1. Never be afraid to ask for help when you need it. I'd rather ask a stupid question than make a stupid mistake. (I need to practice this one more often)

2. Remember to thank people and give credit. No one ever got upset at someone giving credit or citing outside references or stating influences. Give credit where credit is due and thank people. It's a lot easier than being accused of plagiarism.

3. Just because you're in a bad spot now, it does not mean you will be there forever. Opportunities will come and go, things will happen for you.

4. Think of everything as a lesson. Even the good things. Take that experience, use it and learn from it, for future reference.
