Rachel, exactly how did you acquire such an intimate knowledge of this pastime?

the well being of all is a top priority for me - girls, guys, cats, dogs, tentacle monsters...

All the actors you'll recognize, gave top notch performances. It's a standard story, told with Ritchie-esque twists and dialogue. There's humor within, not as much as in Snatch, but I'd say that this movie will be well remembered and enjoyed.

It's got Asian criminals, Russian criminals, British criminals, caucasian scumbags, a cocky American prick, a foxy brunette business proprietor, plenty of double-crossing and the slickest looking BMW automobile you'll see on film in 2020.

cool. putting it on my to watch list then. birds of prey, too, which we were gonna see in the theater and then the covid hit silly

Can I borrow 40 bucks?

you want $40, you gotta earn it the old fashioned way. ;)
watched All Cheerleaders Die with Nessa yesterday. not really a fan of horror movies and that kind of thing and, you know, sounded like a pretty cheesy movies, so i didn't have high expectations, but you know what? it was fun and totally enjoyable and actually pretty good. smile

hope you all are doing well. so tired of this, but it is what it is. and, since it seems to be a musical day...

Yes please lol. Or at least everyone who posted before our glorious leader cleared it up.

but i just got here... oh, wait.. you mean Nicki... nevermind!
now that i have the badges, the badges be mine. try to take away my badges over my cold dead body, bitches!

I loved it. Not as good as Lock stock or Snatch though.

Just a warning.... they use the word "cunt" a lot.

I know that has triggered you in the past.

i'm perfectly fine with the word "cunt". i use it a lot. just like many other words, tho, it's all in how it's used. when it's used in a hateful or demeaning way, sure i'm not a fan. as for being triggered, no, not really. that suggests that it's emotionally upsetting to me. it's not. that doesn't mean i'm not going to call someone out for using it, though. smile

and yeah, Lock stock and smoking barrel and snatch were brilliant. Brad Pitt's accent deserved an award by itself. Rocknrolla was also very good, although not quite on par.

Thanks Sprite. I really am not trying to stir up the fires here. Just a humble suggestion.

nope. obviously you're aching to be punished. i'll go get my paddle. smile

I have Sprite. Their complaint really should be a complaint, at least in my opinion. Once you earn a badge meeting the qualifications in place at the time you earned it, you should keep it. Plain and simple. It would be like changing the famous story numbers from 30,000 to 100,000 stories. If the Lush leadership decided such a change is needed and would be appropriate, I would think it would only be fair to exisiting badge holders to keep it while putting in place the new standards for new badges. I have no doubt that Gav, if choose to do so, could write the program to ensue that link between badge requirements and badge awards apply only to badges pending. Once the badge is posted to the writer, there could be and should be no further link.

that's Nicki's call, not mine - i KNOW! I don't make ALL the decisions here, but it's true. that said, i've bumped her on this thread, tho she won't see it until tomorrow - damn time zones.
Quote by Meagananne1986

The omnium and prolific writer badge holders didn't get them by not writing! I would suspect they would lapping at the opportunity to write another story!

obviously you haven't read the site suggestion thread lately...

how was it? so want to see it - i love Guy Richie's earlier work - crazy over the top stuff. smile

With Vikings set to end this year after the 6th season, they just announced that there will be spin off series titled Vikings:Valhalla.

The new series will jump about 100 years and focus on figures with more concrete historical facts. It will cover people like Leif Erickson, Harold Hardrada, and William the Conqueror. I'm guessing that it will show the events of 1066 from the Viking and Norman perspectives.

I, for one, would love to see the Battle of Stamford Bridge depicted on screen.

i loved this series, and yeah, totally on board for the spin off - curious to see, after the events of the mid season finale, how they wrap it up, though...
the omni badge people are gonna send you hate mail, you know. lol other than that , let's see what kind of response this gets and maybe we'll talk about it. smile

ALL THE MORE REASON to come up with an actual ending! I'll get to season three when it hits Hulu.

Just started Justified. Late to the party, but an excellent show.

I'm done with köffee, but I'll split a quick bowl with Rache.

our latest binge is Zoey's extraordinary playlist. it's brilliant, tho it reels you in by being fun and quirky and then gets darker as it goes, but it's a must watch. it's on hulu, too.

Good to have you back, Carl!

Ah, Mondays. Work has slowed, at least. I just made my youngest do her homework (from me, nor school): write 5 sentences about someone's smile, and use at least one simile. I make her write 5 sentences a day.

Had an excellent lazy weekend with LJ. FINALLY finished Killing Eve season two and felt a bit ripped off by the cliffhanger. At least ATTEMPT an ending.

I will admit the stay-in-place thing is getting to me. I work from home so I didn't get too bothered at the beginning. But I need a real date, out of the house, dinner and a play, or at least a movie.

I should be writing THE END on a new ghost story today or tomorrow. Still needs a gob of editing.

One last cup of coffee, please.

season 3 has already started, you know. and they ended it like that cause they didn't know if they were getting renewed at the time they shot it.
happy mother's day to all you mothers, be you the mother of people or pets.
the whole covid thing... it's gone on a long time, longer for some than others, still continuing for some, while others are seeing an easing of restrictions. it's stressful, it's hard. some of us are doing ok. we're staying healthy, we're getting by financially, we are managing and finding ways to cope. on of the cool things i have been seeing is people coming together. being kind, treating others with kindness...

yesterday, we went shopping, and took out a little extra cash ($40) just to have. somewhere between the cash registrar and our car it was dropped, not really sure where or how, but a really lovely gentleman tracked us down as we were putting groceries in the back seat and handed it over. didn't ask for anything, just being a good human being. my comment, when we were driving away was, i love people. and it's true, i do - generally people are awesome, but not always...

a lot of ugly stories are out there, too, and it saddens me, but it also makes me resolve to be one of the beautiful stories, not one of the ugly ones. so yeah, trying hard not to be an asshole, and that is pretty much today's reminder -

Don't be an asshole. we have people from all walks of life here, under all sorts of pressure. nurses, parents, sons and daughters, essential workers, people on furlough or laid off or let go... so yeah, treat each other with kindness and try not to be an asshole, even if you think you are justified. i'm going to do my best (probably should stay out of the think tank, tho, cause sometimes i do admit to crossing that line).

love you all.

You'd need to be careful with the submarine too. They're usually covered in barnacles and loaded with SEaMAN.

EWWWW! nothing worse than stray seamen getting in my hair.
Quote by curvygalore

I've read the Flashman books yonks ago Rumps and they are fun.

they were made into a series a while back starring Sean Bean, who my wife was crushing on a while back, so i've seen them, tho not read them. smile

I can always introduce you to some of my brethren of the deep. Do you prefer octopus or maybe I can release the kraken.

dude, i'm so not a size queen, i mean really, the submarine is WAY to big to use as a dildo and it's not nearly as big as the kraken!
tentacles. yes, i know it's an obsession, and i know i should probably talk to my therapist about it, but i'm just being real here.

I love Missionary because that's the closest skin to skin contact while in deep stare.
Wrapping myself around him and inviting him fully in.
And those kisses, those damn kisses.

this is actually, kind of beautiful. smile
on a happier (hopefully) note, a new chapter in the adventures of Alice has just been submitted for vetting and should be up soon. The Tea Party. staring the mad, yet charming, Hatter, his friend The Hare, and that lovable side kick the Dormouse.

oh, and yeah, there's sex in this one. and tea.
