Dear God, is it too much to ask for companionship in this life
As I walk this path of loneliness you dealt for me, as you watch from above
Someone to hold my hand, to kiss my lips, to smile and assure me compassion
To show me the meaning of love, with every beat of my heart that flutters amongst butterflies within

With your own hands, you created this imperfection of monstrosity I see everyday in the mirror
Eyes that stare back, hiding pain and fear amongst the insecurity of hope
Sitting amongst the grainy sands of time, as the water swallows me up from around me

So I slip this note in a bottle, and toss it as far into the ocean wide as I can see
In the hope one day it reaches you God, and you hear my words

For my hope is dimming fast, and you are my last voice of reason in this world of perfection all around me
