She's the daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus (remember Achy-Breaky Heart?) and former star of the Disney TV series Hannah Montana. And I'm also in the "who cares?" camp. The only concern is that HM earned her a load of young fans and her current veering closer and closer to a Lohan-esque meltdown could disillusion some of them.

I think I do. Not saying I judge her for it...I actually thought it was adorable, and I don't mean that condescendingly. But if I went out with her, and she 'twerked' I'd laugh. Not in a mocking sort of way, but in an "OMG, look at her go!" sort of way.
I guess it's because I know what twerking requires. And while she has the physicality of it down (because face it, ANYONE can twerk), the visual is just thrown off because she does not possess the legendary badonk....and because of this, her twerk involves more back motion than ass motion. A TRUE twerk is just the gyration/manipulation of one's ass cheeks with a little help from the hips for a sultry (arguably) sway. The back is only used as a vehicle to move the body around, but the ass does all the work.
If there's more back moving and less ass manipulation, then you aren't twerking.
Sidenote: I can't believe I seriously typed all of this. Emphasis on the 'seriously'.

Totally disagree. Miley is far from a meltdown. Miley wants to move from child star to adult. While I do not think she is very talented at acting or singing, she is very popular. She knows how to market herself, much like Madonna, who btw is not very talented either.
Miley, much like Madonna likes to push the envelope when it comes to her sexuality. Some of the pics I have seen of her and her dad (some with mom too) even hint at being incestuous.
As for "Twerking", who really cares!!

I agree with this. As far as I can tell, she's not on the brink of some Lohan-esque breakdown. She's trying to distance herself from her Disney beginnings, and is so far fairly successful in doing so.
As for the twerking...people get very proprietary about what qualifies and what doesn't LOL. The twerking argument that I referenced in an earlier post went on through the entire shift, for whatever reason. Call it what you want, but the girl can move; gotta give her that.

I would have been with you on that at the time that she first left HM, but I just don't get a positive vibe from her anymore. She makes the news for her personal life and antics more than she does for her music and on-screen work. If I had a daughter who was going to take a former child star as a role model, I'd point her to Jennifer Lawrence or Natalie Portman. They've had their hiccups but almost all the attention they get is for their work, not their offscreen life.

Making news for her life outside of music or film doesn't mean she is heading for a meltdown. Most celebs make news for something other than their work. I think Miley knows how to play the game. To compare her with LiLo is ludacris.
