3 things you are grateful for today

Research by UC Davis psychologist Robert Emmons, author of Thanks!: How the New Science of Gratitude Can Make You Happier, shows that simply keeping a gratitude journal—regularly writing brief reflections on moments for which we’re thankful—can significantly increase well-being and life satisfaction.

In this note, write three things you are grateful for: it does not have to be a momentous occassion, it could be the simple pleasures of life. I’ll start:

a good night’s sleep, coffee to keep me awake, it’s almost Friday :-)

1. being friends with a who has encouraged me to write. Have a few things bouncing around in my head. (see the post above),(no ketchup on my eggs, EVER. However a good salsa is sometimes welcomed)
2 The horrendous ice storm predicted, managed to miss me (that's what I get for spending hours preparing for the worse)
3. gee, dodging the ice storm has left me searching for #3.... Sanders Hot Fudge topping...
