I have coffee!!!
My Christmas food delivery arrived and thankfully I received it allAnyone in the UK who relies on food being delivered will know the hassle that is online Christmas food shopping. It's hard enough to get a slot, but even by booking your food 2 months in advance, you're not guaranteed to receive it and it's pot luck on the day. One of my missing parcels also turned up today so that was also a win. I feel like today has been a success.
Also, heartwarming news that the Sikh community near to me were absolutely amazing and made 800 hot meals for the truckers stranded, after the border closure.

Actually pubic hair does serve three purposes:
• reducing friction during sex
• preventing bacteria and other microorganisms from transmitting to others
• maintaining the optimal temperature for the genitalia

Evening all. Next round's on my tab. Perhaps our fine barkeep can rustle up some hot chocolate and peppermint schnapps. I always seem to get here after the cookies are gone. I'd like to start a petition to move Xmas to February when we could really use a great holiday from winter. Speaking of winter, that's about the only period when I actually have time to write. Who knows, I might even get something in for the Comp. Being a nice Canadian boy it will be difficult to come up with anything debaucherous. May help if I spend more time here.
I miss browncoffee.

Just another tidbit ... I think more important than whether a story is kept together or broken into pieces is a catchy title! Especially for new authors wanting to be noticed and read. You are vying for attention amidst a slew of stories published around you. I promise you a catchy or super hot title will help bring readers to your story.

'A woman has ten claws,'
Sang the drunken boatswain;
Farther than Betelgeuse,
More brilliant than Orion
Or the planets Venus and Mars,
The star flames on the ocean;
'A woman has ten claws,'
Sang the drunken boatswain.
He obviously should have gone with tequila instead of filthy rum -- or maybe he likes it that way...

* Star sign -- I looked all over Amazon and I didn't see any of these for sale. Can I use a constellation instead? I kinda have a thing for the Pleiades, especially laying out in the garden on a warm night with the Santa Ana winds gusting...

No, the evoked potentials are my next lot of tests. Again, by myself because of covid.
Looks like that's a few of us for drinks... ?

Just my 2 cents but I won't read a story that gets up to 7, 8, 9 thousand words or more. I'd rather read a story that 3-4 thousand words and then read a sequel if I like it. I can always stop reading a series (like Sprite said) and I do.

I have a question I'd like to get some advice on.
The demented tale I have for the comp is way over length even with trimming so thought I'd ask a question here.
So far at 8k words and not done so is it better to run it as a single long story or chop it into installments and run it as a series.
I've only 1 verified submission so wanted to hear is it harder to get a series verified instead or a single story?

Ahhhh, phew. That does make sense, she works so very hard and deserves a rest.
Thank you Liz.

It's also on Prime so yeah, it's on my list. And yes, I have the CD on my iPod. Sometimes I think it's a joke album though.

Update: I finally made it out of bed.
Also I keep thinking about Sue Sylvester for some reason. I wonder if that means I should watch Glee today.
