I'm sure all Americans have forgotten about the 4 years of bad days and bad nights, Donald Trump unleashed upon America. His decisions during that timeframe are still haunting the USA today and will for quite some time - but that doesn't mean we have to elect him to the Presidency again.

Perhaps we just need to reacquaint ourselves with the damage this human filth unleashed on the country when he was calling the shots. (not to mention how he mishandled COVID19) -

Agreed, Bill, this is not a good thing. No matter how I feel about Trump or any other President, for the stability of the Republic I don't want to see them getting shot. I guess we'll learn more about the identity of the shooter in the next couple of days.

No matter how massively this may have benefited the Trump campaign, and how iconically it was photographed, there is not currently any real evidence that it was staged. The fact that Trump is pretty much guaranteed a win now does not establish that the shooting was staged. Sorry.

What our political climate really does not need more of is the bandying of bold conspiracy hypotheses (many of which don’t deserve the label “theory”), based merely on an (often shadowy) beneficiary of a particular event - but without any actual evidence. This is happening increasingly on both sides of the political divide.

Trump was more scared of people finding the lifts in his shoes than he was of the shooter/shooters.

That was my first thought too. At 150 yards you are either shooting to kill, or shooting to miss. Unless you are a colossally skilled sniper, you are not shooting to graze an ear. And FWIW, Crooks was regarded by members of the local gun club as a lousy shot. He is not the guy you would send in if this was your desired outcome.

The shots could have been real, sacrificing a couple maga cult members, and trump could have bladed his ear or just poured some ketchup on it. Haven't y'all ever seen wrestling? No actual footage of the bullet hitting his ear... a bullet that would have blown it off probably. His ear looks intact.

I think a camera would have picked up the ricochet off his rock solid sprayed hair and his ear moving if it was hit lol. I mean the cameras in the 60's could catch bullets hitting things. The secret service is on video telling the camera men to get on the other side of Trump a few minutes before the shooting, I thought that was weird too.

Those cameras in the 60's catching bullets hitting things were not standard TV broadcasting cameras. No matter how well you may remember them.

Apparently it wasn't a bullet that reportedly hit his ear, it was a piece of the teleprompter-turned-projectile that clipped his ear.

At any rate, I'm not too keen on calling this a hoax without supporting evidence. For what it's worth, I hope it isn't a hoax because turning this election season into even more of a farce than what it is, by way of a fake assassination attempt no less, does not bode well for this country. Not to mention the precedent this sets for potential copycats.
