Dragon Ball is turning 40 this year. Whoop-whoop!!!
And this year marks 30 years since it first hit North America. 28 years since it debuted on Toonami.

Holy sheep. I was only 20 when it came out and 30 when it hit this side of the Pacific? Wow.
Never been much of an anime fan, to be honest. Has never clicked with me for some reason. I was a fan of Starblazers, which was the North American edit and English dub of Space Battleship Yamato (or something like that). Entertaining show but in retrospect, the idea of turning a sunken WWII battleship into a space cruiser is a tad weird and not sure it would engage me today. Otherwise, most of my attempts at watching anime and reading manga have bounced off hard. And that goes for hentai, too.

I still haven't finished Shippuden yet. Sigh.

I love anime and manga, preferring supernatural, thrillers and horror but not hentai. Natsume's Book of Friends, xxxholic, Kakuriyo: Bed and Breakfast for Spirits and The Apothecary Diaries are some of my favourites. I do also like manhwa, again thrillers and horrors, but there's more adult ones I've enjoyed like Tears On a Withered Flower.
