Today we're using Post Alley Dark Roast coffee from Seattle's Best ("Smoky and intense" – certainly better than StarSucks coffee!), so take it or leave it.
actually, i'm Seattle's best, and yes, i am smoky and intense.

1 ... you only go to the sunroom (you live in Seattle so the weather's always inclement) if lush goes down!!
Seek help!! Pronto!!
2 ... who knows about England, but we have taco Tuesday's down under ... I'm sure there's a joke in that:
C/f At Vandal, (in Sydney) we’re not big on traditional sit down meals, all our food can - and should - be inhaled in one hand with a margarita in the other.
We never want to define ourselves in a way that puts us in a corner, ever-evolving and free to experiment with our food - some people say we’ve ‘vandalised’ mexican food - they’re probably right - but to those naysayers we say ‘f*ck em’, we cook what we want - how we want - no rules, just fun with flavours.
oh, we’re one hundred plant-based and we kick ass - if we don’t want to pillage the earth of its natural resources and kill innocent animals in the process - that’s our prerogative right ?!?
Every Tuesday we offer $4 tacos and $15 margaritas from 5pm till late.
We offer 2 hour seating times - either early (5pm through 6:15pm start time) or late (8pm onwards).
The Taco Tuesday Taco Deal ($4 tacos) is only for tables up to 5 people, as groups of 6 or more people are required to go on our set menu, however 6+ groups can still get $15 Margaritas all night long ...
I think you'd like this place Rach though its a little far for Ubereats
think i know where i'm eating if i ever make it to Aus - sounds perfect. actually, actually, i usually do my computer time in the sunroom to, but it's less fun then doing other stuff. and we actually get sun sometimes. not often, but sometimes!
when lush goes down i get to take a breather. it's nice. i go outside or, if the weather is inclement, into my sunroom (yes, i seriously have a sunroom - i spend a LOT of time there) and read a book or write or something creative. imo lush should go down more often. too bad the IT peep are so damn fucking on it. le sigh. btw, curious - does England do taco tuesdays? i expect an aswer, por favor. pronto.

Been there, done that, you'll never look at E=mc2 in the same way again: I present a story that wasn't too shabby in the time travel competition:
And by the way, soon isn't, how shall I put this, Rachel: the world's most precise answer.
i am many things. precise ain't one of them ![]()

I really hope we get audio attachments back some day, Sprite. How cool would it be if you read your story aloud to us with your music playing in the background? I really hope it happens some day. 😊
yeah, well, you're not the only one who has mentioned that. not sure if that will happen or, if it does, when. every once in a while i poke someone about it but it doesn't seem to be a priority, so... we'll see? not the answer anyone wants but it's the only one i gots.
So... i mentioned i do music and may have threatened to post some of it that i was doing for my space girl story, so...
story can be found here for those interested: https://www.lushstories.com/stories/fantasy-sci-fi/the-adventures-of-space-girl-episode-one-escape-from-planet-earth
So... if you're having sex with someone? you usually know their name. it's usually pretty intimate, so addressing them by name every time you say something is kind of... not necessary.
here's an example of what not to do.
"I want to fuck you Lily."
"I want you to fuck me too, Fred."
"I'm gonna stuff my cock in your pussy, Lily."
"Omg, that feels so good, Fred."
"You like that, Lily?"
"I like it, Fred."
"I'm going to cum, Lily.:
"Cum for me, Fred. I want to feel your hot sperm in my pussy."
"I'm cumming, Lily."
"Me too, Fred."
i mean, do you talk like this when you're actually fucking someone?
Just more helpful advice. ![]()
so... post that has nothing to do with writing. used to be a music studio conjured up images of a huge room with all sorts of mixers and tape machines and all mics and all that. today's music studios are a wide variety of beasts. i spent yesterday in one. 9 to 4. a friend wrote some music and asked me to write words. he also said that he'd get me started on recording my own stuff. so... yes, it was fun, but damn, respect to musicians. it was also exhausting. by 4 i was like, i'm too f'ing tired to even think. that all said, great experience. i got to play guitar a bunch - sadly, not at 11. and today, i wake up and i did good in the comp, which, after bugging Jen about, i forget the results were going to be out yesterday lol so, good morning to all ya'll. going to the museum to look at art with Kate today, one of our fav past times. ![]()

Obviously some think men are shallow pools of hormonal driven urges with no other thoughts but to rut with whatever comes their way. Well…my throbbing cock drives into your dripping cunt as I contemplate a double meat cheeseburger…mmmm this burger is really juicy….
that's why they are so much fun to write
well... fuck. i was not, in all honesty, expecting this. (i actually liked Dronette's a lot and was hoping it would win). i don't know what to say other than thank you and that i have fun doing these - i think that's the real win- being pushed to write something a little different and challenging yourself. for the record, i will NOT be spending my ill-gotten gains on sex toys or panties, so Buz can just keep quiet here lol seriously, just woke up to this and a bit flabbergasted.
as threatened, i posted a new story (there, not here). https://www.storiesspace.com/stories/fantasy/monstersikatrina been a rough week so far, but writing helps. mostly just got too much on my plate. also, trying to keep up with Jame's Bear and Girl stories. he's posting them faster than i can read, though, so it's kind of a losing game lol other things to report - best Oscar ceremony in ages - not only that, but most of the wins matched our hopeful list. in other words, they got it right this year.

With the passing of Kitearies, Lush has lost a gentle man, friend, confidante and lover of the written word. His kindness and humor showed his spirit despite the challenges he faced. His passing is a reminder that none of us know our tomorrow, and that we should live in abundance today. To touch those we love, with our words, our feelings and our fingers. May he rest in peace, and may that peace, be shared amongst those who loved him, each in their own special way
truly sad news. 134 published stories and poems and a pleasure to work with. he will be sorely missed. as always, unless the member himself requests we pull his profile and/or stories, they will remain up for all to enjoy in the future.

So I haven't just been sitting on my duff back here. Nika and I have the latest chapter in her history approved and ready to be read. It's a very different part of her life – there's NO SEX if you can believe that! But I found it compelling, even as I worked on the words.
As always, Nika is a surprise, and a person I am proud to call my friend.
Find it here: A Deadlier Woman
raises an eyebrow and you're gonna submit it where...?

Agree, Sprite. I was excited to see the RR pop up on it too. Very well done.
I think Steampunk would be a great comp theme sometime. It's not often done here.
addendum - just looked up the Punk genres... there are quite a few. steam, cyber, atom, bio, diesel... check it out if you're interested - be fun to write in some of them
https://www.alibris.com/blog/an-introduction-to-punk-genres-in-speculative-fiction/
ok, since i'm here - stories in the work. Still need to finish the latest alice chapter - it's all about time these days - i am a busy girl - work takes up a lot of time and energy these days, plus i'm getting lazy - also, i am working on music - sadly, Lush is difficult to post audio on, but i'm working on that for those interested in listening
other things in the work - i have a new chapter of Space Girl started and a new series for the other place that we're not supposed to refer to as the blue site called Monsters - a very different take on all the classic monsters - the first chapter will be Frankenstein and i have a Phantom of the Opera story in my head. Annie's new story reminds me that i need to get back to Butterfly Beach too... and i have a short story as written by Summer - so sort of a new Summer story - in the works. she IS a writer after all. that's about it. for now. in between i am trying to get some sleep in too...
