A Night Call

A Night Call

Because it is in the quiet
The darkest hour
The night
When sleep holds no lure
My body calls for you
Even the moon gives no comfort
The stars no hope

This ache stretches
From arm to arm
Top to bottom
I toss and turn
And touch
Too hot for comfort
In need of your cover

To make myself come
Is a heartless tease
Leaving me wanting you
Self love fails
As the demon of memory

Even my own breasts
Betray me
With their swell
The soothing of my hands
It is not enough
My skin is like fire
I cannot close my thighs

My center pulsates
Calls out
In a language
Only you can understand
I am the victim of your tongue
Sending out sounds
Not of distress
But of longing

This is a night call
A message
Of deep breathing and sighs
I cannot control my vocal chords
Or say my own name
Only “Please”

My scent must be
In the wind
You respond
Before the completion
Of the first ring
Voice thick and low
A growl
“Hold on, I am almost there.”
