Background on Mike and Sally
Mike and Sally have known each other since they were five years old. That was when Mike moved into the rural community where Sally also lived. Sally and her mom lived with her grandmother just down the road from Mike. Since both her mother and grandmother worked, they would bring Sally to Mike’s home during the day. Mike and Sally became very good friends.
They attended elementary school together and rode the school bus to and from school. They always sat together and Mike got brave and started holding her hand. They sat together in church and everyone thought they looked cute together.
In second grade Mike proposed to Sally and she accepted. They did not see how they would ever not be together. But fate had other plans, as the summer after third grade, Mike’s Dad took a job in another city, in another state. The day Mike moved he took Sally around to the back of his house and kissed her goodbye. They both pledged themselves to each other and promised to stay in touch.
They wrote each other weekly but after about six months Mike got involved in sports in his new community and did not make time to write. Sally also got distracted and did not write either, so it was eight and a half years before they saw each other again.
It happened when Mike’s Dad was invited to speak at a gathering at Sally’s church and Mike’s family went along. Mike was going up the stairs when Sally was coming down and they almost knocked each other down. They ate together and talked together the entire time catching up on each other’s lives. Everyone there was whispering about how it looked like they just fit perfectly together.
Mike was just amazed at how different Sally looked, yet she looked the same as he remembered her. Sally was now five feet ten with black hair to her ass. Mike estimated she had C cup breasts and an ass that just made him hard. He later got brave and asked her measurements.
“Thirty-six, twenty-four, thirty-six. Do you like what you see?”
“Oh, yes, I think you are very beautiful. I can definitely say you have grown up very nicely,” Mike blushed and they both laughed.
The next day after Mike got home from school, he read an article in the paper about the football team at Sally’s school and knew some of the players mentioned. He wanted to go see them play and decided to call Sally to see if she would go with him. She agreed and they had their first date together, this was the fall of their senior year in high school.
Everything went so well that Mark decided to see what would happen in this long-distant relationship. You see, Mike lived on the north side of the city that was not close to Sally.
“Sally, I really had a good time tonight and I would like to see you again. Do you agree or does our distance apart make you think it will not work?”
“No, Mike, I agree I want to see where this goes. I must state that the distance does make me concerned, but if we work hard at it, we can make it work.” With that said, she leaned in and kissed him passionately.
When they parted, Mike smiled at her and kissed her again. Sally left the car about thirty minutes later and watched Mike drive off.
When she entered the house, her mom was waiting for her and asked how it went.
“I had a good time. Mike is such a gentleman and the guys were very surprised to see him there with me. I think they all thought he still lived out of state and they would not see him again.”
“I am glad it went well, sweetheart. What happens from here?”
“We just talked about that and do want to see each other again and will just have to work at it to make it work since we are so far apart. I do think I could fall in love with him. It felt so right to be with him again. Just like it was planned from above.”
Both giggled at this and then went to bed.
When Mike got home, he talked a little with his dad and went to bed. All day he could not quit thinking about Sally and how sexy she looked the night before. He felt really special with her on his arm and could not miss all the looks they got. He wondered if Sally had ever gone to a game with a guy or just her girlfriends. ‘I need to ask her the next time we are together,' he thought.
Mike could not take it any longer and had to talk to her, so went to his room, to call her and talk to Sally in private. It was a long-distance call and Mike’s parents had set a time limit for the call, even though they were only about forty-five minutes apart, so they did not stay on the line very long.
“Sally, I do need to ask you something.”
“Ok, ask away.”
“I could not help but see the stares we were getting from some of your friends Friday night. Have you never gone to a game on a date with someone before?”
“Actually, no I have not. See I don’t get asked out a lot so they had to be surprised to see us together. Also, remember, some of them knew you and remembered how close we were before. They asked about it at school on Monday and wondered when we reconnected. I had to tell them about the Sunday before being the first we had talked. They are very happy you are back, as I am too.”
“I am glad we are back together as I have really missed you. I am sorry for how we fell out of contact and I did not try to contact you when we came back. I was told by Jack that you were seeing someone, the one time we came to the picnic, so I just stayed away.”
“Jack? That jerk I was not and have not seen anyone. He was just pulling your leg as he did all of the time before.”
Jack was a long-time friend of both Mike and Sally who was a couple of years older than them and always the prankster. Mike found out years later that the reason Jack lied was that he wanted Sally for himself.
They laughed and then Mike said, “Please tell him I said thank you and then punch him for me.”
“I will do that. I need to finish my homework and get some sleep. Thank you for calling me as I was not sure if I would talk to you again.”
“I am glad you are happy about this and I promise this will not be our last time talking.”
They kissed over the phone and hung up. Mike finished his homework and went to bed.
Mike and Sally talked often and Mike went to Sally’s home on Sundays so they had time together. Sally was into music and drama at school and Mike was an athlete at his school, so their schedules were very crazy. Sally came to watch Mike play basketball often and Mike went to watch her perform when he could.
They decided to go to the same college so they would not part. Their love was growing and Mike knew Sally was going to be his wife and before they graduated from college.
At the Freshman Orientation is when this story actually begins and that is where the next chapter will pick up.
