Sara’s feet shuffled down the street, belying her mood. It had been a rough day, with her boss breathing down her neck again at the local newspaper. Deadlines, they even ran through her dreams, and his voice, right in her ear, his breath smelling of Doritos, always. She hated Doritos, thanks to him.

Her head hung low, her eyes scanning the tiny cracks in the pavement as she worked her way toward her apartment. It was above a grocer, small but convenient. After all, this was New York City, and she didn’t want to drive much downtown. The traffic and the drivers were both too crazy.

Sara made it somehow to the door on the lower level, the one that led to the inner back stairwell that would take her home. Opening the door, Sara stepped through and watched idly as it closed with a slight shudder, securing itself on its hinges. Suddenly, she felt his presence before he even touched her. She tried to turn around, but before she could her body was pinned against the door, and a hand was placed over her mouth. She resisted the instinctive urge to scream, somehow knowing that it would simply make things worse.

His voice whispered in her ear, urgently, feverishly. “Sara, I need you. I’ve always needed you, and you are now mine. No one can hear you, so just do as I say. Nod if you understand me.” Sara nodded, trying not to shake too badly.

She felt his hand slowly withdraw from her mouth and move along her body, touching her everywhere. He moaned, his mouth coming against her neck, kissing, sucking, biting. Sara could feel his need intensify, and his arms encircled her, pulling her flat against him. His desire pressed against her, and his lips found hers as he turned her face to the side.
