I'm not a paying member so I don't think I can. Have been a member for quite awhile. Before payment was needed! Dunno if I would for security reasons anyway plus I work in a place that employs a lot of people. Not sure that I'd want to have my photos posted Around the place. But that's me!!

I don't know of such a thing happening and I seriously doubt that it has. That being said, someone totally can track you down through your photos. It recently happened to a friend of mine on Tumblr (her and her husband would post adult selfies and videos) and while they didn't visit her in person, they sent her a message with her home address and a bunch more personal information. The way she was exposed was through the geotagging on her photos so if you want to keep your identity a secret from strangers, turning off that feature on your phone or camera would be the first step. I believe most modern devices have this quality enabled by default so make sure to conciously disable it to prevent someone from download the pictures and looking at the file details.

Beyond that, unless you have a landmark outside your window or something, I imagine that it's damn near impassible to locate someone through a selfie alone.

Oh, and congrats on the post-count milestone.

I was just using a composite image from faceresearch.org.

However, now I'm using a heavily edited webcam picture. You can (barely) tell that I'm a BBW, but not much else. You can't really recognize me all that well. I prefer that. Shhh

If someone does recognize me, I not only have plausible deniability (at least, if they haven't been in my bedroom, where my recliner, visible in photo, is), I can be all "What is lush? What's on it? Why are you on that site?" evil4

In all seriousness, I'd like to keep my sexuality somewhat private, and that's why I want to not have people who don't know me well to know I'm here. I have three people who know me well enough to recognize my avy and wouldn't judge me for being here (I don't have sex with them, but nonetheless...), but literally dozens of people who can recognize my face. That's all.

I do have an X-rated gallery, but you can't see my face there, and only friends can see it.

I use my own photo, but without showing my face. That would open me up to the possibility of people who may recognize me knowing things about me that I don't want them to know.

I feel it's important for me to represent myself with a reasonable degree of accuracy. You never know when a hookup may become available, and I at least want people to see what body type they're talking to.

Some people have great avatars, but it's not for me. This is mine:

I have, but professionally it isn't a good idea for me. It's a shame that one has to hide due to his or her job but that is life today.

I figure a postage stamp size avatar pic isn't at much risk of being stolen and used by anyone, so I always use a pic of myself, and have on every site I've been on for the past 13 years. In all that time only once has my pic been stolen and I made the site they used it on delete them as a fake. I reverse image search my own pics frequently to make sure they're not appearing anywhere on the net but on my sites. I also reverse image search all you guys' pics too to know who's fake here and who's not.
