That has no bearing on GMT, that's a standard time it's not always UK time. We are GMT in the winter and BST in summer.

Yes, and BST is simply GMT +1. What's your point?
Quote by simplyjohn

Fine so when we change here for BST (30th March) it will still be one hour out. And that doesnt explain the GMT-7 on the profile 'Latest Forum Posts' surely.

Pacific time is currently GMT -7. This forum probably comes of the box set on West Coast time

I've never encountered an uncut cock, but I'm definitely open to the idea.
I've heard that cut cocks are cleaner, and that uncut cocks are associated with higher risks of UTI's. I don't like UTI's.
But, due to my lack of experience, I would say that the most intelligent answer is I don't know.

Do you think your eye would be cleaner and less likely to get infected if you didn't have an eyelid?

The foreskin is actually there to protect from infection. Sadly the only exception to this is the biggest STI of all HIV which hijacks the defence systems to its advantage. This is leading to an increase in circumcision in Africa which is having results in slowing down the spread of the disease.

Test2 lol.

This was your previous post ...

edit - OK I set my profile thingey to GMT-2 and now the posts show the correct time. On my profile however in latest forum posts it says 03:21 so GMT-7.

Sorry .. brain cells have left me this morning .. so confuddled. I am sure someone else will solve this one again.

The issue probably arises from the difference between European daylight saving and US daylight saving. In the US it started last week while in Europe it happens next week, so for a couple of weeks a year London is only 4 hours ahead of New York. You'll have to change it back on Sunday week
I find it fascinating that the actions of vampires (from Dracula onwards, anyway), which were meant to be a metaphor for sex (tall dark mysterious man seduces innocent girl - there's penetration and blood) are now seen as a kink in themselves. I'm sure there a plenty of other examples of fetishes born from similar metaphors

Good luck with the story. Just try not to make it thinly veiled True Blood fangfic

P.S. You might want to remove the image of Richard Gere in your profile image gallery, claiming it's you. Even in jest, I don't think his lawyers are going to think it's funny.

It's not the one with the gerbil, is it?

Everyone seems happy with timelines, but the issue seems to be with scoring, the loss of anonymity and it's knock-on effects.

How about, not showing scores until at least 5 are in? You can see if someone scored you, but you wouldn't know who had awarded what. This retains the anonymity of scores, and as no scores are initially shown, maybe there's less incentive to "jump on a bandwagon" - be that a positive or negative one.

That's actually less likely to be effective: when a story gets published you get a slew of 5s off your friends all at once - anything lower than a 5 is usually lost amongst them. When scores start coming in at less than one a day then it's much easier to work out who "3-bombed" you.

This idea would also hit new writers or those who don't engage in the social aspects of this site - most of whom don't get five or more scores on their stories.
Ok, I've lived with it for a week but I can't get on with it. I have to say, I preferred it how it was.
There's nothing wrong with a slow beginning if the purpose of it is to build intrigue. If all you're doing is padding it out before the inevitable action starts then your stories are going to be about as exciting as waiting for a bus.

There's a huge choice of stories on here and people have limited time - you're in a buyers' market. Successful authors on here know this and they write their stories accordingly
I rarely do - it's one of the most pointless and divisive aspects of the site.

I would like to see the "block friend" tab moved. It sits below "0n line message" and I have lost count of how many friends I block by mistake.

I access the site using an iPad and unless I zoom in, very often the block tab gets hit!

It would be great if there was a more responsive version of the Lush CSS that could handle tablets and smartphones. The mobile version is fine if all you want to do is read stories but there's really no reason why this site can't work as well on a tablet as it does on a laptop.

unsemantic.com produce a good responsive framework - or you could go for adapt.js if you don't want to head down the SASS route
If you've changed your settings so that it won't show if you've scored a story on Friends Activity then I'd hope that would mean that fact is also hidden from the Timelines - if not, then it should.

The flipside of that setting, along with the setting that hides the stories you've commented on means that I often miss stories enjoyed by friends whose opinions on stories I usually share. I really can't see the point of hiding the fact that you commented on stories - for me it runs against the spirit of the site.

Generally, I think people need to put a face to something...just for a visual representation. Your avatar is readily available, so that's what they associate with you from a visual aspect when they talk to you. I find myself doing this even when the avatar isn't an actual person and is just a cartoon or a funny picture or an animal or something.

I think this is the crux of the issue. We just can't help trying to piece together who it is we're talking to and so, as usual, without the full details our subconscious and over-active imaginations fill in the blanks to what we'd like to believe is true. It's like how I imagine women on lush are always lying on king size beds with nothing but a loosely slung cotton sheet to protect their modesty, when I know that 9/10 are on the sofa wearing sweat pants and a misshapen tigger tshirt with pizza stains on it.

I guess the argument always goes back to the same issue on Lush: fantasy v fraud. We all bend reality to some extent with our online personae - whether by omission or just by basic lying. I must say though that it worries me slightly, that even now people still need to be warned that in reality, people aren't always who they appear to be online. For me, that's like someone saying at the end of a film "it's ok, it's only pretend".
In the example you use "I was sat..." I can pretty much guarantee that a gerund or the past-participle of another verb is going to turn up pretty quickly, probably the next word - and it's more than likely going to be the most important verb of the sentence. In this case it's going to be something like - thinking, looking, discussing, wanking. For me "We were sat discussing... " is far more elegant than "We were sitting discussing..."
Nice to see the Help options back up again on the top bar.

If I was to cast a critical eye though, I'd say that at first glance I get the impression that focus has more slightly further away from stories - which I know isn't true, it's just that's how it looks to me. If you're just looking at the menu bar it can appear simply to be a forum and chat site.

The settings icon should be for settings only and something you shouldn't need to click on that often - Timeline and Friends Activity don't really belong there.

Now there's more room on the bar maybe a "Stories" drop-down can be added with options such as the existing "My stories" and "Reading queue" together with other options like "Followed authors", "Story guidelines", "Favourites" and more. This might have the added bonus of increasing the feel of inclusiveness for the many authors that don't participate in chat or the forums.

EDIT: Maybe a further consideration could be the combining of the Search drop-down and the Search Stories input box. Much like the search box on Firefox which allows you to either select , Google, wikipedia etc the Lush search box could allow author and user searches (and maybe forum searches) too
There's no trick to it, you just need to practice - a lot - until it becomes easy. That brick wall you're hitting is actually a rut you've found yourself comfortably slipping into. Experimenting with other writing styles will help you get out of it.

You'll find, with practice, that you already have the skills to write in third person - it's almost impossible to write in first person without them (unless you have no other characters in your stories!)

Cheers xx I was pretty sure but you know how it is. Someone actually asks the question and all of a sudden you're second guessing yourself!
Well I guess if you've ever got some kind of sexual satisfaction from this site then it would suggest that this is a porn site.

As a site it's really what you make it to be - if you're a gold member you can turn off all the adverts (which do make this place look like a porn site). Anyone can also block out certain story categories - you can have it so that can only ever see love stories and love poems (I can only imagine how horrific that would be). The truth is, there's always an x-rated vibe here. People will behave here in a way they definitely wouldn't on a more mainstream social network

The people directly above me are quite clear this isn't a porn site but I'm going to take a wild stab in the dark here and guess that angiegirl's facebook picture isn't her holding her tits. Ardentmale's wallpaper on his profile is a close up of some cock jammed half way up a cunt (it's in black and white though so I guess that's erotic). Even the lovely Kiera has two images posted on her comments of people indulging in oral sex. Please don't think that I'm saying there's anything wrong with this. There's not but we have to face facts that a casual observer is going to think that this is - if not a porn site per se - then very much porn related.

There's always a level of subjectiveness that separates the erotic from the pornographic. There is some incredibly well written erotica on this site - there's also a lot of fuck-fiction here. Stories entitled something like "Fucking my 18 year old neighbour and her Mom" are likely to be more readily viewed as the latter rather than the former irrespective of their actual content.

Because of my build, it can be a challenge sometimes getting the right fit. More so for shirts and jackets. Most shirts and jackets that fit my chest, shoulders and arms, simply have too much extra fabric around the waist. Most larger shirts and jackets are designed for guys who need the extra size for bellies. I don't HAVE one of those.

Find yourself a local seamstress or dress-maker. I usually find that unless I buy slim-fit (or shop somewhere like Ted Baker where a slimmer fit is standard) anything that fits across my shoulders and the length of my arms will look like a tent around my waist. For just a few quid, someone with a little skill and a sewing machine can quickly take in this excess material turning a £30 shirt into something that looks a lot more like an £80 shirt.

Finding a good needle worker isn't as hard as it sounds - suburbia is full of home-makers of a certain age who love their craft. In my experience, a nice cup of tea and a slice of cake comes with the service too.

does this mean these two "friends" of mine, don't care at all for me and only found a "scapegoat" to get "rid" of me?

Ie. example- believing others over me?

Yes it's suspicious.

Can you edit your post or mods, can you edit that please?

Who's called anyone out?

I can't say much .I can but don't I should. Would rather have the mods find out for sure.

I'm still completely brokenhearted , feels this is a never-ending nighmare.

eh?

This whole thing sounds really suspicious.

So, just how well do you know thesexynun?
If someone got hold of one of your private chats the source is far more likely to be the person you were chatting with rather than someone who has supposedly "hacked" your account.

It sounds to me as if you've been played by someone with multiple accounts.
