I don't know why the pizza nazis get so worked up about this and whine that it's "not pizza." As with sex, don't get hung up on labels and definitions. Just enjoy what you enjoy. If you don't like it, don't eat it. But don't tell other people what to eat. There are a lot of foods in this world that are gross to me - including several other popular pizza toppings - but I don't go around bitching about it. Eat and let eat.
Personally, I like it but wouldn't often order a whole pie of it because there are other pizzas I like better. But if someone orders a bunch of pizzas for a group, and there's a Hawaiian in there, I'll have a slice.
