How would this be any different than using an online dating service? It would beat meeting someone in a nightclub or some other social occasion, where you might find some chemistry but only have a few hours to determine if you wanna get to know them enough to warrant another part of a night or day before boning commences.

@fog43 in my opinion you are absolutely correct. My last two girlfriends I met online. The first one I met on match and we dated and lived together for the better part of five years and I've learned since we broke up that she was not the good girl she portrayed herself to be. She cheated on me with over 100 men and dozens of women. I've been in several open relationships and would have been fine with her acting as she did as long as she was safe and told her I preferred naughty women and would have enjoyed our sex life much more if she'd have just been honest.
Worse yet she was a well paid RN with car and insurance that was paid for yet she was always broke because she insisted on paying the living expenses for her adult children and she was addicted to playing the slot machines. I ended up several hundred thousand dollars short do to that relationship.
Compounding all of the above I had made her my prime beneficiary of my trust and she was an RN and was well aware I was a type 2 diabetic she made sure there were always candy bars, juice and Coca-Cola in the house in large quantities and insisted that medications were useless and I should see only her Drs who believed in only natural medicine. My A1C went from 6.5 to 14.9 in a year plus she was adding what has been determined to be low doses of rat poison to my daily meals. she had convinced me and her "Drs' that I was on the verge of not being competent enough to handle my finances and was likely within a couple of months from getting her hands on my lifes savings. We have had several court cases and of course she counter sued me for the ever popular mental duress route. I've been the victor and she has had each counter suit dismissed but I'll never recoup my monitary losses so I have to just be happy with her spending a little time in jail.
Now the thing about match is it's just far too easy to make ones self amazing on paper and this woman was stunning for a gal in her 50's. And I admit I was very culpable as I had heard there were women and men out there that were truly evil but I suppose I've just been lucky and blessed not to have had anyone of that type in my life. Without a doubt I set myself up to get taken as at the time I owned homes in three different states, a 39' sailboat in Tampa and a citation 1 light jet. No doubt I was just what she was seeking.
Now obviously I'm not nearly as nice a guy as I was then but I met my current significant other on OkCupid which is a site where one needs to answer at least 1000 questions ranging from ones political affiliation, sexual interests, financial situation, what they believe in and so much more. If I'd have had even a percentage of what I learned about my ex as I learned about my my current gf there is no way I would have been taken as badly.
So my point is that at least on lush members will likely have a chance to get to know about each other before meeting.
