in honor of Violet, i have just written my first WAM story. at least my version of a WAM story. in the que waiting to be passed. ![]()

i am on vacation/holiday this coming week. kate mentioned i looked tired. i'm like, dude. you think? we were going to put up the tree yesterday and decorate it. got it up and then i sat down and fell asleep. sitting up. i think she might be right. going to try again today. wish us luck!
on another note, i promised El Henke I'd write some more Alice stories for him - apparently, he's run out, so i'm half way through the next one - and, with time off, i might get a couple more in - this one has a guest appearance by a couple of characters that anyone having read Lewis Carrol will recognize. just think 'oysters' and you'll get it. and it gets into a bit of WAM territory, which is new to me. after that? no idea. i never do. i just sit down and start writing and things happen, at least with the Alice stories. hope you're all doing fine. who's still in the world cup? i'm refusing to watch this year - Qattar has a terrible rep for human rights, so fuck 'em.
ok, i have tried to be nice. fuck that shit. IF you are submitting a story that is 300-500 words long and it doesn't contain ANY sex and/or eroticism and it ends with 'TO BE CONTINUED' it WILL be sent back. i don't give a fuck if you're a gold member, a platinum member, or George RR Fucking Martin. it's not going on the front page. Finish the damn thing and THEN submit it. This is your last warning, mofos. I have HAD it with each and every one of you. (that goes for you too, Jaymal - I know where you live. Prick.).
Sprite.
just an aside. we help with tday meals at a homeless center every year. this year i'm also doing it at the center where i work. was asked if it was weird doing up turkey when you're a veggie today. simple answer? not unless you eat it too. also, i won't actually do any of the preparing of the bird. pototoes and veggies, yes, but not the bird itself - got to draw the line somewhere!
somebody get me writing again. i had it going and now...? ugh. my brain. lol like E, weird day. listening to the gentleman who stopped the shooter just... beautiful and sad. going to be a while before things are back to normal here, if ever, so i can only imagine what it's like for those in Colorado Springs. setting you up with a beer and a bong hit, E. love flowing out.
AND i see i have a lot of reading to do. congrats on getting the thing done, Susie. that, in itself, deserves a prize. ![]()
bye, got anyone not aware, today is a national day of remembrance for Trans folk who's lives were taken through violence. today has added significance. For me, today is a day to remember Gwen Araujo. age 17. Beaten and left to bleed to death on a couch at a party by 4 men. the "crime"? being trans. ![]()

i'm not arguing. i've been told we're in a war. i didn't start the goddamned thing but i seem to be told that i'm presumptively on the wrong side because i'm male and white. is anybody interested in what's right, or are we just all looking for a fight?
no one in here, to my knowledge, is looking for a fight. no one has ever made the claim that one is simply on the 'wrong side' because of their gender or color. i do know that a bunch of people were just murdered because of who they love and that the rest of us in the lgbtq community have been feeling more and more like targets the last few years with all the anti-gay legislation and rhetoric coming from the GOP. and no, it's not just males. Idaho's governor is female and she's one of the worst of the lot quite frankly. sadly, CO, as a whole, tends to be very pro-lgbtq so having this happen there is quite sad on a lot of levels. of course, CO also has M.Green as a rep, so it shows that they're not perfect.
what i would like to say is, please, don't make this into a pissing match. don't get defensive. a lot of us are hurting. a lot of us are scared. a lot of us need to know that people have our backs. that they're not just going to stand down and watch as our rights and lives are taken from us. it's happening. those of us paying attention know this. we just ask that you open your eyes and your hearts and stand up for what's right. simple as that.

Rachel, I'm in. I'm there.
Canadians like to think we are immune from such destructive horseshit, but we're not. The tide of hate is rising everywhere, and whether you are trans, LGBTQ+, Jewish, Muslim, a woman, or some other group that is not white male and Protestant, you are a target – or will be.
All of us who are not white, male, racist bigots need to stand together. And I say that as a straight, white, male Christian.

"First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me."

we are so tired of doing it on our own while others sit back and get on with their lives because it doesn't affect them. just so fucking tired. i'm sitting here wondering if this is going to be the domino that starts off a string of shootings. what's the next target? there are a LOT of events centered around Trans Day of Remembrance today. not too hard to find a target. have our lives been reduced to 'i just hope i get through the day alive?' sounds dramatic? it's not. to a lot of lgbtq+ folk, that has become reality. i would really like to not be attending any funerals during the holidays.
last night, shortly before midnight, a gunman entered Club Q, an lgbtq nightclub in Colorado Springs. He murdered 5 people. 18 more were wounded. He survivied. Today is TDoR - Trans day of remembrance. my heart is broken. in other states people - politicians, for god's sake (i'm looking at you, Idaho) call for the execution of lgtbq folk. through no fault of our own we are being thrust into a war. a while back i applied for a CC license. I got one. i never bought a gun. that was never the intent. just to see how easy it would be for someone like me to get one. today we are going gun shopping. this is what we have become. i am angry and sad and scared for myself and the people i love. for all the pitfalls of the democratic party that people are more than happy to point out, this is not their doing. this rests solely on the GOP.
i hate to make it political, but it IS political. republicans created laws aimed solely at the LGBTQ community. fostering hate and bigotry and prejudice. at some point there's a breaking point. this is mine. not looking for prayers or sympathy. it's past that. looking for allies. it's time to choose a side and do whatever you can to end this. think about how you voted in the last election. take a hard look at who you give money to. think of ways to support those who are at risk.
peace and love,
Rachel

in all fairness, we gave the regulars in TTT chance after chance after chance to clean up their act. at some point you decided that they aren't interested. you do know that most of them have never revisited the site once we closed it down? also, there were about 6 or 7 accounts that were being run by 2-3 different people. so yeah, not really interested in opening up the door and inviting them back in to sow disinformation and everything that goes with it again.

Just one thread total! Not one per topic. Allow people to respond to each other. Little to no moderation. Let the floors be covered in blood.
and the pages covered in hate speech, bigotry, and trolls? so, that's what you want to see when you come to Lush? Not a lot of great people and hot stories?

I cannot join any group that would have me as a member.
Though I do think there should be one thread, like the Rage Cage, devoted to politics, and only have the barest of moderation. Kind of a political free-for-all.
we had that. it was called the Think Tank (RIP).

Now that I have people's attention. lol I don't venture out in public much these days. occasionally i pop my head in here, that's about it, mostly because i like everyone else who does (even James). So...

Go take a look. you don't have to post, you don't have to comment, just look. you're not being judged or anything, but support and love are always appreciated. thanks.
I'm a little late. my apologies. This week (Nov 13-19m 2022) is Trans Awareness week. Sunday, Nov 20 is Transgender Day of Remembrance.
Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) is an annual observance on November 20 that honors the memory of the transgender people whose lives were lost in acts of anti-transgender violence. Gwendolyn Ann Smith, TDOR founder, said “TDOR seeks to highlight the losses we face due to anti-transgender bigotry and violence. I am no stranger to the need to fight for our rights, and the right to simply exist is first and foremost. With so many seeking to erase transgender people—sometimes in the most brutal ways possible—it is vitally important that those we lose are remembered, and that we continue to fight for justice.”
Feel safe and free to post in here. Love you all.
