With this new Profile update is it possible to be blocked from my own profile? Today I have been attempting to check out the new profiles and the one that I really want to see is my own. But when I select Profile for myself I get the message telling me I have been blocked and to not attempt to contact myself. Is this temporary or do I need to do something?

Hiya, yeah for some reason you're on your own blocked list, lol. Maybe you were annoying yourself one day or something.
I've tried to remove your name, but it's just eggtiming. Can you do this from your settings? Click on the privacy tab. Does it give you a list of names you have blocked?
If not, I'll get tech to sort it tomorrow.

As I don't write erotica and don't have literature to advertise on my profile, my bio is pretty much hidden.
I don't like the look of the new profiles, for me, but, in saying this, it does*¹ look beautiful for users who have written stories and they get to choose which stories to advertise. The options are now visible(no more drop bar so users know where everything is--in plain sight)

Thanks, Jen. I see what you mean. I don't really block a lot of people. It is telling me when I try to delete my name from the blocked list, that there is a problem right now. I do hope you can resolve it tomorrow.
Just logged in to see the changes. I do like the new layout as I have seen so far. I may have to re-word my bio a tiny bit since they they have a drop down option to read more - and I am wordy, so that's the only thing I have noticed so far that I may change, but I think it looks cool so far.

Full, unabbreviated statistics. Search functionality. Two massive issues I had that are now solved.
Text search of your story list is a little wonky. It doesn't seem to search the entire list, but rather only the page you're on. Being able to filter by other criteria makes it manageable. I can remember the categories, and that creates a small enough list to be a single page for the most part. I can find what I'm looking for and see what I want to see at a glance with an acceptable amount of effort.
Likewise, using the specific story option for stories to highlight on your profile doesn't give access to your full story list either. Not a deal breaker for me, but it would be nice if you could choose any three specific stories.
( I'm guessing both of those are something that's already slated for tweaking )
Combine that with the new leaderboards, and I'm feeling infinitely more comfortable with the state of things. Bonus points for the excellent new series functionality.
I do think the leaderboards for each category should be featured as a link "More Popular Stories" right next to the two popular stories on each category's page. I think they'll generate a lot more traffic when linked from there, rather than only from the bottom of the page menu.
Please, at least give us the ability to link an image in our forum signatures. I hate how everybody is neutering signatures nowadays, but I'll sigh and live with it if I can just post an image and have it be a clickable link to the story. That is the final major issue I have with the migration to 2.0

Ah okay. I'll ask if changing a background will be possible at any point.
The tech team will work through the list of minor bugs today and then we can hopefully get onto identifying things that are different and things that maybe just don't look the way they used to. Thanks. As well as the things raised here, we know there are issues with friends lists display/ordering etc, so no need to raise a separate thread for things like that.

I have queries regarding both the friends listing and the followers listing but I will wait to see if my perceived problems resolve themselves.

This is on the bug list. A little patience, please. They are a small team working through things. Because they're small, it's easier to go live and have users identify minor bugs like this which can then get patched up. There are infinitely more of us than them.
The world isn't going to end if people can't post smut for a day.
I still haven't been able to post any of my media on my friend's walls. The only media shown is that of my friends not mine. I assume the visitor option was intended to bring up my media. Hopefully this will be ironed out soon 🤞 All in all, I don't find the new format any more beneficial or attractive to lap top users.

There are no plans to amend the background at the moment. The only other thing you could use is dark mode, which will work on around 75% of pages. Click the link below to enable. If you want to revert back, you'll need to clear cookies.
I'm a developer too, so I know goodies are always appreciated. Here's a plate of cookies as a thanks for your hard work. And it is hard, stressful work where you only hear from users when there's an issue. 
I understand we're all here for different things and have different likes and wants. I'm mostly here to read and write and enjoy interacting with readers/authors in story comments, so I don't have many needs as far as my profile.

The background image isn't shown when not logged on. Is your wallpaper shown when logged out of lush?

EDIT: my profile is visible to all as I don't block and I have the box ticked on "Profile is visible to non members / search engines", so if you are logged off, you can still see my profile and don't get the "join lush to see" profile.
Some writers have their profiles fully blocked, I know that SimplyJohn has his blocked, so I as a needy cockwhore, need to be logged on to see his profile.
