Going into the second week that the 2nd chapter of my story has been "being reviewed". The next chapter is waiting to be submitted. The loss of continuity is disappointing. Has it been placed at the back of the queue?

Hi!
If you refer to Phoebe's Big Adventure II, it was submitted on Sept 18. Most TV shows air once a week, and there's no loss of continuity, only greater anticipation.
We will get to it. A little patience, please.

Curiosity is one of those insatiable passions that grow by gratification.

Something I want to share with people is that I used to think story parts needed to be published right away for readers to continue enjoying a series. However, as I've grown wiser (hopefully), I've come to understand a few things:

1. If people are really interested in your story, they will read the next part whenever it is published.

2. Publishing parts too close together can actually be detrimental, as it doesn't give your readers time to catch up. You are likely not the only author they follow, and if you bombard them with too many stories back-to-back, they may become overwhelmed.

3. If people really like to binge stories, they will wait until a few "episodes" are published and read them in one sitting.

It's hard to be patient when you want your story to be published. However, it won't deter members from reading your story once it becomes available. I promise!

All My Love - Real love can last a lifetime and still feel brand new.

I'll Be Home For Christmas - Holly spends Advent preparing for Nick's return.

Good Girl - She’s a badass by day and his Good Girl at night.

His To Use - A Dom and his sub enjoy a session at a hotel.

Why hasn't my comment/complaint about the pace of reviewing been posted here?

I am confused by what you mean. Scroll up, it's there. And Avidly Curious addressed it.

Yes, thanks. I see it now. I find navigating your web site difficult at times. Was it you or me who named me Rooky scribe?

Oops. I meant "I". Don't want to upset the grammarians.

It's a default rank. You can change it by clicking the Sex Stories Forum link near the top of the page, then click More, then click Forum Settings.

Thanks for the response, but I think the rank fits.

Hey, guys! Idk if anyone who needs this post is in the forum or will see this, but!! All categories except flash and micro require a minimum of 1000 words. Literally wait times are hard enough and I’d hate anyone to wait so long just to be told they didn’t write enough. 😣 I try to check for those and return them as soon as possible but save yourself (and us) the time. ❤️

And the poetry categories, I believe.

Yeah I missed the adjective there. Story categories. I’m sure they’d know what I meant, but thanks for catching the few who wouldn’t

The single most striking thing Ive noticed since my return is the massive increase in stories submitted to the site.

When I was modding, a heavy Que might have 30-50 stories and THAT was considered an emergency.

But I've been watching the front page over the last week, and there may be as many as 500 new stories processed and released by the team. They just keep coming in waves.

Just in the last hour or so there were probably 10 or more moved out, and I have a feeling even then, they come in faster than its possible to process them.

Hats off to you guys. That is a hell of a job you all are doing

The Wild Girl anthology need not be read in any order but does take place in the following timeframe

Wild Oats. Part 1&2. -2021. Dani is 16 and sets her sights on her stepfather.

Thanks for the pat on the back. I modded a Baker's Dozen over the past several hours and feel like I barely made a dent. However, I want to express my appreciation to the authors who have voluntarily reduced the frequency of their admissions. It does help us, AND it helps readers have time to enjoy stories from their favorite authors.

That is a good point and I'm probably one of the offenders. It's a tough choice. As I have more time than I ever have to write, I'm creating at a pace I never managed before.

So, what to do? The chances of submissions dropping is unlikely. One thing that has helped me is the ease such programs as the basic free version of Grammarly allows me to edit my dyslexia n a way I never could before. Before I left, I sent every work to Jwren to edit and that took a week by itself.

The result was I was lucky to write more than one a month and had dozens in an unfinished state.

When I returned I had 121 stories published in 10 years of writing. I've produced 15 since I've returned and have another ready to go after my current gets passed

Perhaps I need to follow up on a plan I've long considered and transition to Amazon with a portion of my stories.

I love writing too much to stop, but I also completely understand your point of overloading the team and the front page.

You make a profound point.

The popularity of this site and its success has resulted in this volume. When I first started I submitted at least one story a week. I have deliberately cut down on what I submit. I also am aware that my story will take time to be published

“Patience is a virtue

Search it if you can.

You will find it in a woman

But seldom in a man”.

Not my words honestly! But something we should master and stop haranguing the Moderators.

I wasn’t giving the moderators any trouble. I actually started this with a compliment I made a point of understanding what tech Goddess was talking about

Oh goodness, I don't think I've ever been accused of being profound before, LOL.

I've been guilty of being too prolific with my submissions here in the past. Funny how the longer I am a story mod, the more time I try to wait between submissions. I keep writing stories, but these days, I hold onto them longer, which will work in my favor for times when I don't have time to write. LOL! (Remember when I was releasing episodes of The Office Whore every other day? I think I've only submitted four stories this month.)

One thing I do and have suggested to authors who have an archive of stories is to share links to older stories on their profile page. It helps satisfy those readers who want more from you and who may have missed older works, but it doesn't put any added weight on story mods' shoulders.

Whatever you do, don't stop writing. It's lovely to have you back here!

Milik and I have been friends for a while now. I took his words as a compliment. And I don't at all feel harangued!

But I do appreciate you and other authors who have backed off a bit while we have needed your understanding and grace to get caught up. It truly does help!

thank you, and I appreciate you understanding. I don’t mind waiting a week between stories coming up that was never a problem for me. I’m a little bit confused about how they’re being processed. Whether I should post it early so that it’s ready to go in a week or wait a week to post and then wait another few days for to get processed. That’s a little confusing to me, but I guess I’ll have to work that out. It’s kind of new for me, though cause I’ve never been this far ahead which is a good thing on its own.

I’ve looked into Amazon publishing and I may start writing some other stuff on my off time and post on there. We’ll have to see how it goes.

But thank you for being a friend and understanding where I was coming from

Milk the Red. Apologies. I honestly was not referring to you. I was meaning in general. I hear a lot of things about publishing times and other complaints. You are NOT one of those and I know you do not harangue anybody. The quotation was meant to be humorous and I’ve caused offence 😞

And my apologies to anybody who thought I was being less than polite. And I appreciate Techgoddes for explain explaining some things.

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

This discussion is having the desired effect! I was messaging the Tech Moddess last week about story submissions (and redheads, because, duh) and I am now waiting three days after a story gets published before submitting my next story.

I submitted a story today and then saw that it had been assigned to a mod pretty quickly. My thoughts were, "Ooh, that was faster than I anticipated! ... Or maybe they parked it somewhere to get it out of the queue temporarily because they think I'm submitting too fast. Either way, I'm okay with it." Now that I know assigning a story to a mod is used as a queue management technique, I don't get frustrated when my story is in limbo for a couple of days and then gets released back into the queue. 😄

Afternoon Folks. Not sure if this is the correct place to ask but here goes. Was writing a story in Drafts yesterday, no I'm not submitting it for a while. I had about 300 words saved. I added about anothet 400 later. I save as I go along, I found that out the hard way once. However today the latest 400 words have gone 😞 I'm trying to write today but can't save or Preview my work. Does anyone know if there’s a problem on the site? Thanks.
