Since today is "Red Nose Day" - a day dedicated to feeding the hungry children in our country (USA), let's look at a few facts, shall we?

- One F-35 fighter jet, unmanned and unarmed, costs 94.6 - 122.4 million dollars
- One Tomahawk Missile costs 1.87 million dollars (how many of those have we launched lately?)
- One M1 Abrams tank, unmanned and unarmed, costs 8.92 million dollars
- The latest Ford Class aircraft carrier, the Gerald R Ford, cost 10.44 billion dollars to build
- And the cost to train one soldier from Basic Training through to first assignment is approximately 150,000 dollars depending on their field or MOS.

*these facts are found on Wikipedia

If we spent a little less time trying to kill one another and realized we are all on this tiny rock together, imagine what we could do with all this wasted money?

I agree, as well as Hubbie does with your post, and he is a retired Air Force Pilot. We both believe the most important word in your post, is the first word in your last paragraph. "if". But as long as there are nut jobs like the leader of a North Korea, and he is small compared to a lot of others. It is like Hubbie has always said, "We need to walk softly and carry the biggest and baddest stick we can get our hands on." We believe this is necessary to prevent the possible complet distruction of the planet.

It's a shame that it is this way, but it has been this way since the beginning of man on this planet of ours.

Superman is a crossdresser.
Damn it!!! It's still raining. Since 28 May it has rained at my office or the house. Most days it was at both? We have had 4.18 inches at the airport since 1 Jun. Enough already. My flowers are drowning and the weeds and sugar cane are both growing like weeds. The sugar cane behind our house has grown two feet since 1 May.

Peter Duchin and ex-wife Brooke Hayward both had the same stepmother - Pamela Digby Churchill Hayward Harriman. At different times, of course.
Florida Everglades is the only place in the world where both crocodiles and alligators coexist.

I have a new story out! Wish You Were Here A teasing sub may I have pushed too far, but the punishment is oh so sweet.

If you haven't already, please check out my story with leftlingula. A husband and wife rediscovered each other and It all started with one simple word...
Nightshade Part 1 & Nightshade: Part 2

It finally stopped raining for the last couple of days. But the forcast for tomorrow I'd 100% and very high for the next few days.

I'm afraid that's not a fact: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Jump_Day#Science

There are a number of reasons to reject the thesis:

- It is impossible to permanently change the Earth's orbit using the planet's own mass (which includes that of the world's population) unless such mass is ejected from the Earth at escape velocity (see Newton's third law of motion). The center of gravity of the system containing the earth and its population of humans will remain in exactly the same orbit it was always in throughout the jump. However, for the very brief moment when the jumpers were in the air, the Earth's orbit would have been moved a tiny bit - only to be restored to its exact same location by the force of gravity acting between the jumpers and the planet while they were in the air.

- Even ejecting such mass from the Earth (or colliding to it from outer space), the resulting energy would be equivalent to only 2% of the energy released by a modern hydrogen bomb, shifting the Earth's orbit just a small fraction of the radius of a single atom.

===  Not ALL LIVES MATTER until BLACK LIVES MATTER  ===

On average, cats spend 65-75% of the day sleeping (16-18 hours). Moreover, nearly 50% of their awake time is spent grooming (3-4 hours).

Contrarily to popular belief, cats are some of the most productive creatures on Earth and manage to accomplish all of their daily vital tasks in roughly 4 hours (ie. begging for food, scratching the sofa, contemplating birds through the window, meowing at spiders, complaining about their litter-boxes, etc.).

The life of a cat is much more strenuous than most people assume.

Don't forget to sat 'Hi'

Electricity travels at 670,616,629.38 miles/hour (through 12 gauge copper wire). Which means if you could lay a wire around the Earth at the equator and turned on the switch, the electricity would go 39,499 times around the world in one second, not taking account resistance of the wire.

how sweet it is!?
