I propose Lush introduces a new 'Comment Collector' badge. One of the competition entries is now past 80 comments and WELL DONE πŸ‘

I agree, too. I feel the ability to earn different LushStories badges is a big plus for this site. 😊 I always thought there should be a lot more badges than there are.

As some of you already know, I will read, like (unless it is, IMO, really poor), every competition entry. A few (who I think might be contenders) will even get a favourite box ticked. I have done this for the last 3 competitions.

I do it for two reasons.

One. To help encourage new authors who might only get a few likes and comments as they might get overlooked.

Two. To help myself improve as a writer. Reading different styles of writing and story ideas fuels my own.

Okay... there is a third one. Just for fun, I have my own private list of winners. πŸ™„πŸ˜œπŸ€£

First draft done at 1050 words. Those last 50 words to cut ain't gonna come easily.

I have just completed my first draft, and it came in at 937 words. 😊

However, after I edit it, I am sure it will be well north of 1,000 words! 🀣🀣

Just set in the holiday period is fine, although, personally, the more fairy lights the better.

On reading this, I have just upped my story fairy light count from a thousand to ten thousand! 😜

For the last 35 years, both my wife and I have been active naturists/nudists, though more fair-weather ones these days.

I am interested in having a go at this at some point in the future. However, I have a question.

Can you submit an audio file for an old story already up on the site?

Or does it have to be a new one that just gone for moderation?

Introduce the title of your story: The Two M's
Genre/Category:

The Two M's - Part 1 Of 4

1. What first inspired you to write this particular story?

I was posting my 99th story on Lush Stories, and as I did so, it occurred to me that I should write something more popular for my 100th story. Though I had written stories in 33 genres, I had not written one in either of the two most popular genres, and I chose In.ce.st Fantasy as it seems to be the most popular story genre here. I should add that it is a genre I never really considered before or read anything in, but hay-ho, I thought I would give it a go.

2. How did you come up with these characters?

For me, characters are easy to come up with. Finding a photo that matches a character is the hardest part, in my opinion. So now I find a photo(s) and then write the story character around it. I believe that is a good tip for new authors here.

As for coming up with the characters, they just form in my head. Kevin was inspired by an instance from my youthβ€”a shy, geeky guy who had a huge cock. The others I just wrote a few lines on before I started writing.

3. How does it differ from some of your other stories?

I have written four, soon to be five, novels here. For the main characters, I have written full bios for them. Even the secondary characters have at least one A-4 written about them. At the moment I have 29 recurring characters in the novels, and I only need to look at their bio to make sure I know their height, eye colour, job, etc.

4. What was the most challenging thing about writing this piece?

Don't laugh, but to write sex scenes. There are some authors here who are excellent at it; I am more of a work in progress, though I should add that my stories are nearly always character-based, not action-packed sex stories. I try to entice the reader into understanding or even loving a character, often with a bit of humour before the sex. For me, the story always comes first, and good erotica is a good story with hot sex, not just hot sex.

5. Anything else you want to tell us about it?

I have helped authors in the past with stories, mainly ideas to make stories work, though I did also do some proofreading, which I also found slightly amusing as my spelling and grammar were bad, though a lot better now. My first foray into writing has been here on Lush Stories; I never tried to write publically before, and hopefully, I might help inspire others to give it a go.

I'm amused. I think the mods got worn out reading all those 10k word stories last go round. LOL

I don't know about the mods, but I'm still recovering from writing a 10,000 word story! 😊

I like the theme for this competition, just hoping I have time to write something worthy. πŸ™„πŸ˜œ

It just depends who is available. There will be days where noone has time to devote to moderating, so we can't really work to a timetable.

Thank you for coming back on my question, it is appreciated. I was thinking it could be done via software, like a holding cell, the software dropping the new story out at the appropriate time interval. It is just another of my "silly" ideas. πŸ™„πŸ˜Ž

This is slightly off-topic, but it's close. I notice that sometimes it feels like new stories are raining here, appearing every few seconds, and other times, there is a day or two of drought when no new stories appear.

Question: Has any thought ever been given to feeding new stories onto the site at more regular intervals?

The reason I bring this up is (especially for new authors) that having your story on the first page for a while could help it gain traction with readers seeing it. This is just my opinion; I accept others may not agree. πŸ™„πŸ˜Š

Congratulations to the winners and to all those who took part. 😊

I would like to thank the moderators too, 3000 is a lot of stories... 😊

I type in the word I'm overusing and the word "synonym" into Google. You'll get a hundred other possibilities. Yeah, it's lazy, but the goal is the best possible story, right?

This is exactly what I do after using the Word thesaurus. However, it is essential to read the story afterwards to make sure you have not changed the meaning of what you are trying to say. That is very easy to do. πŸ™„

Updated: 18th Nov. Well, unless there is an eleventh-hour entry, I make it that there are 42 (now 44) excellent entries to the "Whodunnit" story competition, and yes, I can say they are excellent entries as I have read, commented on, and liked them all. A few even had me clicking on that favourite star. 😊

When the "Whodunnit" competition was announced, I honestly thought that 30 entries would be the top number, as I thought it was a tough theme. So, in my opinion, to get to 42 shows, there must be quite a few authors here, not only with deviant and naughty minds but ones who are also quite adept at plotting a crime! πŸ™„πŸ˜ˆ

So good luck to those who entered, and very good luck to the judges!

If you are not quite ready to give up reading about crimes yet, then why not have a read of my story? It is slightly different in as much as I am asking you, the reader, to solve the crime. The Baskerville Hall Murder (Whodunnit)

I am not saying it is any good. I am just saying. Why not have a go at solving the crime? Just like it says on the cover, before the story disappears into the bowels of the LushStory Archive?

34 stories in so far and almost a week to go.. still a few regulars missing - can we get odds on a raunchy last minute entry with an Aussie slant and colloquial wordplay?

The quality in this one is really good.. It's taking me a while to get through them.. must be over 200K words all in so far.

If I remember correctly, in the last competition, hers was an eleventh-hour entry.

Smug face onβ€”I have read and commented on them allβ€”smug face offβ€”and I think the standard of the submitted stories is extremely high in this particular competition. 😊

I also hadn't expected there to be more than 30 entries.

I believe a good cover image helps capture a potential new reader to at least try out your story. They don't make the story itself any better, but they and the title words are the first thing the reader sees.

I have written a standalone story based on a photo I have found on the internet. My story "Shadows" is a good example of this. I saw the photo and then came up with the story.

I would normally use the word girl, especially if it is used in a personal context.

I would look to use "lady/ladies" in a more formal setting, especially if it is to impress.

I would use women in more general settings.

In the 3 examples given, I would first consider using a girl before reviewing the context for other options.

Partly to keep this thread alive and partly to give an update if there is anyone interested. I have now written stories in 33 of the 58 genres (there are 4 more stories in new genres in my draft folder). So, I am well on my way to gaining an Omnium badge in late 2025. 😊

BTW: I made an Excel spreadsheet to keep track.

With my comp entry done and published and my 99th story about to be sent for moderation, I am turning my attention to my 100th story. My first story was published exactly two years ago. I feel that for my 100th story, it needs to be a standalone, something different, and in a new genre... but I'm still deciding on which one! 😊

Thank you for running this, Kimmi, and congratulations to the winners, and also to all those who entered. 😊

I guess it is within the rules, but with a little time this morning, I slightly revised my entry on page one. It now reads a little better. I even gave it a title! 😊

The mods rock! worship worship

I agree, and over the two years I have been writing here, I have had more help than most. worship worship

Also because search engines hoover up anything that is published, regardless of context, and spit results back to people who search for those words (usually in combination with other sex terms that we do want to be indexed). Since we don't want to be associated with such content, banning the words is the best way to achieve that goal.

Without wanting to hijack this thread, it does raise the question: is there a readily available list of band words that writers (and moderators) can refer to?

Quote by TheShyThespian

I don't tend to do well with longer stories, but here's hoping my entry will be published sometime today - it was returned to me in the middle of the night because I'd used a word I didn't know I wasn't supposed to use - oops! Back in the queue now, and fingers crossed...

So, with 'Fabian's Folly' I offer something with a historical element, and a character with just a little bit of sass.

Hope you enjoy (assuming it gets published).

I look forward to reading your story, TheShyThespian. I am a little surprised there is an actual banned word here on this adult site, as I thought it would be all about context. However, I can guess what it is, and it is not a word I would ever want to use in any of my stories.

Well, I just sent my entry in for moderation, which I hope is a little different. As soon as it is published (assuming it is good enough), I will be reading and commenting on the other entries. 😊

Where on the forum ?

If you're asking where to post your 70-word entry, then just post it here as a forum post (there are a few already here).

Halloween Recruitment (Now revised) 😊

Ghouls crawl; ghosts hover; the graveyard gates creak open.

It is Halloween, the essence of the dead, now alive and released.

On the park bench, young lovers.

His tongue brushes her nipple; his cock aches for release.

She screams; sexual ecstasy!

No, it’s a ghostly apparition.

Grabbed, the ghoul, the graveyard calling.

The squeaky gates close behind them!

Young lovers pulled to the underworld.

Two recruits for next year’s Halloween.

We Need To Talk About Grammerly.

Question 1. Why doesn't it work ? (FYI I'm writing and it isn't working now...) I do have a free account.

Question 2. Do you have to pay for it now? It worked for a few seconds when I pasted my competition entry into the submission box, ready to edit. The 'G' icon was there but after a few edits I got : "You are signed out of Grammerly" - no I wasn't.

Question 3. What am I doing wrong?

The free version of Grammarly is working fine for me at the moment over here in the UK.
