As typical, I’ve got a half a dozen stories at various stages of completion. Hoping to get some writing time in today on a few of them, including a gay male story that has taken a whole different turn than I expected. Fingers crossed that I do it justice. 😎

Ruined By A Redhead - She told him she would ruin him; she kept her promise

Sunset Grill - Sometimes you find love where you least expect it

All My Love - Real love can last a lifetime and still feel brand new.

Tender Seduction - sometimes the long game pays off.

Still totally idea free re. Steampunk, the last genre aI have to do. I might wait to see what the next comp is.

I literally wrote one today. it's only 700 odd words, but it gets the point across.. just not sure if i want to enter it under true or flash

I have just complete a Novel (not for here) now on sale globaly, for Lush, Just out is further adventuures of Claire and I. I though it was going to be the Last untill sge hijacked me in London so soon you will know how our Jazz night went.

It Was One Room - Until We Invited Him In (Part Two)

By midnight, there were three of us in the room and one condom on the table.

True

Real life got in the way a bit, and we had two attempts at penning the finale to Love At First Bite, but Kimmi and I are done with the series and happy with it.

Part 3 is in the queue and will be out whenever a mod can spare some time. Don't believe the word counter: it's less than 5k words.

In the meantime, if you haven't caught up with the vampire action so far, now's a perfect time to make amends. Sexy fangs await...

WannabeWordsmith

Not big, not clever, just determined. Interests Getting better at everything I try. Favorite Books Pretty shallow, really. Hitchhiker's Guide series,...

Finally came up with a Steampunk idea the other day. It won't be set in an alternate timeline like many steampunk stories, but there will be a lot of steam, and steam power. A lot.

I really need to get educated on Steampunk. When it comes time, may I pick your brain?

Having finally finished my gay male story, which has been well received, I’m working on a few other categories as I chase Double Omnium. I have a Steampunk story, an Outdoor story, and a few others started.

Besides those, I another set of chapters for Mac and Grace, a HWH story, and even an additional part to The Office Whore all in various stages of completion.

Now, I just have to find time to finish something. 😉🤪

I have been writing my "Cash in Hand" series since the beginning of July last year. It's been so well-received (see the story comments) that I didn't stop at seven stories, as I originally intended to do. I carried on, but I will be taking a break at twelve stories. A sabbatical. 😊 Move to publishing JJ stories more periodically.

This is to allow me to do three other things.

First to write stories in the two genres that I still need to write in for my omnium badge. BTW: It is three ATM, but "Cash in Hand – 12" is in the TEEN genre, and there are around eighty other possible TEEN stories of mine, all of which currently lurk in the Novel genre.

Secondly, I will be updating my second-oldest novel here, "Bonding". When I say 'updating', I'm adding cover photos and improving the grammar where applicable. Not the storyline. This is similar to what I did last year with my oldest novel. I will move one of them into the TEEN genre as well.

Thirdly, write my seventh "Friends, Lovers or Rivals" novel. If called, "Our Game". The characters from those books, David, Clare, and Sarah, have been telling me it's been nearly a year since I wrote my last story about them. 🙄😈

Well, that's 2026 done, and possibly part of 2027.

18+ Only

Toying with a new idea. Private charter pilot gets a weird passenger to fly to a strange, off the beaten path airfield. Stuff happens. Not entirely sure sure what yet though. The dark fantasy writer in me wants something supernatural but I could also do some kind of weird non-supernatural thing with it, too. Not just "joins the mile high club" in other words, but something a bit more complex and plotty.

It at least got me to do some research on private air charters. Kind of cool. Expensive but not entirely beyond my means.

Whew! This past month was frantic. Published eight stories in thirty days. And my thanks to the moderators for making this possible! Now I'm going to slow down to about three a month.

Just got "Swinging Sixties" submitted to cap off the Sexy Sixties series for the moment. Given the reception, I may resume my tales of liberated sexuality in my sixties ... after I get a bunch of older "younger" stories released out of my drafts folder. I will be in my own sixties soon enough, by which point I kinda want to be done writing a lot about people in their early twenties. But in the near term, I still have some great ideas for Becoming A Man, including an overall climactic finish. In the next installment, Joe is going to get knocked head over heels in "Dating Daphne," an ode to that weightless, helpless, painless feeling of falling in love. It will be my 100th story published here, and I've been working hard to try to make it my best.

My thinking around MM/MLM continues to progress (and what a beautiful take you had on it, techgoddess). While I still want my It's A Date characters to fall in love, I want them to remain gay-leaning bisexual after all, territory I haven’t covered much. Instead, my MLM series with fully gay main characters will be Succumbing to Destiny, with the first chapter, "Succumbing to Temptation," out soon.

Sure! I probably won't get to this story until sometime in 2027, with everything else I have brewing, but yes, absolutely happy to chat about it as it gets closer.

Many thanks! I am really excited that it has been so well-received. I can't thank you enough for your kind words about my story.

Continuing Mira, (Part 2 is next), a new series, Call Me, part one, and the second part of Take My Breath Away

I'm also listening to a lot of 80's stuff, and I can see She-Bop, Remember the Nights, and Head over Heels are all perking away.

An inexperienced college junior has been writing bad erotic fiction about his straight roommate. The roommate finds it and makes our guy edit his writing, line by line. The most fun part has been writing bad erotica as a jumping off point for the two characters.

Oh boy, choices, choices, choices! Now that I’ve got my Sexy Sixties series capped off, for now at least, um … swingingly … and my Dating Daphne magnum opus out there, and my MLM series kicked off with Succumbing to Temptation, I’m trying to decide where to focus my attention next? Notwithstanding that we are overdue for a competition [3/18 edit: not anymore! Pausing everything to work on my Comp entry! ... published 3/21], three compelling projects compete for my attention.

More Daphne stories seem the obvious choice, since I just introduced her character and want to maintain momentum with her, and of the immediate three I have planned. one will be a “very special” tear-jerker. But I also have three very special Matt-focused stories (set in the steamy summer before I meet daphne) to do, which for seasonal reasons I want done by June. Plus, I’m so happy with how Succumbing to Destiny has started, part of me wants to get cracking on that, even though I officially have higher priorities.

One thing’s for sure: I will never run out of ideas!

Wanted a light-hearted campy story to play around with whenever the mood struck me. And a friend sent me a picture of a steampunk bunny girl that got my mind absolutley racing. But the thing about Steampunk is I often think people are rather same/same with their approach. Victorian times and what not.

So I wanted to do something new and fun with it. So, who's down for a Bayou steampunk adventure? First chapter up, second chapter is in the works and will be posted in the next week or two. Then it's going to be a fun world to return to every once in a while and just write something silly and sexy.

I've had a bit of a Lush holiday recently, but the competition may be my cue to jumping back in. Interesting theme!

I have submitted Chapter 2 of my Story - The Forbidden Summer. I'm almost done with Chapter 3 as well.

I have also written 4 additional chapters of my story, Relative Pleasures. But I am not sure when I will publish it here.

I have written a draft of Chapter 2 of the story My Boyfriend's Mother. This is my first foray into the lesbian sex genre.

I have a general concept for the new comp. I'll spend a little while mulling over the details and see if I can fit it all into 3K words (a challenge for me).

Don't believe everything that you read.

I am stumbling through various ideas for the latest story comp. Lots of ideas, but they are feel bigger than the 3K word limit.

In the meantime, I am wrapping up a vampire story I’ve been working on for the past few weeks.

My latest stories:

Public Displays of Affection - A young woman struggle to help her close friends come to terms with her latest relationship.

The Summer Tour - A chance encounter between two strangers draws them into something impulsive.

Unexpected Maintenance - A single woman, a broken appliance, and a very attractive maintenance guy. What could possible go wrong?

Trying to put something together for the latest competition story. Hopefully, soon. Got the broad idea, but specifics are still coming together in my mind. 3000 words can be tight although many of the stories currently entered are shorter.

That's kind of expected given how fast they must have bashed them out.

Also focused on the comp right now. Current draft still took lots of editing. Nothing huge, just lots of sentences and clauses that I found ways to improve. Targeting this weekend but we shall see.

Beyond that, back to my major writing project, which kind of got out of some doldrums before the comp distracted me. I am still thinking novella for this one, which has grown as I fleshed out some back story.

Abandoned my first idea for the competition. "A stunt actors challenge to have sex in/under earth, wind, water and fire" was just too silly!

I've come to embrace how the tight word limits of some of the comps have forced me to focus my writing, seriously considering every single word and thought. What bits are tangentially relevant and might enrich a longer version of the story, but don’t really add more value than they take away from advancing things along?

This one didn't win any honors, but I'm still happy at how much sex and adventure I crammed into just 2000 words with Buff Bluff in Banff. I believe the first draft of that one was more than twice that length. This was when my only Recommended Read so far was a sprawling 9000-word thing, so I did have to retrain myself a bit.

Point is, don't let the word limit deter you. You can tell a fantastic story involving the elements within 3000 words. You can do this!
