I'm somewhat new to the site and I've discovered that I really love writing stories as much as reading them.

What is the best way to promote my stories and build readership?

I create a wall post with a link for each new story, and also post a link in one of the groups I'm in.

What else can I do to pimp myself?

Post about your stories in this forum.

Link your latest story in your sig.

Make interesting, thoughtful comments on others stories which sometimes get reciprocal comments.

Mention stories that are relevant to a thread topic in the thread (RELEVANT being the operative word).

That's just a brainstorm of things I have done.

Friending people can help since friends are often also followers.

Generally speaking, your Lush friends will read your stories. In the many years I've been here I've noticed that like everywhere else, Lush is prone to following fashions - trends that come and go. You can find out what these are by following the competition results and the 'editors picks' list. Also, shorter stories tend to be read more than longer ones, multi-chapter stories are less likely to attract reads. It's a good idea to include a cover image , tags, and posts/updates on your profile page.

Seeker4 and Piquet have given you some good advice. I would say, just keep writing as your stories seem to be well-received. It just takes time.

All I can add is maybe enter the next story competition. Stories in competitions tend to attract a wider readership, have more views, and likes. You may pick up more followers that way if you write something that appeals.
