i have plenty of empathy. never said i didn't. i just order my values differently. in my experience, looting and vandalizing arn't an everyday occurrence. in fact, it's very rare and all too often it's more about the perpetration of hate crimes. yep, people still don't like the gays, blacks, jews, hispanics, asians, muslims, or women. Most of the women i work with fall under at least one of those catagories, I fall under two, My wife falls under three. most of my friends/co-workers fall under at least one. most of them are more concerned about violence against themselves than they are about people busting windows. not that people should be doing that shit, but hey, priorities,
what i deal with - domestic violence - happens every single fucking day. apx 20 people in the US are abused every single fucking minute by an intimate partner. i am pretty sure that the stuff you are so outraged by doesn't happen nearly that often.
you want to change the world, get upset about that instead. hell, donate or volunteer at your nearest shelter. for the record, a lot of my expenses come out of my own pocket. funding is crap. maybe write to Mr Aldean and ask him to donate too. i mean, he could probably use the tax break right now after buying his dream mansion down in Florida.
