Since we decided not to go with "The Buz" or "The Buzby" I decided that I'm going to break my rule of 'no mods' this once and award Buz an Honorary Awesome Badge seeing as how he inspired this program in the first place.

Buz joined us in March of 2011. He was all the things I couldn't conceive of in a friend; a 'good ol' southern boy' from Georgia who talked endlessly about his Georgia Bull "Dawgs" and tailgating. A jock. a frat boy working in the corporate world. And he kept sending me PMs wanting to get to know me. It was annoying!

I think it took about 3 PMs before I put down my preconceptions and realized that this guy was genuinely nice just for the sake of being nice. Looking around the site, I saw him reaching out to help people with stories and edits. He loves to read and write (he's good at it too), and spends a lot of time encouraging others. He's got a huge heart and regularly reaches out to people he knows are going through rough times, even when he's going through the same, and never asks for anything in return. Really, if i could have picked a big brother, it wouldn't have been a contest. he's up on the top of the list.

Please, feel free to show him the love here. I know I'm not alone from reading the comments in the other thread.

Once again, Congratulations Buz for being the nicest guy on Lush and for being totally AWESOME!

You've summed Buz up beautifully Sprite.

He has always given unconditionally, and gone out of his way, to help people around the site. It was his selfless actions and kind spirit, which drew me to contacting him in the first place, asking him to join the Moderator team.

He also epitomises the spirit which we try and foster here. Encouraging fellow authors, and always stepping up to the plate, when we're short handed. He never needs asking, he just gets it.

I don't say the following lightly. Online and off, including people I've met in the corporate world over *cough*, a decade or so, I don't think I've ever worked (well, it's kind of work!) alongside someone who's more of a team player. He has taught me an awful lot in that regard, and I feel like I am a better person for it.

It's also been wonderful to see his raw writing talent and unique style, grow and flourish over the years. He's been Top 3 placed in quite a few of our recent competitions, which is testimony to his ability and dedication to the craft of writing.
