The good thing about being a writer is that inspiration can come from anywhere. You could get it from the places Kistin and Kimmi mentioned. Heck, you can get it from the news, TV/movies, things people say in conversation with you.
Generic tropes, you can ask yourself, "What if I take this generic trope, but imagine how it would look if presented on Cable TV?"
Sometimes, a title can come to you before a story idea and stuff expands from there. Discovering Plutonium By Accident came about from watching a Seinfeld episode years ago 😆. Then I thought, what would be a case of discovering such a rare thing/opportunity? My Comp story came about from a picture, combined with me remembering someone uttering the phrase "Fucked In The Head".

I skip a large segment of their suggestions. Punctuation or if I screw up some hyphenations are where it helps me the most.

No it may not! Which is why I will never give them a dime, but I would donate to them to make the premium suggestions go away and never come back.
The premium suggestion section I use mainly for punctuation. A lot of their sentence restructuring suggestions are very meh to me. Like, I just wanna know my punctuation is decent, man 💀.

I have another story that's complete and I only have to run through Grammarly before submission as well. I'll submit that after the comp story is published. Maybe in early June.
I can't wait to finish my story so I can get to reading entries. Writing is rewarding, but the process is annoying, lol.

My draft is finished at 4102. When I edit for logic and plot holes, stuff will probably be added, which increases the word count. Then I have to cut it to under 4000 words.
Writing is very irritating 🤬.
Been back and forth with this. Many ideas failed in my head. Some I know would exceed 4K. Came up with a title after seeing a pic yesterday, male character motivation. The female character's motivation, and the story conflicts are what I find difficult to develop.
Writing is frustrating 😑.
