Ha! I had all these ideas, and then went in a totally different direction. So it goes. But I can come back again to some of these. The radio show thing is probably the most intriguing to me right now.

Well. It's only been a year and a half, but I've finally (just now) finished a first full draft of "The radio show thing." It's still a bit rough and could use a couple of rounds of revision, but it's mostly there. The story is going to be called The Last Days of Radio - It's about people sitting around listening to the radio, and it's too long for a single submission (13.3K words), so I'll have to break it in two. Look for the first part in the next couple of weeks or so (he says ambitiously), and the second won't be far behind it. But for the time being, it's at a good pausing-point and I'm going to go have a nice long walk (that's with an L not an N) now.

So much for the break, they won't be here, but last night I got two ideas for fanfiction.

Part two of what I'm calling my Wild Initiation series was published last week. In this chapter, the first time sexual encounter for Travis, with saucy minx Jasmine, goes into the stratosphere. He most definitely does have One Helluva First Ride.

The concluding part, Eight Feet Under, is written and I'll push it to the moderation queue probably later in the week, or next week, to give my lovely readers and followers time to catch up [here's part 1: Cover Book Judge Don't if you're completely new to the series]

I'm nearly done with a short crossdressing story based on a real historical figure, leaving just one more to do to achieve omnium. I also had a trawl through the Lush forums yesterday to see if I can find an interesting question for a chapter in my sexual autobiography!

My first, Nicole is in the pipe. I'm working on part 2, I have one called Megan that isn't as much a smut story but a deep dive into how I would feel if the story had really happened. another is a mystery, sorta, and the last a short that is a parody of superheros, not sure if I can get away with the references though

After being very busy publishing five stories in December, accomplishing most of my 2025 writing goals, I haven't since been writing at all (although I'm about to restart work on my MF story Sloe Ride). Instead of writing, I have been thinking about where I want to go from here. For some time I've had a good idea of what I want to get done in time for Pride Month, but beyond that, what are my writing goals for the coming year?

One thing on my mind is how MM fiction is having such a cultural moment and (largely female) audience, So far, I have overwhelmingly written about male bisexuality, and have developed an enthusiastic male following on Lush - but I've also learned how the subject matter does NOT appeal to very many women. I think it will soon be time for me to broaden my base. Based on what I've learned appeals to the MM-enthusiast community, I think I could do a really good job of it.

My other major pondering has been about achieving Prolific and then Omnium. I'm well past the halfway point at 40 genres now, and I think I can achieve Prolific by the end of this year and Omnium by the end of 2027. More specifically I've been thinking about how to eventually take on the Novels genre, and this has finally intersected with my MM-fiction thoughts in a couple of juicy new ideas for story arcs suitable for novel, or at least novella, length.

No lie, I started writing because so many of the top MM stories on another erotica platform (we're talking 2006) were written by women, and I'd read them and think, "I don't talk like that. That's not how men describe each other. That's not how we think," etc. My first story was a test to see if I could beat them in the ratings with characters that behaved in a more familiar manner to me. I…am…[sigh] still trying.

I'm trying to decide which story gets put in Lush moderator purgatory next. Club bathroom quickie? The guy who gets turned on by thunderstorms? The straight bro who tries to fight his fiancée's male best friend and loses the fight and his anal virginity? Everything needs a good edit, and I made shitty covers for all of them (it makes me laugh, leave me alone), but the agony of the wait makes me want to upload one that I don't care about.

I was going to take a break from writing while on vacation. Of course, one day into my trip, an idea hit me.

My Wife’s Birthday Present

I am trying to move away from “just smut” and push myself as an author. I feel like I am getting there.

Now I will take a break. Maybe. 🤣

I'm shifting gears to focus on the pile of mostly-done stories languishing in my Drafts folder. I submitted "Sloe Ride" last night. "How Do They?" is ready to go once that gets published. "Dating Daphne" and "Daphne's Double Date" follow afterward chronologically, and should be ready within a few days. I have also been cleaning up my six-story "Serial Thriller" bate-club/gangbang series, which will go next. "Try Sexual" needs a bit more TLC than the others, but can be ready when all of the above are released.

Whew! That's eleven stories that will be ready one after the other (and take me past the 100-story mark). I will still try to respect the Mods and wait a couple days between publication and submitting the next, as has been suggested.

I've also given more thought to the MM-novel situation I described above. With a minor change in plans, my long-paused It's A Date! series could become a decent three-act, fully-MM novella - with 80% of Act One already published. I think this exercise will make good training wheels for the genre.

To be clear, I have no problem with this phenomenon of women writing male erotica, but if it occasionally verges into the unrealistic in ways that the female audience doesn't put a check on, (1) it can’t possibly be as ludicrous as the bulk of “lesbian” erotica created by and for men, and (2) it is an opportunity for men like you and me to add a male voice and set the record … uh, straight.

Two projects right now plus an ongoing one that may never be complete.

I have a mostly finished story for the IF category. I think it's a bit different from the usual there so I hope it works. Looking good so far, though I had a great idea about messing with the genders and orientations of the protagonists. That would mean a hefty rewrite of the sex, which is about 1/3-1/2 of the story. Might be worth it, though.

Then I have a new story started this morning for a longstanding sf/f idea of mine. However, that's probably SS material. I don't want to waste time on sex when I've got a cool dark fantasy/horror story to tell. Might be chapter 1 of something longer, too. We'll see.

And then there's my longstanding, doomed to never end, female Robinson Crusoe story. I finally got it through my head to pull out reams of back story and add a "chapter 1" or maybe "prologue". That's written. There was just too much exposition happening and "show, don't just tell" was nagging at me. I might need a "chapter 2" as well to deal with some remaining exposition.

I submitted my cross dressing story today, so I just have to do steampunk to have written in every genre in Lush...(unless I've miscalculated, which will be very embarassing!) I'm looking forward to not writing tp genre any more tbh. Omnium has been a bigger slog than I'd thought😅

I've done MM and FF. Twain notwithstanding, imagination and research count for something.

I have a quandry with the first story I mentioned above. I am finding the current ending too straightforward and pat, but any alternative gets weirdly complicated. Otherwise, it's pretty much good to go.

Ha! I'm not as far along as you, but I do at least have story outlines or ideas for every non-IF Genre ... except, you guessed it, Steampunk. Just looked at my notes again ... months ago, in all caps, I wrote "NO FUCKING IDEA YET." I'll get there, though. Just need to take the time to read a few stories and get a feel for it.

Currently penning the final chapter in my and Kimmi's vampire trilogy, Love At First Bite.

It's not your run of the mill Gothic horror fest, so even if it's not your thing, you might enjoy the series so far.

This "female Robinson Crusoe with fantasy elements" thing really has legs now. My attempt to yank out the back story exposition and create "chapters" telling that part of the story is now up to two, and probably headed for three, chapters. I have not even touched the main story in a while. There's still a decision to be made about the fantasy element. What is it? I have two options, both involving her meeting and befriending strange beings. I am keeping things SFW for now. There's mention of her having sex with a man she met, but nothing graphic. Just "and then they made love" type things.

Yes I'm definitely branching out. I'd like to hit every genre. I've hit 4, and if i can get my head around the one rattling around, I'll tick off Supernatural. But for now, concluding the first book of Mandi, Finishing Mira, and TMBA are what I need to do. clean the slate some.

I'm trying to do that as well. Some genres are easier to write than others, admittedly, but I enjoy pushing myself

The first line popped in my head a couple of days ago, and stuck around. It'll be a relatively short (by my standards - roughly 1.5-2K) piece about being the unsuspecting object of someone's anonymous masturbatory fantasy. It might end up being a poem but maybe not. I'll play with it a bit and see what happens - The piece, I mean... The piece of writing. Bunch of goddamned perverts!

Thanks. I just published it as a poem. Turned out okay, I guess. But there's lots of directions you could go from a starting point like that.

As typical, I’ve got a half a dozen stories at various stages of completion. Hoping to get some writing time in today on a few of them, including a gay male story that has taken a whole different turn than I expected. Fingers crossed that I do it justice. 😎

Still totally idea free re. Steampunk, the last genre aI have to do. I might wait to see what the next comp is.
