When we're this close in bed,

to the thundering inside of my chest, 
you would see beyond cold shores and cloud banks 
and understand the storms raging,
the calculating sweep shredding lonely harbors.

When we're this close in bed,

to the echoes trying to overtake my voice, 
that your love courses through to sing 
I am more than enough for you.

I will listen closely to the thunder booming 
inside of your chest and soothe
the storms looming behind cloud banks, 
shaking your every lonely shore, 
my hand will enfold yours and I will stay with you 
no matter what violence sweeps through these harbors.

We will breathe in one another 
and make memory upon memory together 
with the ferocity of an embrace 
that no echo or storm can ever break.
