2. There are ALOT of pics on here that very obviously don't belong to the person that controls the profile. I work in an adult shop, I buy, sell and watch porn and porn related products for a living. I can't be the only one who has spotted many a porn star in not only the avatars but the gallery images. People are purposely deceiving others into thinking it is them in the pics.
In the avatars I have no problems with who you post pics of, but to continue and add more pics to your gallery and accept comments from people who clearly think its you in the pics, well thats just bullshit. In my opinion.
Deceiving people by adding images that are not your own should be taken as seriously as posting pics with innapropriate content.
And that is my 2c worth and its free! Bargain eh?

Indeed there are many fake pics on lush members' profiles but the core business of this website is erotic stories. I've been on several other adult websites which main focus was amateur pics/vids and they all had a verification process where members could post pics of themselves holding a selfmade sign with the website's name on it to become a verified member. That worked fairly well and gave some extra confidence that the member was really posting her/his own pics/vids.
Since some lush members doubted that hornybunny74 and I would meet IRL we've posted such pics in both our image galleries. Nicola even tried to tempt other members to post similar lush promoting pics but nobody really answered the call.
Besides all that, it can be quite amusing to see the fake pics and the horny comments by sad guys who still take everything at face value

It's already in the language here that each of us are responsible for our own content. If somebody steals images, whether representing them as themselves or not, they are responsible and must be aware of the consequences. If I find out my pics got stolen and are on another site (or this one, for that matter), my choices are to demand that the site remove the images, then to lawyer up if it doesn't happen.
Neither this site nor its volunteer moderators, verifiers, and mediators should be expected to be internet detectives, striving for justice and authenticity on every photo. Besides, where's the line between posting pics one finds sexy, or representative of their vibe or identity in some way, and pretending to be 'that person' in the pic? It's not the sort of thing that's worth parsing through if you're trying to run a site with a lot of traffic. It falls under personal responsibility of the users.
If it's personally offensive to you, develop a good sense for fakes- Painter (the guy that replied to you above) is famous for it- and shun accordingly. Some of us are entertained by how clumsily some attempt to 'become' the people in their posted pics. Is it fair to the person whose images were stolen? Of course not, and it's unfortunate, but until that person discovers it and takes the thief to task, file it under "things that are wrong and should not happen, but inevitably do".

You may not know it, but my avatar is very sexually explicit, I'm writing my erotica.
You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

Whenever you post naked pics of yourself on the internet (or arguably even allow someone to take them of you), you run the risk of them being stolen and distributed on other sites. You may choose to watermark pics, alter or crop them, or black out your face to make them undesirable to people who would steal them. But it's just part of what "might" happen, and people should be aware of the risks involved.
For that reason, if you have explicit pics, keeping them set to "private" on this site is probably a good idea for most women.
As for the fake pics... I think it's up to the individual user to use their own common sense (or run images through ) to figure out how much they want to trust how real they may or may not be. I think some guys want to buy into the fantasy that they are real in the same way that they would call a 976 number and want to believe that they are having phone sex with a hot, horny model.![]()

This is an adult site yet how many people use porn stars as their would be identity. Take this a bit further and understand that their relative images are very likely copyrighted and therefore protected. Earlier someone had said the site can't be responsible. I disagree because it is so obvious who the picture is and so likely that actor or actress hasn't the time to be here those pictures/person should be validated to protect the site from liability issues in Copyright Law. Simply claiming ignorance of the law does not hold. Apparently we aren't all adult and so many do not want to be themselves.

I have a problem with the copyright issue as it is represented here. Being an owner of a picture is fine but that does not make the picture copyrighted. In order for said picture to be copyrighted by said owner that owner must file for the copyright and have it accepted. Additionally, you may want to review the free use portion of US Copyright law as it does come into play. Just a thought...

This is all good advice however, Lush has a copy block in place which prevents pictures from being stolen in the traditional manner. Now, if you attach a picture to an internal message it goes back to the normal view in that it can be stolen. I enjoy this portion of the site's features but it's back to buyer be ware.

Hello.
May we get some clarification on this issue? Are Avatar penis/vagina pics okay? I understand that "sexually explicit" pics are not okay, but that could still be open to some interpretation on the penis/vagina issue.
This link does not seem to go to the answer for this question.
Thanks everyone!![]()
