we saw onward, which is brilliant. i think it was the last time you could actually go to a movie theater - it was opening weekend and there were like 6 other people in there - pretty much most major film releases are being rescheduled to later in the year right now.

i just sent the short list to Nicola, so the judging should be starting up today - we usually have about 5 days to do so, so results should be in by friday? just a guess. again, like with the last one, there were way too many amazing stories - it got to the point where i had close to 20 stories that belonged in the top 10 - it's heartbreaking to cut them out, too, but it's just how it is - hopefully people won't be disappointed. after the results are in, i will do a call out to those who should have been in there with some RRs.

Given that writers get perks for buying a gold or higher membership (going to the top of the queue being the biggie), I wonder if that's a good idea or not. Kind of turns that around. Instead of using membership perks as a carrot to get writers to sign on the dotted line, you're using the membership discount as a carrot to get more people writing. Interesting idea. Just not sure how the economics work vs. the current setup. And, really, I'm not sure this site is hurting for writers. I heard they ended up with >60 stories in the comp?
