Read the person's entire profile before sending a friend-request or assuming anything.

I totally agree..random friend requests can be so annoying..take the time to find that member..get to know them alittle before doing this..read their stories..vote or comment on 1 or 2..some of us are more than just a pretty pic. here...even on-line..respect is appreciated.!!

The authors here put in a lot of their time and efforts to provide the wonderful stories that are available to us and so it would be a nice way of saying thank you to at least vote or write a comment on the story. biggrin

I'm not sure if this belonged here and I'm sure its been mentiioned elsewhere but oh well ^.^

Very good call!! It only takes a moment to do and writers generally appreciate it so very much. Even if you can't be bothered to comment, or have nothing good to say, a wee vote makes all the difference... Some of the stories have obviously been worked on very hard and

Also, the direct PMs about new stories don't bother me so much, after all, Lush is an erotic stories site, so I guess that it's to be expected from time to time.

However, if you solicit me in this way (and some are quite relentless), it would really be nice if you were able to take the time out to read and vote at least on one of mine on occasion... It just seems like the mannerly thing to do...

I don't read every story posted by my friends - sometimes it's because of the category they are in - just not my thing. However, I do try and read a story or two a day and I always vote and comment...

(btw I drooled more over your previous avatar even though I haven't a clue who he is - don't say it is you, I know it is someone famous lol)

That would be Colin Farrell. He is rather hot isn't he. This was hilarious, in a rather macabre way: http://www.imdb.com/video/imdb/vi783417625/

Loud's Rules!!!

Rule 1: Argue! This is absolutely the most important rule of posting in any online forum and many of the other rules are based upon it.

Rule 2: Flame other posters. This rule goes hand in hand with rule 1.

Rule 3: Never, under any circumstances, use proper spelling and grammar.

Rule 4: Lie. Fabricate stories about girlfriends or boyfriends you don't have, experiences you've never had, and sports you don't play. After all, who's going to check?

Rule 5: When arguing, be sure to point out every minor spelling and/or grammatical mistake in your opponent's previous post. This will distract the other users reading your argumentative and insulting posts.

Rule 6: On most forums there is a search feature. This feature is just there for show; make sure never to use it.

Rule 7: Never back down or give up on an argument. No matter how clear it is that you're in the wrong and have lost, keep arguing and flaming.

Rule 8: When your username is banned from the forum (and if you've followed the previous rules correctly it will be) register under an alternate username and continue to troll about the forums. Mock the admin who banned your other username while you're at it. When you're banned again, simply repeat the process all over again.

If you follow this guide correctly you should earn yourself the coveted "IP ban" the ultimate goal of all good members of a message board, in no time!

OK, let me be serious.....well, I do try!!

A. Don't feed the troll. Enough said!

B. Sadly, teenagers sneak onto Lush. They have funny ways of spelling and don't understand that proper grownups don't want to put up with their pubescent attempts at ‘humour'. Let the Admins know if someone is underage. Not all teenagers are evil, mind. Just most of them.. LOL

C. If you're replying in a thread, make sure what you're writing is funny, interesting or funny and interesting. “yeh i agree lol” is not, in any way, shape or form, a valid reply, ever.

D. Respect the Admins, that's right!! That includes me! LMAO

E. DON'T USE ALL CAPS IN YOUR POST (you reading Mazza?)

F. Don't just jump in to the forums spouting off reams and reams your amazing knowledge of whatever. Lurk around a bit first and read some threads to see whether or not that's even remotely the sort of thing people there would be interested in.

G. Don't post massive pictures that are wider than most peoples' screens.

H. Now Drama!!.... Used properly, Lush can be a tool for good. If used for overblown, melodramatic weepy Emo nonsense, it's ruined and needs to be scrubbed clean. Learn to relax and take everything in your stride. No one's on Lush to get all stressed and angsty, we're all just here for a good time. So leave all your haughty drivel at the door.

I. Read the FAQ and Forum Rules.

I'd remove the "contact us" service cos it's useless. I sent there a message recently but "Pixie" couldn´t bother to answer.

I'd use the same system as Literotica on the audio stories, ie, each story should be read by his/her author. (got nothing about that lady, but it gets boring after a while)

I'd ban Nicola for being a pain in the ass and being obsessed about her "ownership of the site" power trips.

Do it and you'll have a great site in no time.

PS. Ban Dudalicious too, he seems a bit corny with that Colin Farrel avatar.

YEA I AGRE LOL

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

All of the above and in addition, if you post a story and write about it in your status, I don't see the need to send an email and then an online message directly asking me if I have read your story. That is just plain awkward!

Yes this one gets to me as well. Where is that damned like button anyway?

Here's a good one: don't post in forums just for the sake of posting. Just because you click on a thread, doesn't mean you have to post (unless it's the topic "If you click this forum you have to post"). Oh and no spamming, please.

i agree with the majority of posts. if you poke someone once and they poke you back, there is no need for multiple pokes. also, respect the fact that not all requests for pvt chats will be honored. if i refuse, more than likely i'm reading or trying to talk to as many people as possible.

Say. Her. Name.
