If it's simply a few minor edits, I don't see the problem.

You will need to message Gav with your changes, as the stories are programmatically locked.
All awarded.

Thank you for organising this John, and to all those who took part.
Drawing inspiration from the Gothic genre, this competition will focus on architecture, romance, horror, and something that is dark and thrilling.

Competition Theme

The gothic genre feeds on a pleasing sort of terror. The setting of your story is important. The buildings and scenery harbour secrets, and provide a dark and sensual backdrop for the story.

Examples of Gothic fiction, are Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, the works of Edgar Allan Poe and Bram Stoker’s Dracula.

Stories should be dark, thrilling and sensual. They can either be set in the historical "Gothic" period, or you are welcome to take a modern day slant to the theme.

The stories must have an overriding "Gothic" feel to them.

Stories must be between 7,000-8,000 words in length.

Dates and details can be found here.

That's very generous of you Jonatahan.

It just proves that whatever personal marketing you are doing, is working. =d>
Thank you Hera.

That's pretty much it. The Vault is closed off to paying members only, so if you are getting low view counts on stories you contribute to the cause, then it's indicative of how many members actually upgrade.

You are free to move your story to the public side of the site, any time you wish, if it's story views you are primarily interested in.
For his tireless work in the chat rooms, dealing with members' queries, and his creative contributions in the forums, I am delighted to give this month's award to SimplyJohn. It's his second time on the podium.

Thank you for everything you do around the site John

Indomita, Gran Reserva, Carmenere 2013 Maipo Valley.

It's been one of those days.
He was one of my favourite creative artists of all time.

Rest in Peace Prince.
As per Gav's post, he has coded a function so you can block an individual member's forum posts.

We are no longer entertaining messages such as, "Mystical Pharaoh keeps giving me butthurt in the forums, please do something about him."

It takes up a huge amount of admin time, and I personally find it childish and irritating, particularly on a site which is "Adult Swim".

If someone is constantly annoying you, block them. End of story.

Thank you.
Interesting suggestions, thank you Rumple. I'll give them some thought.

Why not reveal the identity of PJS and YMA - that might get you a few more UK followers

I saw him live in Sydney, when he did a NYE gig on the beach at Bondi. It was an awesome night.

The competition results are always announced around 7-10 days after the competitions have closed off. That allows the judges enough time, to read all the shortlisted entries. The deadline and announcement dates, are always shown when the competition is ongoing.

The results will be published this weekend, after the judges have deliberated
I have the great pleasure in giving this month's award to one of the loveliest people you could wish to meet online.

As a newbie to the moderating team, she's hit the ground running, being in the Top 5 story verifiers for the month of March. It wasn't much of a surprise to the team, she's been with the site over 5 years, and is an accomplished author.

Please check your inbox in the next day or so, CurvyGalore.

Congratulations, and thank you for your hard work helping authors get their work published here, in a prompt and professional manner
You have to fill out all the sections with an asterisk on the first submission page.

The "Note to Moderators" isn't live technical support. It's a box to say things like, "I have submitted several chapters of the same story all at once, please verify them in order."

So, your story will not have been saved because that doesn't happen until you are past the first submission screen. The second page, will then give you an option to save the draft, or to press "publish".

I hope the site mechanics are a little clearer now.

Always, always, always, save a copy of your story on your computer, before uploading it here, or anywhere for that matter. Servers will often time out on a page or try and refresh themselves, and you'll lose everything. It happens on all sites.
I think it's great they are allowing you to travel again, after the last time...
