Announcing our Advent competition

From the Latin adventus, meaning, coming 😄

It’s that time of year, where many are putting up trees and fairy lights, planning gifts and recipes, getting the house ready to receive friends and family over the festive period.

Although Christmas is the big day, it’s often the build-up that’s the most fun, especially for the Lush community who have an uncanny ability to inject a little naughtiness into any situation.

We want stories about the advent period, that build up before the big day... the countdown.

Perhaps you and your partner have invested in a couple of naughty elves, and leave each other an x-rated ‘elf on a shelf’ scenario that you must act out at some point that day.

It could be that someone decides to make the office Secret Santa draw a little outrageous this year, by getting a colleague a very ‘NSFW’ gift.

Or maybe putting up the Christmas decorations is made extra spicy with some eggnog, sex toys and a lack of clothing.

We’re leaving the theme fairly open, but whatever you decide, it must be set in the run up to Christmas. As we only have 24 days of advent*, this competition will only run to Dec 24th, and to mimic the short timescale, we’re imposing a word limit of 1500 words. Your story can be in the flash category (roughly 600 – 1000 words for a complete story) but please, no micros or poetry.

*Yes, I’m starting this on the 2nd. I’m a day late. Sue me, lol.

This competition will run through Dec 24th, with winners being announced on the 31st.

First prize $150

Second prize $100

Third prize $50.

For full competition rules, see here.

Advent

From the Latin 'adventus', meaning 'coming'.

I'm debating a bonus point for any Elf On A Shelf adjacent titles.

Sprite on a Kite

Slut in a Hut

Betty on a Jetty

I’m taking Fox in a Box as my title smile

Kindness is contagious. Spread it! ❀

Since DĂżke with a Spike got completely out of hand in the last one, maybe I'll try DĂżke on a Hike.
"Hi. Is this tent taken? Would it like to be?"

i have a title already. Jen in a fen with some men.

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

Has Cock on the Rock been done yet? Oh wait, here we go: Jugs on the Rug.

How about Tranny with a Fanny?

Of course the direction of that story very much depends on whether it is the British or the American meaning of fanny.

Ah. I didnt think of that. It's the British oneđŸ€Ł enlighten me on the American meaning please .

How about "Toys in the Boys"?

Sounds like it swing either way

Just until the 24th, eh? AND in one of the busiest times of the year.

Jen must be hoping not too many people will enter

Just sayin'

An incredibly talented, but modest Polar Bear, often mischievous, but never malicious!

This should be good.

I'll sit back and watch this one.

I'm wondering the same thing. Though I'm so childish that I want a badge! Right now my mind is a total blank. (pretty par for the course!)

Have i won yet? Gonna want my prize in skittles, please.

In theme with the comp, you’ll receive 1/24th of your victory every day until Christmas.

How would you like these submissions formatted? Double space? Font size 12?

Will these stories also be posted on the website???

Richard Burns

On the competition page (linked under the original post above), click the "Enter Competition" button and you'll be presented with a page where you can enter your story title, a one-line description, the story body itself, and more. Mostly you'll be entering pure text, no worries about fonts, although you'll have options for boldspace, underline and italics. If you've been writing your story in an external editor, you'll paste it in here.

You don't have to submit it all in one shot. If you want to hit the Save button and come back later, the work you've entered so far will be available for further editing under your Profile -> Stories -> Drafts.

Once you hit Publish, moderators will take a few days to review your story, and then once approved, it will show under "Competition Entries" on the same competition page. So far there aren't any, but that will surely change soon. Besides being listed on the competition page, entries will be visible on the website the same as non-competition entries: initially on Lush's landing page until newer stories bump it off, and for much longer on the page for whatever Category you assigned it to.

So my first attempt is nearing the halfway mark and, um, yeah. No sex, just story. Sex is mentioned, at least. It's basically a 16+ StoriesSpace piece right now. Sigh. On to second attempt, I guess.

A strange little something for Halloween.

You've got this, Ape! I've read your steamy stuff...you can do it!

Private Show - A man and his wife ditch a public performance in favor of a private one in this microfiction piece.

Perfectly Imperfect - where love and sex collide and a man knows his wife better than she knows herself.

The Naughty Babysitter - Part Three - Katie gives up control of her body.

Boardrooms & Boudoirs Part Fourteen - Chapters 53-56 - Grace deals with feeling out of sorts.

No need for an adjacent title! After a few hours of thinking about it, I’ve landed on a title - Elf on a Shelf. The 1500 word limit is going to be challenging. I’ve got a few hours next week to make it work.

I surprised myself and wrote out my idea in a few hours. I just gotta tweak the grammar and all that, I wonder if it is advent enough lol. Kinda fitting theme after NNN. Deck the dash with all the quickies, fa la la la lololol ...

I just thought of a second idea. Each has an “elf” on a “shelf”. Now I need to decide which direction to go!

Head in the bed,,,of a pickup truck.

Wonderfully imaginative first entry in the contest! Absolutely drenched with kinky holiday fun.

On a personal note, it took me a while to come up with it, but I just got my story idea outlined.

Right away I had come up with what might be a better idea, which might have even aligned with the Elf on a Shelf challenge, but I couldn't figure out how to fully realize the idea within the rules of the site. Let's just say it involved a pop-up Labubu store. Feel free to take that idea and run with it, anyone else.
