked by many very loyal members of our community, to offer a Lifetime Membership option, we have now added it to the membership upgrade page.

It is essentially the same as Gold Membership, but will never expire. If you plan on sticking around as a gold member for the long haul, it will actually work out a more economic option.

It's being looked into.

An example of what should happen:

Join as a Silver Member: 1 January 2016 (expires 31 December 2016).

If you upgrade to a Gold Membership at any time of the year, you should be made Gold immediately, a year gets added to the end date of the existing subscription, and the new expiry should be 31 December 2017.

It will be resolved shortly. Please bear with.

The database thinks you signed up on the 28th June. There might be some conflict between when messages are sent out, not tying up with subscription end dates. Gav is investigating.

This was probably our hardest competition to date. We do like to set challenges for our authors, it keeps things interesting! icon_smile

There were some excellent stories, and the Top 10 were all of a high standard. Not a great deal separated the winning entries. Our judges commented that this was a really tough one to judge.
