In my most recent story, I don't even give my main character a name. All you know of her is that she's a woman, she wears heels and she visits an art gallery - anything else about her does nothing to tell the story (what story there is). A reader will already have some kind of image in their head of what she looks like - why should I change that? She could be black, she could be blonde, it won't make a difference to what happens or enrich the story.
If I'm writing first person I'll drip feed information about the other characters to the reader, in the same way you'd notice things about someone as you get to know them. I did this with the girl in Unreserved Seating. Interestingly, I don't describe the narrator at all though and I did toy with idea of adding a twist at the end by revealing the narrator is a woman - but I don't think it needed it.
Of course remember though that you're writing for your pleasure so do what makes you happy.
Ok I'll let you into a secret, just promise not to tell anyone.
You know those nights when a woman doesn't want sex, she just wants a cuddle - you know, when she's on the blob. A guy will quite happily let her fall asleep with his arm under her. About half an hour after she's fallen asleep his arm will feel completely dead. He can then use his numb hand to wank himself off so that it feels like someone else is doing it.
True story.
Call me picky, Liz, but the pic you've used for Sean is from Never Say Never Again - a non-Eon film ;) #pedant
Sean was brilliant but Diamonds Are Forever was the worst film up until Die Another Day
George was hopeless, his only saving grace was he knew how to have a fight with the stuntmen and he happened to be in probably the best film of the lot
Roger was the first I saw at the cinema. Yes he wasn't exactly an action hero but who else could have delivered a line like "Courage is no match for an unfriendly shoe, Countess"
Tim was brilliant and should have made more, both of his films are very watchable
Pierce got to the franchise more than a decade after he should have done, Goldeneye was great but the rest got progressively worse.
Daniel, along with Tim, is the only other proper actor to play Bond. His Bond is far removed from Fleming's vision but then this is the 21st century
I'll have to go with the original - Bob Holness
Another way to remember is the difference between who and whom is the same as the difference between he and him
You'd say "he is shopping" not "him is shopping".
From your outline it would seem to me that the eroticism comes from his internal struggle rather than any relationships he has.
The characters you introduce should be as throwaway as his attitude to sex.
You already have two leading characters: what he is and what he wants to be. The conflict between them could be a powerful source of eroticism.
Just a suggestion of course. Look forward to seeing what you've come up with
Once you're at the stage of her bra coming off there's not a lot that's going to "break the deal".
If it was your decision to lose weight then well done on your progress, but you really must try to stop yourself from transferring one body anxiety to another. Don't lose all the confidence and self-belief you've gained from feeling more comfortable about weight and replace it with the thought that men won't like your boobs.
Certainly don't judge your boobs against impossible images in magazines or against those well-upholstered ones you see everyday - you know as well as any woman that the correct, well-fitting bra will make up for any number of so-called imperfections
The only time I've been irked by a verifiers edit was when one of them changed the proper spelling of "travelling" to the US corruption that is "traveling".
I'm more than aware that this is my problem, not theirs.
I've never thought of a woman as sexy because she had tattoos, however i've certainly been turned off by some designs on women
Looks like I have an extra post here.
Nothing to see here. Move along.
Sight is probably the least important sense when it comes to sex. Reducing visual stimulus can heighten the other, more important senses.
Sex shops sell a lot more blindfolds than they do ear plugs
I think you need to join the far queue
