Osman... How is this an attack?

These are questions about French films... You don't think it's valid to separate them pre and post 1960 for lists like this?

Why or why not?

I was going to answer the questions too.

I think I've picked on you too much... You think everything is an attack.

Here I finally thought I found another film buff but I guess not.

This thread is literally called the "Lush TV thread."

If you want to discuss French films then you should make a thread discussing the topic.

Everyone on here knows by now that you are my beta bitch. And they know that every time I post, Osman's little beta bitch will come running in his pathetic attempt at attention.

In the future though, please constrain your jealous, child like antics to the think tank.

Look guy, if you really want attention (which is what I assume you want) be your own person and stop clinging to my coat tails. If French films are something that you are into, then own it. You will probably get a lot more attention that way than continuing to portray yourself as the pesky, uneducated pest that apparently has become your bread and butter.

And I do love how your continuously portray yourself as some kind of high school bully. You love to use the words "picked on." If that's what you think you are portraying here, I feel sorry you.

So in the future... please "pick on me" in the Tank.

Although I think the term "pick at" is far more accurate.

Do you agree that Jean-Pierre Melville may be the single greatest influence on modern day cinema?

Why or why not?

Amelie. La Cage aux Follies (the remake with Robin Williams is just as good, maybe even better, btw). The city of Lost children heart. The science of sleep (sorry, i'm bad at sticking to 3). what do i win?

Nothing.

These are all the incorrect films to pick if you are a film scholar like myself.

What about The French Connection then?

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

Philistines. The lot of you.

French Kiss with Meg Ryan, then?

Stumbled across an old one that I never got around too 20 years ago LOL

The Queen's Gambit on Netflix is pretty good.
Mmhhmm, THE QUEEN'S GAMBIT was a great watch.

THE THREE DEATHS OF MARISELA ESCOBEDO
CONEHEADS
28 DAYS
SEVEN SISTERS (WHAT HAPPENED TO MONDAY?)
END OF WATCH
HOW TO FIX A DRUG SCANDAL

All of the above can be found on the US version of Netflix.
i haven't really watched anything recently. i'm looking forward to a world that will allow more seasons of "stranger things" to be made. in early quarantine i watched "future man" and mostly enjoyed it other than when it went off the rails for...roughly the entire second half of the series. after that i watched "brockmire" and enjoyed it until i couldn't take hank's political self-righteousness anymore. since then i'm not sure i've watched any reasonably current series.
I really liked season 1 of Westworld, I think i inflicted cruel and unusual punishment upon myself by watching season 2, then with no regard for my own safety, watched season 3.

They should have just stopped after season 1. Its pretty horrible after that.
Chapter 13 and 14 of the Mandalorian made me jizz in my Star Wars PJs.

I jizzed into my old, very old school Lego Slave 1.

I KNOW! It started out do good, and then got bad so quickly. They felt the need to add a "mythology.'

The Undoing started out strong but then fizzled. Still, Nicole Kidman. Sigh.

Just started The Flight Attendant, and it's Big Fun. Kayley Cuoco is such a likable actress. I think it's difficult to play a character as out of control as she is and remain sympathetic. She does. To be fair, my co-watching companion, who shall remain nameless, said it was "kind of annoying."

The Undoing was disappointing. I really wanted it to be good. It seemed forced. Too bad.

AGREED. The Flight Attendant is fun. It's not great. Kaley does a few too many close up face expression shots, but in a weird way, I'm proud of her. She's a producer on this. I remember her from that John Ritter series, 8 Simple Rules, where she was his teen daughter and Katey Sagal was her mom. She worked on set with some great actors. Sadly, John Ritter and then James Garner, Mr. Rockford Files himself, both passed away. A couple icons.

Dude... what happened to The Americans?

Such an amazing series. Did you drop it?

I started out really liking Undoing. I like both those actors. And I liked the setup. It just didn't really end up going anywhere.

I love those career comedy actresses like Cuoco and Christina Applegate and Julia Louis Dreyfus, who have been comedy so long the timing is just in their bones. Professionals, and good at their jobs.

Yeah, we dropped the Americans after one episode. We may pick it back up.

Also, season 7 of Mom. Really good sit-com, though I doubt we'll keep watching after Anna Faris leaves.
The Crown
The Queen's Gambit
Grace and Frankie
The Chef (El Jefe)

I've also been watching old episodes of West Wing

I've been watching a lot of West Wing too. It leaves Netflix this month so I'm trying to get through the fourth season (again) before it goes.

My wife used to call it "ear candy for liberals."
I've started Jessica Jones , It's pretty good so far, about 1/2 way through season 1

It takes a silly turn, but am disappointed it was cancelled.

Finishing Schitt’s Creek with the family. Have bonded with the characters. Will be sad to see them go. Glad they all won Emmy’s.

Really enjoying Awkwafina in Nora From Queens. Grandma rocks.

The Flight Attendant is fun. One more episode.

Season 1 was fantastic but I have yet to finish season 2. I lost so much interest while watching as it felt like a slog to get through.

Most recent TV watch was season 5 of Brooklyn 99.
