It was an absolute joy to read through the shortlist for this competition. So much variety and imagination was on display. You lot are wicked, lol. I didn't think anything could make me blush any more, but turns out I was wrong.

Anyway, without further ado, let me congratulate the winner of this particular competition, Mr Klaus_B_Renner. His seductive tale of obsession in the arts twisted and turned, bringing the audience along for the ride. And what a breathless ride it was.

In second place, hearty congratulations go to Andrea Detroit who took a simple theme of forbidden lust and elevated it with such wonderful writing. The whole story was just dripping with need.

And finally, in third place, we have ArconathResonath, whose wonderfully explicit writing of a woman discovering her kinky side no doubt had people wincing and cheering in equal measure. Exquisite writing.

Please let me extend my thanks to all involved in this competition. To the brave shortlister who gamely volunteered for the horrible job of whittling this list down. To all the judges, who I'm grateful managed to carve out time to give me their thoughts. And as always, to all the writers and readers who made this competition what it is. Thank you so much for participating and for making this competition so interesting and diverse.

A new competition will be announced shortly.

Winners, I will be in touch over the next day or two regarding prizes, as I sort the rest of the admin for this comp.

Jen x

1. Mayra by Klaus_B_Renner

2. Unfaithfully Yours by AndreaDetroit

3. Velvet Prison by ArconathResonath

4. The Time It Takes by SubmarineSammy

5. Where the Music Touches by KimmiBeGood

6. Just Crazy Enough by Stephswriting

7. Bobbies Blue Eyes by RowanThorn

8. He Loves me by Katie the Writer

9. Stoner Boys by Henke

10. My Alien Lover by Madeline Miles

Congratulations all. Nice to see some unfamiliar (to me, at least) names up there. I have largely let this one slip by me for various reasons but what I have heard about the field has all been positive.

A strange little something for Halloween.

Strange Rites

So many new faces and diverse takes! Congrats and many thanks to everyone who entered, offering their time and creative smuttery to entertain us all smile

Curiosity is one of those insatiable passions that grow by gratification.

Well-deserved congratulations to the winners and the runners-up, a huge well done to all who entered, and enormous thanks to all those wonderful Lushies who read the stories and left our authors likes and comments - you are the fuel that keeps our creative fires burning.

Love Is Blind | Lush Stories - A poem of love and pain...

Well done, podium!!! You nailed it! worship :worship: Congrats to the Top Ten and all who are brave enough to enter. Many things kept me from reading a lot of entries, but the few I got to were so well done!

Thank you for showing my shy librarian with her quieter obsession love! I’m truly touched as this was a “me” story, and one of my fav writes.

Thank you to Jen and rest of the admin, mods, and judges for all you do for us!

Love to all! ❤️

Kindness is contagious. Spread it! ❤️

Wow, what a fab list. An incredible turnout of over 100 entries for such a high word limit, and with such varying slants on the theme, is testament to the talent we have on the site. There's no way I'd have even known where to start shortlisting, let alone judging.

Congratulations to the podium winners and all those who rounded out the top ten. And, in fact, anyone who took the time to sit down and craft a story from scratch for consideration deserves high praise, because entering Lush competitions can be daunting.

Sad to say that I haven't read most of the top ten, so I'll have to try to make time to do so. Crazy busy, unfortunately.

Usual shout-outs to the team behind the comps. It's a time-consuming process to set up, run, shortlist, judge and announce, so everyone involved needs a hearty pat on the back.

Congrats again to all involved. Onto the next one...

This was one of my favorite comps to date. The creativity was unstoppable!! Congrats to the winners, the top ten, and everyone who jumped into the competition. ❤️

I only read a few of these, but I did read those Andria Detroit, Henke and Kimmiebegood and they were excellent. Hats off to all the winners and Top 10!

Congratulations to the top 10 and all the participants. 😊❤️
A big shoutout to all the mods and the judging panel. Best of luck
It was indeed a great read

Congratulations to the podium stories, and to the rest of the top ten. Hard earned and well-deserved all. A shout-out to to all who made the effort to enter the competition knowing they're up against some of the most able and talented writers you'll find anywhere. A true display of courage and perseverance. Well done all!

Thank you for the top 10! Incredibly excited with so many great pieces out there.

I didn’t have much time for reading and was hopping around a lot, and I’m thrilled to find a lot of the top 10 I haven’t read yet! A treat for the next few days to go over the top entries!

Congratulations to the winners and the rest of the top ten! What a great comp theme! Thanks to Jen and the judges for all their hard work. 😎

(Klaus’s story was the one I picked in my head to win.)

Private Show - A man and his wife ditch a public performance in favor of a private one in this microfiction piece.

Perfectly Imperfect - where love and sex collide and a man knows his wife better than she knows herself.

The Naughty Babysitter - Part Three - Katie gives up control of her body.

Boardrooms & Boudoirs Part Fourteen - Chapters 53-56 - Grace deals with feeling out of sorts.

I’m supposed to say something, right?

I just woke up, being Norwegian and all. I think I woke, anyway.

I’m honest when i say “not in my wildest dreams”. I mean, I had faith in Mayra, but…

I don’t know where to start or who to start thanking, but it feels natural to start with the two people I thanked when posting. Without Matt and Kimmi’s encouragement, Mayra would never have happened.

Shortlister? I envy you not.

Judges- thank you.

Podium- what the actual fuck?!

Top ten: congratulations!

Jen? What am I supposed to say?

I….

Forget it. Thank you ❤️

My obsession competition winner, Mayra.

No? How about an Editor's Pick? Riding the Ghost Train is raw. Sensual. Honest. The kind of story you still smell when it's over.

Don't have time? Micro? Chase Me (Catch Me)

Need to cry? My October. Recommended. Not by me.

Well done to the winners. Your stories are fantastic. And they make me realize how far I still have to go, as a novice amateur, to reach your heights. The road is long, the slope steep, but one day, I will see the horizon like you. Congratulations!

Whenever I enter a competition, I never expect to do well, in fact I'm just glad I can think of something to write about, so I was very much surprised to see my entry had been chosen as runner-up.

Thank you to everybody who has read, commented and liked my story. A big thank you to the moderators who've helped improve my writing throughout the years and to the judges for their "😉 impeccable” decision.

I'm truly humbled by this.

You are too kind.

Or after my money.

You'll be sorely disappointed if it's the latter...

What I meant to say was "Thank you"

Oh wow, really didn't expect my stumbling writing to pull through and a place in the podium! It had been long years since I was last active on the site, and came back to see a comp going on... I'm just glad the idea was good enough to overcome the little itsy bitsy parts of my engrishu text and resonate with people.

Congrats to all other contestants, I read a lot of them and I loved almost all of them!

I note that my entry, Mary Had A Little Lamb, came 11th. In future, can we please expand the list of winners to at least the top 11 or better still 15. Thank you.

I'll add to the list and offer Congratulations to the Top Ten. I had only read two of them, which I thought were exceptional. The standard this time was so high. How anyone could choose, shortlist, select a winner is beyond me. I could never do it. Huge thanks to the team behind this. I have now read the other two stories in the top 3. Absolutely amazing. Very worthy winners. None of these stories was a “comfortable “ read which is exactly what the theme of Obsession is. Disturbing. Well done to everyone who entered.

Roll on the next competition!

Is there somewhere you can see where your story is ranked? I never knew that.

Why not expand the list to every entry. After all, if you made the effort and took the time to write a story for the competition, you are, de facto, a winner and deserving or admiration and recogition.

I understand where you're coming from. I guess we want to know how we compare, also to see if our favourites were ranked. Unfortunately as a teacher, its something I tried really hard to avoid words like the top group. The best at etc. Is awful for the less able. I've heard children say I'm the remedial group, I'm stupid. It can destroy their worth. Rant over. I know if my story was at the bottom of the rankings, I'd never write again! Saying all that, perhaps a top 20???

God, don't encourage him, lol.

Don't worry, it's not even possible. Depending on the shortlister, not everything will be ranked in order. Some whittle down to a long list, some don't.

Congrats to MrKlaus for the win, AndreaDetroit and Arconath for podium as well as the Top 10. Really impresssive number of stories. Big ups for all who participated. And Jen. Especially Jen....😋

Fashionably late to the party as so often LOL

Anyone still standing?

A huge congrats to all the winners and top 10!

I must admit I didn't read that many stories this time but from the few I read, I could tell this comp was gonna be one of the most ferocious ones I've ever participated in. I was right. I am truly delighted to see the top-ranks filled with authors I've never even heard of before. So great to see new faces up there.

There's so much reading I have to catch up with!

So, where's the party?
