There is a first for everything. Twitter ( X )will pay the legal fees of anyone who gets fired because of something he or she did on that platform:

If you were unfairly treated by your employer due to posting or liking something on this platform, we will fund your legal bill.

No limit. Please let us know.

Who knows if those people will have good cases? I presume it will depend on the facts and on the jurisdiction they are in. Eventually, a body of law in this area will develop. Meanwhile, I hope the threat of litigation will protect some employees’ ability to speak freely.

This is just like Trump saying he’ll pay for lunch.

Don Jr was met with silence when he said his hog dad qualified for this.

Lol, gullible as ever.

As I commented on another site, this must have Elon's accountants and lawyers shitting bricks. The legal and financial horror stories just write themselves.

So X users can lambast their bosses who scold them for being chronically late, lazy, and incompetent at work, then firing them.

Yeah, let's see how that works? Okay, Elon pony up, dude. Shut up or put up.

How about Elon Musk's employees embarrassing him on twitter-flitter X? Do you think that's safe?

Is Elon going to practice this on his own employees.

Twitter already was becoming a shit show. So, you can imagine Elon paying attorney/court fees for someone losing a defamation suit, as a result of their firing over labeling their company?

Folks, we're watching a fool's hoochie coochie show. Are you foolish enough to bite?

Quote by Chryses

The BBC posted a similar story. If Mr. Musk fails to manage this correctly, I could see it quickly becoming very expensive.

And that would be quite entertaining.

Quote by Ironic

I don't know if this is real. But if it is

Libs of TikTok on Twitter: "Self proclaimed “black supremacist” goes on unhinged racist tirade after finding out her sister slept with a white man. She vows to destroy the relationship before asking her boyfriend to “come and kill him for me.” She is reportedly a teacher in Texas and has a history of… https://t.co/C7bSVt6Udb" / X

And she's been fired for it

Chaya Raichik on Twitter: "How it started How it’s going https://t.co/8W6VdVrOFK" / X

Should Mr. Musk be willing to help her?

only if he plans on keeping his word.

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

Zuckerberg's gonna pound Musk to a pulp. I'll read about it on Google News.

I created a twitter account in 2013, at the urging of a girlfriend. "It's where everyone is going, to comment on daily happenings and catch the latest buzz!"

I've probably logged in fewer than 100 times a year since then, and I've yet to post any comments. Things have not improved since Musk 'finally' purchased the site for about 40 billion more than it was worth. Just to own libs.

99.99% of what's on twitter is dross at best.

Reddit >Facebook >X . And Reddit is infamous for its suckage.

Musk is talking the talk (like Trump) he hasn't actually done anything that qualifies as walking the walk, (again, like his buddy).

When it comes down to it, I bet Musk never pays for a single attorney consultation with a matchbook lawyer - let alone, ongoing legal expenses for an F Lee Bailey or Johnnie Cochran style legal representation.

Twitter is losing its' appeal to the masses. I see it slowly dying and heading for bust.

All you need to do is wait to find out.

But, but, but - you claimed he was already Walk'n the Walk...like the real movers and shakers and benefactors of mankind.

Musk is a trust fund baby/mook, raised during his formative years @ the height of apartheid in South Africa.

Check out the time line between his offer and her firing. smile

What does that have to do with the price of tea in China? You people are so enamored by billionaires who happen to lean hard into the right side of the ledger. I am calling out Cervix for trumpeting his man-crush to the point of presenting more actual fake news.

I am not impressed with Musk, nor are thousands of people who have worked directly with him and adjacently with him and especially - for his companies, who find it difficult to suffer his eccentricities. Ya'll treat him with such reverence, the rest of us who watch the comments which emit from the Elon Admiration Society, hailing the greatness or the edginess of Musk - reminds many of the sycophantic bootlicking seen from the GQP over another human failure as a person.

We smirk or wince or otherwise laugh at the people you prop up to support. I'm a little upset that none of you GQPers have yet to try to run Mike Cernovich through the car wash of public opinion.

I could give a shit less about Musk's offer or some random firing, neither of which will ever impact my life positively nor negatively - he's just another control freak capitalist parasite (with a huge bank account).

It looks like she didn't have the time to call Musk to ask for his help before you made an issue of the help not happening, but it looks like that's not important to you. You'd prefer to "smirk or wince or otherwise laugh", right?

He's not paying for anyone's legal fees, he just said that so dummies like you can spread it around for a few days before everyone forgets he said it in the first place. It's just some free publicity/attention for him.

Useful idiocy.

How does this story actually impact anyone other than Musk? He made a Trumpian off the cuff remark - finds himself now in a position to man up or catch hell (and he doesn't care about catching hell - that more free pub in his eyes).

For you slower members of the GQP suicide squad: My main issue is the bullshit spewed by Cervix with the subject line of his original post. Musk isn't walking any walk. That is the 2nd time I've stated it.

The content is lifted straight from a Twitter post within a GQP fever dream culture war issue. Who gives a flying fuck about any of this extraneous bullshit?

You GQP freaks do, that's who. You've been creating false equivalences and setting up a full banquet of tableware while serving up wet farts that could fit in your shirt pocket - trying to stir the pot and Win Against The Libs!

Another smoke show.

Just my impressions, but there's most likely a reason Musk makes poor impulsive decisions, and I'd be willing to bet that reason is most likely cocaine. I don't know for certain that he's a coke-fiend, but his behavior isn't too dissimilar to people who regularly abuse cocaine.

Don't believe everything that you read.

He says he has autism.

Being that Elon has yet to provide funding for legal aid due to someone losing their job for posting on twitter (X), the title of this thread is a misnomer.

If you say so. Even autistic people can do cocaine.

If I say so? I don't just make things up.

Musk himself says he has autism. Autistic people tend to have trouble properly communicating and navigating socially.

I guess you can blame cocaine (something you're making up) but I think the autism may affect his posting on twitter more than hypothetical cocaine use.

Thanks for containing the nonsense in my stead. Said nonsense has been removed and we can move forward. However, if the nonsense continues, the thread will be closed permanently.

Elon Musk is an incredibly brilliant person who has done some amazing things but juxtaposed with his brilliance is a significant gap in how he deals with reality. Throughout history, it seems businessmen(Howard Hughes), artists( Van Gogh) politicians(JFK) are never quite mentally stable. The price of excellence?

Quote by ElCoco

I wonder why Mr. Zukerberg won't agree?

won't agree with what? at present, Musk has gone from 'well, i can't do it for a while, cause i'm having surgery' to 'how about if we just have a debate?'

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

Quote by ElCoco

I wonder why Mr. Zukerberg won't agree?

What?

Sounds like Elon was only interested in talking the talk for attention.

Quote by ElCoco

"You people"? Really? What do you mean by that? Are you lumping together everybody who doesn't think what Musk said is "actual fake news"?

.

"you prop up to support"? Who am I supporting?

.

"Ya'll treat him with such reverence"? I've never had anything to say about Elon Musk. All I did was remind you that there hasn't been time for anything to happen since that racist woman got fired and for Musk to support her freedom of speech or condemn her racist speech.

.

If you really didn't care about him, you wouldn't rant about him.

Some think cage fights are walking the walk. Some think supporting freedom of speech is walking the walk.

Different strokes and all that ...

I think walking the walk refers to following through with one’s claims.

I truly feel sorry for anyone who actually believes Elon Musk is some sort of champion of free speech.
