Please given the nature of this thread can we focus on the objective and keep it clear of any drama; it would be more than a great shame to drag it down with unfriendly exchanges and posts that are not in the spirit of the thread.
Please… thank you.

Quote by happyidiotThis is why you are one of my dearest friends. A heart if gold! Hugs to you!!!!
Trinket, thank you for a very worthy thread for awareness.
Ladies need to know that while breasts are indeed lovely, it's not the breast that is important rather the woman they are attached to for that is where the true beauty lies. Be courageous and be strong, your breasts do not define you.
So on with the fight to find a cure. This is a battle worth waging.

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

It was a really difficult thing for me to post here. I did it in the hope that I could be a small part of helping to raise money. I've been wanting to take my picture down because it's so uncomfortable a thought for me, but I haven't, in case it means the contributions won't be valid.
But this has gone too far. Can't EVERYBODY just STOP?! Seriously?! My mum fought her cancer and got clear, but other family and best friends are still fighting it, or lost, and really, who gives a fuck? Making points and principles is all fine and I get it, but PLEASE can we draw a line under here and carry on as if nothing is an issue except a fight against cancer that ALL of us have been affected by in some way in the real world? PLEASE?!
That's all I have to say.

A perfect body I do not have,
Scars, bulges, imperfection.
That is me!
What I am outside,
Does not define
Whom I am inside.
Love me
Or hate me,
I remain in your mind.
Take me as I am
Or leave me be,
This body is mine,
These scars,
beautiful scars,
Are MINE.
Living cancer free,
Living free of lies
Living free of ties.
living to be free.

You have no idea what I do with my money in my private life. Unlike you, I am not one to seek attention or accolades for any charity, donation or volunteer work that I have done or do.

I love the pictures above by NymphWriter. Now, since I just posted a medical diagram before, I will let you guess which is me and which is some other beutiful lady.
Or could they both be me? Or both not me?

I also made a $100 donation to BCRF.
For those who know, I'm a prostate cancer survivor. Donating to breast cancer research, to me, is a no brainer. BTW, I do not need to be included in the drawing. I'm doing this because it is the right thing to do.
One last thing : Kudos to all the men and women who are participating in this. Anyone who is negative or reducing the bravery of the loving people to something either sexual or ugly need to look in the mirror and ask themselves one question: Would I be so crass if my grandmother/mother/wife/daughter/granddaughter was fighting breast cancer? If the answer is no, then STFU. If the answer is yes, GTFO. We don't need you here.
EDIT: Attached below is the receipt for my donation.

Just saw my own doctor today for my annual exam--the normal sort all adult women have--and everything came out clear, except for a new pea-sized mass found in the 6 o'clock position deep in my right breast. So going ASAP for more imaging.
Again, the "you should really consider a bilateral prophylactic mastectomy" thing came up. She's backed me and my refusal to comply with the request every time I've been told that I should consider a prophylactic mastectomy/ovariohysterectomy, she said she'd back whatever decision I made no matter the outcome of the imaging/biopsy/whatever of this newly found mass, but she's known me for a solid decade or more, and it's not difficult to discern her worry.
That's the thing about cancer...even if you, personally, are fine with whatever decisions you, the patient, have made for yourself, other people will inevitably judge that decision, judge the outcome, cast blame if it is a bad outcome, blame themselves, etc. Doesn't seem to happen with other diseases, or at least to the extent that it does with cancer.
Anyway, a big thank you to all who have donated.

Maybe we should take a deep breath, pause for a moment, and remember that this is what it's all about. Courage. Living. Beauty. Survival. Love. Winning.
Thank you a_chica, for posting those incredible shots of some very brave, heroic and beautiful ladies.
I'm glad to see that most are trying to help and taking it seriously, even if we do kid a bit.
