Monday morning, Cali drove over to Jarel's apartment at 10:00 am. She spent some time reviewing her Uni accounting notes to refresh her memory on the issues she had seen with the accounts Jarel had shown her. She collected the boxes of receipts, sat at the dining table, and sorted them into three piles.
Some of the receipts were in the wrong boxes. No wonder, she thought, Jarel's brother wanted him to get someone to sort out the accounts before they went to him. His brother would have to get one of his juniors to go through all this mess, and that would pose a problem if they were to pick up on the illicit cash moved through the businesses.
By the time Jarel turned up at 1:00 pm. She had three piles of receipts. The largest pile was for the tobacconist shops. But not much smaller was a pile for the office tower. And a smaller pile that she needed Jarel to tell her what they were and which pile to put them in.
Jarel was carrying another bag of money. He hugged her and then asked for a moment as he needed to lock the bag away.
When he returned to the lounge, he asked her how she felt.
"I'm alright. Why?"
"I wondered if you felt pregnant? You said Nash and you were going to be at it all weekend, trying to get you knocked up."
"I'm told you really can't feel that sort of thing. Having said that, though, I did feel different on Saturday night, and I have a hunch that I am."
"I'd better leave you alone today, then. Can't go poking around and dislodging your new ankle biter."
"I think that's a fallacy also. But if you don't want me today, that's okay, I can go home with a clear conscience."
After lunch, Jarel collected up all the questionable receipts and said he had to return to work.
"I'll go around all the tobacconists and get you the relevant details from them. But some of these might be for the Harris Towers here. I'll get you to take any of those downstairs and question each company."
"How do I get downstairs?" Cali asked him.
"Good point. I'd better show you." And he directed her to a set of double doors by the lift, which opened up onto a staircase winding down to the apartment's front door on level six.
Jarel explained, "The two lifts in the building stop at the sixth floor. Your garage card will allow you to enter the tower lifts in the main basement garage and exit on any floor. But you will need a key, as well as the card for the apartment's front door, and for these double doors at the top of the stairs. I'll get one cut for you. The sixth level only has one company leasing it. The utility room and the base of the swimming pool occupy the other third of level 6. But on the five floors below, there are multiple businesses. So these rogue receipts could be for any one of those companies."
They walked to the foot of the stairs, and Jarel pushed the door into the utility room open. One wall had all the electronics for his apartment. Straight ahead, gym equipment had been set up in front of two large picture windows looking out towards Long Beach in the distance. There were boxes and equipment stacked wherever free space. The wall to the right of the door was the base of the pool. Cali knew this; by the two underwater windows, through which the sun filtered into the utility room, she gave Jarel a dubious look.
Jarel chuckled, "I've always dreamed of sitting down here and watching naked women swimming in the pool. But to date, that has never happened. Maybe your friends would like to come skinny dip here sometime. You and I could sit down here and spy on them."
Cali didn't bother to answer that. But she did ask if they were still going to have a video conference with his brother.
"No, I spoke with him over the weekend. Billie and Noah are coming to LA on Thursday. They want to meet you. Billie will need your signatures on some papers, and Noah needs to talk with you. He says you will need work experience before you take the Uniform CPA Exam. Also, he says that he and Billie will need to organise a PTIN number so you can work on the tax returns.
Once Jarel left, Cali began cleaning the apartment. After vacuuming half the rooms, she became curious because she hadn't come across the bag of money. She wondered where Jarel had put it. Intrigued, she turned off the vacuum and began to search. Half an hour later, she still hadn't found any locked cupboard or anywhere that might even hide a secret cupboard. She wondered if the bag was down in the Utility room. But it couldn't be, as Jarel had walked towards his bedroom with the bag and gone nowhere near the doors to the stairs.
However, her search revealed a panel in the kitchen that opened into a room appearing to be an office. However, there was no computer or anything else one would expect to find in an office. And she wondered why Jarel didn't use this secret room, and why he had not shown it to her. She finished vacuuming and changed the sheets, then took them to the laundry and did some food shopping.
She was lounging by the pool when Jarel arrived back at 4:00. She asked him about the office she had found off the kitchen.
"Damn, I'd all but forgotten about that. I don't think I've ever been in there. You can use it for doing the accounts. I'll give some money to buy a laptop and any office equipment you need. Get a Mac, because that's what we all use. If you go to Apple Pasadena, you can put it on my account. I'll call ahead and authorise it."
"Why don't you use the office? Surely you need to do this building's accounts here," Cali asked.
Jarel looked like he had let a secret out of the bag, and hesitated before answering her, "I think the architect meant that room to be a maid's kitchen. But I had him set it up as an office. However, there is a panic room off my bedroom. I use that as my office."
He hesitated, "I guess I may as well show you, as you should know where it is, in case of an emergency."
Beckoning her to follow, Jarel led her through his bedroom and into his walk-in wardrobe. He fiddled with the light fixture next to the full-length mirror, and it clicked open, revealing a large room behind the thick door to which the mirror was attached. Her eyes instantly went to the bag that Jarel had carried into the apartment earlier. There were two more bags stacked alongside it on the shelf to the left of the door. The opposite wall had a desk with a computer and screens, etc., mounted above it.
"As I say, this is my panic room. All those monitors above the desk show parts of the house, and the three at the end show views of the garage. If an alarms ever go off while you are in the apartment working, you head for this room and lock yourself in. The phone and power in here are on separate feeds. And the room is fireproof."
"I wish you hadn't shown me this. It makes me realise how much danger I'm exposing myself to by being around you. Also, you may worry about me dipping my hand in one of those bags."
"If you want money. Just ask. Besides, I don't think you'll touch it. You said you didn't want anything to do with drug money."
"And you told me it wasn't all drug money. You said some of it was from tobacco and alcohol?"
Jarel just laughed and said he'd see her on Thursday.
——
Cali didn't tell Nash about doing the accounts for Jarel. She thought he might twig to the fact that she was getting too involved with her boss, and she needed time to figure out how to break it to him softly. Also, she was more than a little pissed with how distracted he'd been lately. He seemed to have abandoned the idea of them having a baby. Every time she brought it up and said she thought they might have succeeded this month, he went quiet, almost looking guilty.
Thursday, she arrived at Jarel's apartment early and began cooking lunch. He'd texted her the day before and asked her to cook lunch, as he was picking his brother and sister up at the airport at 10:30. She didn't mind, as she loved using his kitchen.
Jarel and his two siblings arrived at 12:30, so the flight must have been early. Neither his brother nor his sister looked much like Jarel. Noah was handsome, no more than 6'2" and was dressed casually. In his twin sister, Billie, she could see some resemblance, although she, too, was much more attractive. She was only an inch shorter than Noah. Unlike Noah, she was dressed in a smart trouser suit, looking every part the successful lawyer. Billie immediately took Cali aside and began grilling her.
Jarel and Noah left them be while they talked. Cali answered all Billie's questions and thought she had made a good impression. When finished, Cali served them lunch, after which Noah took her aside. He loaded some accounting software on the laptop she had bought, and then transferred the two companies' accounts onto it. They spent the rest of the afternoon going over everything, and Noah showed her how to use the software and what he required from her.
Around 4:00, Noah announced he was more than impressed with how fast Cali had picked up everything and told Billie to get out the paperwork so Cali could sign. After she finished signing the papers, Jarel asked Cali to call Nash to see if she could stay late, since there was more to discuss after dinner.
Nash seemed only too pleased for her to stay late. And was happy for her that she was going to do some accounting work. For the first time in her marriage, she wondered if he had another woman. He'd seemed so keen for her to go away on the weekend with the girls, and now seemed eager to have the night to himself.
Jarel took them all to dinner at Buca di Beppo in Pasadena. When they returned to the apartment, she went over some more accounts with Noah. At 9:30 pm, Jarel said he'd walk her down to her car. On the way to the lift, he explained that he'd sent her all the details of where they would be staying in Las Vegas, and that after he had dropped Billie and Noah at the airport the next morning, he'd be driving straight there.
"You just show the booking on your phone at reception, and they'll sort you."
"Where?" Cali asked.
"I've booked two penthouse suites at The Venetian Resort."
"But Nicky is meant to be paying for us girls. Her husband will expect to see the transaction on her bank account. Wealthy as they are, I'm not sure she can manage the price of a penthouse on her card."
"No problem, we'll get her a receipt for a suite a few floors down. Now come here, I've been lusting for you all week."
"I haven't got time now. I must get home." Cali complained.
But Jarel didn't listen to her and pushed her back against the lift wall. He moved his hand down over Cali's tummy, lifted her skirt and slipped his fingers under her panties.
"Dam girl, you're already wet. Are you always ready?"
Cali had no chance to answer, as he covered her mouth with his and passionately kissed her. As always, she couldn't help herself and responded. She felt his free hand lift her skirt and press her ass against the cold metal of the lift wall. He slid her panties all the way down, encouraged her to lift each leg to kick them free, and she felt his hardness against her tummy, and was reminded of his size, when his knob nudged under her breasts.
"I like your tits. Get them out so I can tit fuck you." And he helped her unbutton her blouse, eased his cock up under her bra, and squeezed her tits together on his erection.
"I love the way your nipples are always hard for me. You like this, don't you?"
Cali didn't answer, but was stunned at how horny she was, and how hard her nipples had become, betraying her eagerness. He told her to squeeze her tits on him, and, unclipping her bra, he moved a hand back down between her legs.
As his finger separated her lips. He growled, "Spread your legs for me slut."
Cali hated him speaking to her like that, but almost without being conscious of it, her feet moved apart and her legs opened. His filthy words were like a sexual stimulus, a turning on of a switch. She would never allow Nash to say things like that to her. Opening her eyes, she saw the lift door was open, and that he'd thrown his jacket down to stop it from closing. She felt exposed, even though they were unlikely to be seen from the main garage. But being exposed like that was another new revelation for her.
"You're so wet, my beautiful slut. My hand is fucking soaked. We'd better get this over with if you have to get home."
He lifted her, then slid her back down onto his shaft. When he'd ensured he was lined up properly, he drove in deep, with a powerful thrust. And then took some long, hard strokes inside her wet and willing pussy. He was forceful, almost brutal. Cali groaned as he hammered her against the lift's wall.
Overcome by the lustful sensuality of his act and exposed to the empty garage, she felt her orgasm building too fast. Taking a hasty glance into the garage again to ensure no one was near, she cried out, "I'm going to cum. Oh yes, so good, so good. Oh yes. Fuck me. Please do it now. Fuck me,"
Cali had never been a talker. She was always quiet in her sex with Nash, but as she came, she yelled out some raunchy encouragement. Then she buried her head in Jarel's shoulder, as she climaxed.

On her return home, Cali was mortified that Nash would see the state she was in —or, even worse, smell her. She'd parked up in a lay-by on the drive home and tried to clean herself with some wet wipes. But only a good shower would remove the smell of her sins. Luckily, when Cali crept through the door, Nash was already in bed asleep, and no wonder, the clock in the lounge was showing it was almost midnight. She saw him move as she entered the bedroom and called out that she needed a shower because she hadn't had time for one that morning. Nash grunted something that sounded like, Okay.
When she climbed into bed and tried to talk to him, Nash sleepily told her to tell him about her new job in the morning. She lay awake beside him, wondering at his disinterest. Jarel had sparked a fire in her, making her want to try a plethora of new spicy activities. Things she had denied Nash in the past. But he was acting disinterested and didn't even seem to want to make a baby anymore. She knew they needed to talk, but could not find the right words to get a conversation started with him. It was another two hours before she finally fell asleep.
——
Friday morning, Nash was up early. After shaking Cali awake, he asked her to tell him about the new job over breakfast. He didn't seem too concerned about her extending her hours for her new boss. But did bring up the topic of them moving to San Francisco. Cali told Nash that she'd explained their move to her boss and that he'd said they'd face any issues that arose later.
With a hug and a kiss, Nash departed for work. He called out for her, not to do anything he wouldn't do over the weekend. His departing comment made Cali feel guilty, but in the light of what he'd told her about his affairs at University, and the way he'd been acting, she pushed those concerns to the back of her mind.
Once sure that Nash had gone, Cali collected her weekend bag and wandered next door to Pat's. Nicky turned up soon after, and they loaded their bags into her car before hitting the road.
After a few miles, Nicky pulled into a mall and parked outside an adult shop. She turned to them and said that Cali's description of how Jarel got turned on when Cali dressed up as a maid had made her think they should dress up to meet the guys. She explained that this was the store that she and Grayson frequented, and that she'd often wanted to try on some of the costumes displayed there.
Although reluctant at first, Pat and Kelly soon began sorting through naughty lingerie, toys, and costumes. The girls were egging one another on to buy outlandish items. They settled on Air Hostess Uniforms to wear over the crotchless knickers and sheer slips they had draped over their arms. There was some embarrassment when Nicky threw a bottle of lubricant into each of their orders, and the salesgirl remarked that she wished she were going on the dirty weekend with them. Then it was back on the road and up into the hills on the I-15.
They made Baker for lunch, enjoyed a good feed of enchiladas at Los Dos Toritos restaurant, and took a photo in front of the world's tallest thermometer. Then, they hit the road and rolled into Vegas around 3:00 pm.
